Webnovelas: Branding Interactivity in Hispanic TV

The Latino television industry has transformed in order to adapt to a new technological environment, and such changes have had a deep impact on their long-standing strategies of production, marketing, distribution, and consumption of media commodities. Because of changing demographics, such companies have moved to reach new audiences. Given the technological sophistication of those audiences, corporations that sell televisual goods have put branding at the forefront. Webnovelas have become a powerful techno-cultural device that achieves the dual goal of becoming a preferred site for brand entertainment through sponsorship, while at the same time triggering audiences interaction in different mobile platforms producing data over audiences conceived as more “valuable consumers.” Through data available to companies via audience interaction, these preferred audiences are even more susceptible to further commercial exploitation.

高等教育研究方法是开启高等教育研究大门的金钥匙。国内学者对多学科研究方法与高等教育的学科建设的研究,就其内容而言,大多停留在“介绍”和统计层面,系统和深层次的研究较少。高等教育研究方法的可改进之处是：树立科学的方法论意识,为各种研究方法的正确运用提供思想基础;在高等教育研究活动中更多地运用多元化、整体化、综合化的研究方法;加强对研究方法的研究与训练;优化研究结构,加强定性研究与定量研究的结合,发展混合方法研究。     

德育教学中的学生话语权

长期以来,德育教学只是教师单方面对学生的灌输,忽视了学生们在德育教学中的主观能动作用;学生们对此则往往采取不合作、甚至于抵触的态度,使德育教学陷入被动.文章提出在德育教学过程中,给予学生充分的话语权,激发他们的参与意识和热情,试图在一定程度上改变这种状况.

高校非天文学专业本科生天文学课的教学改革

文章从中国高校天文学课程的情况及存在的问题入手,结合笔者近五年来在贵州大学从事天文学基础课程的教学经验。总结了我们在非天文学专业本科生天文学课程的教学内容、方法和改进措施,以及所取得的教学成果。     

Partially hydroxylated ultrathin iridium nanosheets as efficient electrocatalysts for water splitting

Ultrathin two-dimensional (2D) materials have attracted considerable attention for their unique physicochemical properties and promising applications; however, preparation of freestanding ultrathin 2D noble metal remains a significant challenge. Here, for the first time, we report use of a wet-chemical method to synthesize partially hydroxylated ultrathin Ir nanosheets (Ir-NSs) of only five to six atomic layers’ thickness. Detailed analysis indicates that the growth confinement effect of carbon monoxide and the partially hydroxylated surface play a critical role in formation of the ultrathin structure. The ultrathin Ir-NSs exhibit excellent performance for both the hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen evolution reaction in a wide pH range, outperforming the state-of-the-art Pt/C and IrO₂, respectively. Density-functional theory calculations reveal that the partial hydroxylation not only enhances the surface electron transfer between Ir-sites and intermediate O-species, but also guarantees efficient initial activation of bond cleavage of H-O-H for first-step H₂O splitting. This, ultimately, breaks through barriers to full water splitting, with efficient electron transfer essentially maintained.
