Embedded filming for social change: Learning about HIV/AIDS and rural development professionalism

Rural Development Professionals (RDPs) are key actors in processes of social change for people living with HIV/AIDS in rural areas. This article reports on the filming of a series of workshops and courses for RDPs in Ghana, India, Tanzania and Zambia. In this article the filming and the films are analyzed as tools for learning and social change for different audiences. Analyzing the production and consumption processes shows the interconnectedness of the filming and learning during the courses. The results indicate that the films contribute to improved rural development professionalism in the context of HIV/AIDS.

浙江菱属植物花粉形态研究

本文借助光镜和扫描电镜对浙江菱属Trapa L. 9种植物的花粉形态进行了观察，并讨 论了它们的分类学意义。结果表明：菱属植物花粉的立体形状、萌发孔的类型和位置，外壁纹 饰各种间均无差异，但花粉的大小、脊状附属物的高低与形态在各种间存在不同程度的差异，在种类划分和探讨其亲缘关系上有参考价值。     

评价决策单元DEA有效的两阶段法

传统的DEA模型评价决策单元相对有效性，将决策单元分为有效和非有效两大类，不仅无法对决策单元有效性进行排序，而且也无法获得与决策单元有关的管理信息。本文提出评价决策单元DEA有效的两阶段法，不仅解决了对所有决策单元的排序问题，而且对非DEA有效的决策单元解决了如何调整投入产出水平使之达到相对有效的有关管理决策信息。

肖勤的小说《金宝》的叙述涉及四个故事,这四个故事构成了作品内涵的多个层次,而层次与层次间的相互包容和递进,扩张了作品的意义空间。写作主体和叙述主体的叙述视角形成了几个聚焦点,产生了叙事的矛盾,这种矛盾与作者社会认识和社会实践、反映现实与表达理想之间的焦灼感密切相连,表达了作者对人性与道德间冲突的深刻的探索,也隐含了作者对现实的思考。     

Critical Analysis of Primary Literature in a Master’s-Level Class: Effects on Self-Efficacy and Science-Process Skills

The ability to think analytically and creatively is crucial for success in the modern workforce, particularly for graduate students, who often aim to become physicians or researchers. Analysis of the primary literature provides an excellent opportunity to practice these skills. We describe a course that includes a structured analysis of four research papers from diverse fields of biology and group exercises in proposing experiments that would follow up on these papers. To facilitate a critical approach to primary literature, we included a paper with questionable data interpretation and two papers investigating the same biological question yet reaching opposite conclusions. We report a significant increase in students’ self-efficacy in analyzing data from research papers, evaluating authors’ conclusions, and designing experiments. Using our science-process skills test, we observe a statistically significant increase in students’ ability to propose an experiment that matches the goal of investigation. We also detect gains in interpretation of controls and quantitative analysis of data. No statistically significant changes were observed in questions that tested the skills of interpretation, inference, and evaluation.

在人类的生存和发展中,人际交往和关系的构建与维护是非常重要的,其中人际交往能力在人际交往活动中起着很大的作用,对人的价值、生活和社会等方面的形成有着重要的影响。学龄前儿童的人际交往能力处于初步形成和发展阶段,受成人行为的影响很大,具有很大的可塑性。学龄前儿童在游泳学习中,教练员会采取多种方式培养其人际交往能力,在游泳教学中将交际要素融入教学之中,丰富儿童对理解教练信息和同伴合作的经验,提高交际能力。本文从多个角度分析了游泳学习对学龄前儿童人际交往能力的影响,如学龄前儿童的身心发展特点、人际关系对学龄前儿童的影响以及游泳学习对人际交往能力培养的价值。
