Defining the outcomes of teacher education: what's social justice got to do with it?

In the context of escalating criticism of university‐based teacher education across the world, a clear need exists for informed defence of the field and the profession as well as critical evaluation of both teacher education and schooling. This paper takes up the issue of the ‘outcomes question’ in this regard, arguing the case for a strong focus on social justice as the necessary complement to an ongoing concern with academic excellence and rigor. It argues the need for teacher educators and others to look closely at the different ways that educational outcomes are currently being defined and for these differences to be made more openly and widely available for criticism and discussion. The paper seeks to contribute to debate regarding the role and renewal of teacher education, in specific relation to widespread standards movements and the public good, and the conduct and governance of education more generally.     

Demand for Stimulation in Young People with Different Levels of Creativity

The relevant literature indicates strong need for novelty, change and exploration in creative people. This study investigated the relationship between demand for stimulation in 100 high school students and their creativity in problem solving situations. A significant relationship was found between the demand for varied stimulation (adventure, novelty, risk) and cognitive flexibility and complexity, nonconformism and spontaneity, as well as tolerance for cognitive incompatibilities. The data help to explain the conditions that are particularly favourable for these people to function in their social environment.     

Early Childhood Education in Poland — Changes and Threats

The article presents:

• first, the most important characteristics of the totalitarian educational system which influence current situations in many fields of education, eg.: teacher education and training, philosophy and practice of education, management of the educational system, etc.

• second, hopes and expectations towards various institutions connected with early childhood education in a new political and social situation and in the time of implementation of free market rules which caused unfavourable phenomena in early childhood education, eg. closures of settings and increase of fees paid by parents who take children away for financial reasons,

• finally, I present my own image of early childhood setting as an institution supporting parents in fulfilling their educational and care duties and involving them in the growth process of a child.

     

试论我国物流效率的提高

我国正处在现代物流业大发展的前夜。物流效率低下已成为制约我国物流业发展的关键问题。提高物流效率，不但需要加速发展现代物流信息技术，实现物流网络化，而且需要打破体制瓶颈，并在转换观念与加速培养现代物流人才等方面做出努力。     

情景模拟教学法在急性左心衰患者急救护理综合实训中的应用

目的:分析急性左心衰竭病患急救护理采用情景模拟教学法的作用。方法:选择我校220例2016级护理专业学生为研究样本,研究时间均在2018年9月至2018年12月之间,采取随机排列表法将其分成组均110例的实验组以及常规组。予以常规组护生基础教学方式,予以实验组护生情景模拟教学法。教学结束后对比两组教学满意度、理论知识以及操作技能考核成绩。结果:实验组护生与常规组护生的理论知识得分以及操作技能得分分别是83.698.04分、71.4612.21分;96.563.19分、81.296.53分(P<0.05)。实验组在创新思维、分析能力、急救意识、学习积极性、合作意识以及急救技能提高方面满意度均高于常规组(P<0.05)。结论:针对急性左心衰病患急救护理采用情景模拟教学法提高护生学习积极性,有利于培养护生的急救意识与合作意识,提高护生急救技能,值得在教学中广泛推广。     

关于积分概念认识的统一性

针对积分认识的特点,将重积分、曲线积分和曲面积分的认识统一到一元函数的定积分,归纳为定义在上的“点函数”(P)的统一积分形式:lim∑(Pi)△Vi=(P)dV。对积分定义、性质、计算和应用等方面的统一性作了系统的论述,给出了应用上较方便的积分微元法定义,并运用实例对积分认识的统一性进行佐证。     

Resilience in Context: A Brief and Culturally Grounded Measure for Syrian Refugee and Jordanian Host‐Community Adolescents

Validated measures are needed for assessing resilience in conflict settings. An Arabic version of the Child and Youth Resilience Measure (CYRM) was developed and tested in Jordan. Following qualitative work, surveys were implemented with male/female, refugee/nonrefugee samples (N = 603, 11–18 years). Confirmatory factor analyses tested three‐factor structures for 28‐ and 12‐item CYRMs and measurement equivalence across groups. CYRM‐12 showed measurement reliability and face, content, construct (comparative fit index = .92–.98), and convergent validity. Gender‐differentiated item loadings reflected resource access and social responsibilities. Resilience scores were inversely associated with mental health symptoms, and for Syrian refugees were unrelated to lifetime trauma exposure. In assessing individual, family, and community‐level dimensions of resilience, the CYRM is a useful measure for research and practice with refugee and host‐community youth.     

任意形状载流闭合导线在均匀磁场中所受力矩

在大多数普通物理电磁学书中都是从矩形载流线圈在均匀外磁场中所受力矩的结论出发,只顺带说了句:此形式结论同样适用于在均匀磁场中任意形状的载流线圈平面,而且未给出其证明过程;至于任意三维的载流闭合导线在均匀外磁场中所受力矩是否也符合这样的公式只字未提。另外在郭硕鸿编《电动力学》中,却对此结论给出了证明过程:从磁偶极子在外磁场中的势函数出发,根据磁偶极子所受的力矩,从而推出和矩形线圈所受力矩相同形式的结论,虽推导过程无懈可击,但总觉得过于迂回,不太直观。在本文中作者尝试给出较为简单而直观的证明。     

CREATIVE THINKING AS A PREDICTOR OF ACHIEVEMENT IN MUSIC

127 students at a musical high school in Cracow completed the Test of Creative Thinking of Necka and Rychlicka and filled out a questionnaire on their musical achievements. They were also rated by their music teachers. The level of creative thinking increased with the age of subjects, but correlations between creative thinking and achievement in music were not significant. Further research on this apparent lack of relationship between musical and verbal creativity is important for music education and counselling of music students.
