应用图书馆学研究是21世纪以来我国图书馆学研究中成绩裴然的领域,本文仅就应用图书馆学如何研究深化的问题,将一些问题综合起来研究的问题,关于构建应用图书馆学体系问题,应用图书馆学与图书馆学基础理论关系等问题谈了一些看法。     

Teachers: A Critical But Overlooked Component of Bullying Prevention and Intervention

To complete this special issue on theoretical bases for antibullying efforts in schools, we focus in this article on the importance of teachers and other educators in the ecology of schools. First, we present evidence that teachers are not perceived to be effective at intervening when bullying occurs. Then, using a social motivational lens, we provide an overview of teachers' role as a socializing agent in the classroom and school with a particular emphasis on their influence on bullying behaviors among students. Then we present two theories, the theory of planned behaviors, and the transactional theory of emotions and coping. We believe these theories highlight the complexity of teacher responses and make the case that teachers need more than knowledge of bullying to be effective in their role. We discuss implications for teacher training and professional development.     

The Public role of school teachers in Korea: For its conceptual reconstruction through its historical tracing

Abstract

This paper makes a bold attempt to make sense of contemporary Koreans’ common expectation of the educational role of public school teachers by tracing its historical and cultural roots to the neo-Confucian humanistic tradition of the Joseon dynasty in Korea that lasted for about 500 years until Korea began to modernize in the late nineteenth century. In this attempt, the key concepts to be explored as equivalent to the Western idea of ‘liberal learning’ are the Confucian ethics of ‘learning for oneself’ and its relation to schooling and teaching. The discussion focuses on whether and how this ethics of learning can be recovered in such a way as to accommodate the postmodern condition of our society, as the educational legacy of the humanistic tradition of East Asia that can keep the public spirit alive in (post-) modern schooling.

试论东北方言词大热的原因

随着赵本山、黄宏等东北演员的崛起,《刘老根》、《马大帅》、《乡村爱情》等东北电视剧的热播,《同桌的你》、《不差钱》等东北小品的广受欢迎,以及《东北人都是活雷锋》等东北歌曲的高度传唱,东北方言呈现出其大热的趋势。本文通过收集资料,采用比较归纳的方法来着重探讨东北方言大热的原因,并加入了前人未探讨的角度不仅从东北方言的自身魅力加以探讨,更是从外在的传播媒介来进行分析,让人们更加清晰明确地了解东北方言的流行原因。

“Even a Penny Will Help!”: Legitimization of Paltry Donation and Social Proof in Soliciting Donation to a Charitable Organization

“Even a penny will help!” is a donation solicitor's effort in legitimating paltry donations in hopes of gaining higher compliance. This study reexamined the effect of Legitimization of Paltry Donation (LPD) in combination with Social Proof (SP) strategy. Participants were given one of four donation soliciting messages: simple request (control), LPD, SP, and LPD/SP. Compliance rate and size were examined through both the survey experiment and the field experiment. The LPD/SP condition yielded the highest rate of compliance both in the survey and field studies, followed by the LPD condition, the SP condition, and the control condition. As for the donation amount, results were not consistent across the two studies. Implications and limitations of the study were discussed.
