图书馆的四个文明

认为图书馆文明包括4个方面：①知识在媒体上的记忆储存;②知识媒体的再现流通与传递;③知识内容的参考与转介服务;④知识内涵与知识表现的管理。从文明性质、社会功能等方面对图书馆4个文明进行比较,指出在图书馆创建文明的同时,需及时解决伴随环境变化而衍生的各种矛盾。     

The Historical-Genetical Approach to Science Teaching at the Oberstufen-Kolleg,Bielefeld

The Oberstufen-Kolleg is a unique institution at the college level in Germany. Founded in the course of the German `Bildungsreform' during the 1960s, it develops and tries out interdisciplinary courses that aim at the understanding of science by integrating its history and philosophy with the development of society and technology. This paper describes the development of the `historical-genetical approach', its leading ideas, experiences of students and teachers with this approach and perspectives concerning a broader implementation. It also gives some examples how to combine learning of science with learning about science.

介绍1960～2010年资讯传播应用的发展状况，预测网站图书馆时代的来临;从图书馆馆藏角度阐述网站图书馆内涵布局的重要性;说明资料库与知识库是网站图书馆的核心典藏，也是传统图书馆书库媒体数位化的延伸;指出网站图书馆作为一个多度空间的图书馆服务网，将比传统图书馆释放更大的服务能量，发挥更重要的社会功能。     

Multidimensional joint coupling: a case study visualisation approach to movement coordination and variability

Abstract

A case study visualisation approach to examining the coordination and variability of multiple interacting segments is presented using a whole-body gymnastic skill as the task example. One elite male gymnast performed 10 trials of 10 longswings whilst three-dimensional locations of joint centres were tracked using a motion analysis system. Segment angles were used to define coupling between the arms and trunk, trunk and thighs and thighs and shanks. Rectified continuous relative phase profiles for each interacting couple for 80 longswings were produced. Graphical representations of coordination couplings are presented that include the traditional single coupling, followed by the relational dynamics of two couplings and finally three couplings simultaneously plotted. This method highlights the power of visualisation of movement dynamics and identifies properties of the global interacting segmental couplings that a more formal analysis may not reveal. Visualisation precedes and informs the appropriate qualitative and quantitative analysis of the dynamics.     

Effect of U-Pace Instruction on Academic Success,Learning, and Perceptions in Younger and Older Undergraduates

A randomized controlled trial was conducted to determine the efficacy of U-Pace instruction for older undergraduates, ages 25 and older, and younger undergraduates, ages 18 to 24. Additionally, change in learner perceptions across the semester, an outcome not reported in the literature on U-Pace instruction, was investigated. In both younger and older undergraduates U-Pace instruction produced greater learning, greater academic success, and sustained or improved students’ perceptions of themselves as learners compared with Face-to-Face instruction. The findings provide strong support for the efficacy of U-Pace instruction in younger and older students and highlight a possible mechanism underlying U-Pace instruction’s effects on learning and academic success.     

‘(Simply) the best’, or remembering when tina turner met the winfield cup: Nostalgia and the construction of authenticity in rugby league online spaces

Abstract

This is an online content analysis using Discourse Tracing to make sense of how rugby league fans talk about changes in the game since the 1980s. Specifically, we are interested in how fans discuss Tina Turner singing ‘(Simply) the Best’ and another song in a famous marketing campaign for Australian rugby league’s professional Winfield Cup. We will use comments below the line on YouTube and in two public fan chat-rooms to explore how the remembering the video constructs a shared myth of Australian and British white working-class masculinity. We argue that while alternative constructions of Australian and British masculinity and national identity are present in this nostalgia, there is also a yearning for a time when hegemonic masculinity intersected with white, working-class nationalist identities and which was reflected in the imagery in the promotional videos.
