论城乡居民收入差距

改革开放以来,我国农民收入不断增长,但相对收入在下降,尤其近年农民收入增幅连续递减,使城乡居民收入差距不断扩大,对农业经济乃至整个国民经济发展带来了一系列不利的影响.城乡居民收入差距扩大的原因是多方面的,但根本的原因是社会收入分配的不公,这与政府行为直接关联.因此,政府应采取切实可行的改革措施,进行农业大开发,增加农民收入,缩小城乡居民收入差距.     

The OPAC is Dead: Managing the Virtual Library

Changing trends in library use and management of e-resources were discussed by Jane Burke from ProQuest/Serials Solutions. A paradigm shift in library collections has occurred in which e‐resources are now the major component of new library materials, requiring new ways to manage and display them. The use of e‐resource access and management services was discussed as a helpful tool, along with federated searching. Burke suggested that by spending less time processing print materials and ending bibliographic instruction, more time will be available for librarians to market and manage e-resources, which will be of greater benefit to today's library users.     

Tracking Trends in the Future of Worthington Library

This article is a compilation of staff ideas about possible items to weave into the Worthington, Ohio, Public Library's 2010–2012 Strategic Plan. This “Trend Tracking” is accomplished in seven policy areas: (1) Early childhood literacy, (2) future role of libraries, (3) sustainability/green initiatives, (4) staff development, (5) fund-raising, (6) programming and outreach, and (7) other. Staff consulted a variety of periodicals, Web sites, and library literature to assess four elements of their suggested trend: (1) application to Worthington Libraries, (2) impact on patrons, (3) impact on staff, and (4) relevant Web site or bibliographic links that served as the source or enrichment of the suggestion. This article provides library professionals with a rare opportunity to observe the internal thinking of a library workgroup other than their own.     

Downloads or Outcomes?: Measuring and Communicating the Contributions of Library Resources to Faculty and Student Success

How can libraries proactively demonstrate, quantitatively and qualitatively, return on investment in an academic environment that is increasingly concerned with tangible results? As speaker for Mississippi State University Libraries' 9th MidSouth eResource Symposium, Dr. Rachel Fleming-May, Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee's School of Information Sciences, articulated the need for libraries to communicate their true value and indispensability to campus communities, particularly through the measurement of electronic resource usage. The concept of “use,” however, is complex and must be fully understood for meaningful incorporation into assessment measures. A brief summary of this session, also authored by Amanda Price, appeared in the “E-Resource Roundup” column of the Journal of Electronic Resources Librarianship, Volume 23, Issue 1 (2011: March).
