体操运动员某些生物学特征的研究

通过对１９９６年全国冠军赛和２０００年奥运会集训的２１４名优秀体操运动员血尿素、血乳酸、血红蛋白、尿肌酐、皮褶厚度等指标的测试,了解到体操运动员的某些生理学特征。结果表明：体操运动员的蛋白质代谢水平高,磷酸原系统供能在体操运动中占极重要因素。生物学指标的测试为体操运动员选材和训练提供了科学依据。     

Classroom-based Interventions and Teachers' Perceived Job Stressors and Confidence: Evidence from a Randomized Trial in Head Start Settings

Preschool teachers' job stressors have received increasing attention but have been understudied in the literature. We investigated the impacts of a classroom-based intervention, the Chicago School Readiness Project (CSRP), on teachers' perceived job stressors and confidence, as indexed by their perceptions of job control, job resources, job demands, and confidence in behavior management. Using a clustered randomized controlled trial (RCT) design, the CSRP provided multifaceted services to the treatment group, including teacher training and mental health consultation, which were accompanied by stress-reduction services and workshops. Overall, 90 teachers in 35 classrooms at 18 Head Start sites participated in the study. After adjusting for teacher and classroom factors and site fixed effects, we found that the CSRP had significant effects on the improvement of teachers' perceived job control and work-related resources. We also found that the CSRP decreased teachers' confidence in behavior management and had no statistically significant effects on job demands. Overall, we did not find significant moderation effects of teacher race/ethnicity, education, teaching experience, or teacher type. The implications for research and policy are discussed.     

闭式循环太阳能吸附式制冷系统实验研究

设计了一套闭式循环太阳能吸附式制冷系统,该系统主要包括150m^2的真空管太阳能集热器、2台额定容量为15kW的吸附式制冷机组、1台冷却塔、风机盘管以及循环水泵.实验表明：由于水容量较小,系统的运行过程呈现出波动特性;由于进入太阳能集热器阵列的水直接来自吸附式制冷机组,太阳能集热器阵列的进出口水温周期性地振荡;此外,吸附式制冷机组的进口水温波动明显.然而,系统的制冷性能达到令人满意的效果.与开式循环系统相比,闭式循环系统由于减少了循环水泵的数量具有高电力COP的优势.     

A potential way of enquiry into human curiosity

A powerful search for ‘curiosity’ or its related topics at the online American Psychological Association PsycNET database will produce comparatively disappointing meagreness of resource. This reflects our scanty knowledge in this field though curiosity is widely recognised as one of the most important factors that contribute to motivation and effectiveness in education and scientific discovery. Lack of understanding in curiosity may be due partly to limitation of research methodology and technology. This paper suggests using Google Trends as a tool for the study of curiosity and its measurement. The observation based on this tool discusses external stimuli, accessible resource and surprisingness that are closely related to curiosity.

Epigenetic regulation of adipocyte differentiation and adipogenesis

It is generally agreed that adipocytes originate from mesenchymal stem cells in what can be divided into two processes: determination and differentiation. In the past decade, many factors associated with epigenetic signals have been proved to be pivotal for the appropriate timing of adipogenesis progression. A large number of coregulators at critical gene promoters set up specific patterns of DNA methylation, histone acetylation and methylation, and nucleosome rearrangement, that act as an epigenetic code to modulate the correct progress of adipocyte differentiation and adipogenesis during adipogenesis. In this review, we focus on the functions and roles of epigenetic processes in preadipocyte differentiation and adipogenesis.
