Under the new four-year undergraduate programme, a general education framework titled ‘General University Requirements’ (GUR) has been developed and implemented since 2012/2013 at Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). To evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of the GUR in its first year, focus group interviews with students were carried out. In 13 focus groups, 62 first-year students from eight faculties/schools who took GUR subjects in 2012/2013 academic year were interviewed by trained researchers. Results showed that students generally had good perceptions of the GUR in terms of the subject content, teaching methods and the overall effectiveness of the subjects. The interactive teaching and learning initiatives adopted in GUR subjects were particularly appreciated, although students expressed minor concerns on the administration of GUR subjects. The results suggest that the first-year implementation of the GUR at PolyU was generally smooth and successful from the perspectives of the students.  相似文献

The modernization theory contends that there is a link between education and democracy. Yet few empirical studies have been done to investigate the role of higher education on promoting democratic values in the Chinese context. Using China General Social Survey 2006, this paper generates several findings which are not completely consistent with the existing theoretical explanations on political development. Specifically, the college-educated Chinese citizens not only agree that there is need to improve democracy, but support various types of political participation and resist the government-oriented petitioning. However, though entrepreneurial elites (private business owners) and political elites (Chinese communist party members) demonstrate preference to democracy in principle, empirical evidence suggests that they are much less likely to support political participation that challenges the authoritarian regime in China compared to knowledge-based elites (college-educated adults).  相似文献

3D技术是虚拟现实、实时仿真和交互三维设计结合产生的关键技术,包括3D显示技术、3D虚拟现实技术和3D打印技术。目前3D技术已成为桌面技术(3D显示技术和3D虚拟现实技术为桌面显示技术,3D打印技术为桌面制造技术),正逐渐在知识创新、深度学习、虚拟实验、技能训练等方面彰显优势,为教育应用创新提供新环境、新平台、新资源、新工具和新范式。然而由于产品价格较为昂贵,后续的保养、管理及维修等费用也较高,3D技术教育应用在顶层设计、技术支持、教育资源、测评标准、应用领域、人才培养等方面仍面临较多困难。3D技术教育应用是一个教育生态系统,是依托3D技术、资源、工具、平台、产品、人才和课程,构建教学资源、教学媒体和教学产品的设计、开发、运用、管理和评价的教育系统,需要进行理论、技术与应用的协同推进,从生态发展、产业推进、深度融合视角开展研究。在落实《教育信息化十年发展规划(2011-2020年)》之际,应将"3D技术教育应用创新"作为技术与教育"深度融合"的重要途径,构建3D教育应用生态系统环境,促进教学方式与学习方式变革,以此应对第三次工业革命带来的机遇和挑战。  相似文献

Aerospace milestones in human history, including returning to the moon and manned Martian missions, have been implemented in recent years. Space exploration has become one of the global common goals, and to ensure the survival and development of human beings in the extraterrestrial extreme environment has been becoming the basic ability and technology of manned space exploration. For the purpose of fulfilling the goal of extraterrestrial survival, researchers in Nanjing University and the China Academy of Space Technology proposed extraterrestrial artificial photosynthesis (EAP) technology. By simulating the natural photosynthesis of green plants on the Earth, EAP converts CO2/H2O into fuel and O2 in an in-situ, accelerated and controllable manner by using waste CO2 in the confined space of spacecraft, or abundant CO2 resources in extraterrestrial celestial environments, e.g. Mars. Thus, the material loading of manned spacecraft can be greatly reduced to support affordable and sustainable deep space exploration. In this paper, EAP technology is compared with existing methods of converting CO2/H2O into fuel and O2 in the aerospace field, especially the Sabatier method and Bosch reduction method. The research progress of possible EAP materials for in-situ utilization of extraterrestrial resources are also discussed in depth. Finally, this review lists the challenges that the EAP process may encounter, which need to be focused on for future implementation and application. We expect to deepen the understanding of artificial photosynthetic materials and technologies, and aim to strongly support the development of manned spaceflight.  相似文献
