The impact of coworker support and stigma on breastfeeding after returning to work

This study assessed the impact of coworker support on lactating mothers’ breastfeeding self-efficacy after maternity leave. A cross-sectional survey of 1000 working adults assessed effects of perception of fairness, coworkers’ support for breastfeeding colleagues, and ick response on willingness to help mothers needing breaks to pump breastmilk at work. The study also examined how coworker support affected mothers’ self-efficacy to continue breastfeeding. One out of four coworkers showed moderate to strong stigma, saw breaks to pump breastmilk as unfair, and showed less intention to help new mothers. These results suggest that while the majority of coworkers are generally supportive, lactating women are likely to encounter disapproving coworkers who may discourage them from continuing to breastfeed. The data showed that the majority of organizations included in this study have only passively fostered mother-friendly workplaces and could do more to encourage employees to be supportive of lactating colleagues.     

公共档案馆微信公众平台服务质量影响因素研究

[目的/意义] 从用户感知的角度,构建公共档案馆微信公众平台服务质量影响因素模型,为公共档案馆服务质量优化奠定基础。[方法/过程] 通过问卷调查构建公共档案馆微信公众平台服务质量影响因素模型,使用SPSS软件,用探索性因子分析方法对假设模型进行检验,根据结果对假设模型进行修正,并对修正后的影响因素模型进行讨论。[结果/结论] 从用户感知角度全面综合分析微信公众平台上公共档案馆服务质量影响因素的构成,主要包括服务过程与系统运行、用户特征与费用、档案内容的内部特征、档案内容的外部特征和公众平台界面设计5个维度以及服务交互性等25个影响因素。     

基于知识治理的公共档案馆服务质量优化机制研究

[目的/意义] 在公共档案馆服务质量优化中引入知识治理理论,使得复杂的服务质量优化问题获得更本质的理解和更有效的解决途径,为公共档案馆服务质量和服务能力提升提供参考。[方法/过程] 以知识治理理论为支撑,对公共档案馆服务质量优化进行分析与探讨,设计公共档案馆服务质量优化机制。[结果/结论] 通过借鉴和探析知识治理机制,构建公共档案馆服务质量影响因素优化机制,主要包括优化的环境、优化的目标、优化内部动能（治理机制）、优化外部动力和优化过程五个部分。     

Factors influencing undergraduate use of e-books: A mixed methods study

Academic libraries invest millions of dollars to make electronic resources such as e-books available to students for free. However, free access might not necessarily result in students' sustained interest in and use of e-books. This interdisciplinary, mixed methods research investigates the factors influencing the intention of 279 undergraduate students to use e-books at a land-grant university in the southern US. Structural equation modeling of the survey responses suggests that organizational environment for information technology, external locus of control, subjective norm, perceived enjoyment (i.e., joyfulness), and information technology features play a significant role in influencing the intention of students to use e-books. Based on a combination of quantitative results and qualitative findings, this study identifies eight activities that libraries need to undertake in order to increase the use of e-books by undergraduate students.     

Investigating married adults’ communal coping with genetic health risk and perceived discrimination

Increased genetic testing in personalized medicine presents unique challenges for couples, including managing disease risk and potential discrimination as a couple. This study investigated couples’ conflicts and support gaps as they coped with perceived genetic discrimination. We also explored the degree to which communal coping was beneficial in reducing support gaps and ultimately stress. Dyadic analysis of married adults (N?=?266, 133 couples), in which one person had the genetic risk for serious illness, showed that perceived discrimination predicted more frequent conflicts about alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency-related treatment, privacy boundaries, and finances, which, in turn, predicted wider gaps in emotion and esteem support, and greater stress for both spouses. Communal coping predicted lower support gaps for both partners and marginally lower stress.     

中日印韩四国2011—2015年国际顶级期刊论文产出状况及国际地位对比分析

为了研究科研成果高水平论文产出状况,了解中日印韩四国近五年在国际顶级期刊(Cell、Nature、Science,CNS)论文产出以及国际地位变化,利用Web of Science统计2011—2015年中日印韩在CNS论文产出情况和国际地位变化.研究发现:我国与日本并驾齐驱,并大有赶超日本的趋势,二者约占四国论文总数的80％;印度和韩国仅占20％.国际排名则中日较为靠前,期间中国增长最为迅速,印度和韩国保持相对稳定,日本增长最低.我国2011—2015年CNS论文产出增长势头明显,相关系数呈正相关,并在2015年全面超越日本并进一步拉开差距,在四国当中首屈一指,但以后可能进入一种新常态模式,为此提出两点建议期望能保持高质量论文中高速增长.     

Solid-state intramolecular motions in continuous fibers driven by ambient humidity for fluorescent sensors

One striking feature of molecular rotors is their ability to change conformation with detectable optical signals through molecular motion when stimulated. However, due to the strong intermolecular interactions, synthetic molecular rotors have often relied on fluid environments. Here, we take advantage of the solid-state intramolecular motion of aggregation-induced emission (AIE) molecular rotors and one-dimensional fibers, developing highly sensitive optical fiber sensors that respond to ambient humidity rapidly and reversibly with observable chromatic fluorescence change. Moisture environments induce the swelling of the polymer fibers, activating intramolecular motions of AIE molecules to result in red-shifted fluorescence and linear response to ambient humidity. In this case, polymer fiber provides a process-friendly architecture and a physically tunable medium for the embedded AIE molecules to manipulate their fluorescence response characteristics. Assembly of sensor fibers could be built into hierarchical structures, which are adaptive to diverse-configuration for spatial-temporal humidity mapping, and suitable for device integration to build light-emitting sensors as well as touchless positioning interfaces for intelligence systems.
