Current study is conducted to evaluate method verification of two locally available kits manufactured by DSI & BIORAD for quantitative estimation of Hepatitis B virus antibodies in human normal immunoglobulin by using International standard of National Institute of Biological Standards and Control. Four analyst perform five sets of test in duplicate analysing accuracy, precision, and limit of detection, sensitivity and specificity. Our results suggest that both DSI and BIORAD kits fulfil the validation criteria and are sensitive to detect up to 10 mIU concentration precisely and accurately. DSI kit is more precise at concentration 100 mIU and economically 4–5 times cheaper in local market; on the other hand, BIORAD kits provide larger detection range up to 1000 mIU. 相似文献

Research on the role of teachers in supporting students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in schools in the Republic of Ireland has largely focused on primary and special schools rather than secondary school settings. This study examined the theoretical and practical knowledge base of Irish secondary teachers regarding the inclusion of learners with ASD using an ecological critical discursive perspective. Findings revealed teachers’ strong desires to include students with ASD in their classrooms. Teachers’ discourses exposed their sense of low self-efficacy in relation to pedagogical skills required to meet the needs of learners with ASD. At a school level, teachers positioned themselves outside the dominant school discourse on special education needs. Using critical discourse analysis (CDA), teachers’ narratives re-focus the spotlight on issues such as ineffective legislation and inadequate policies at national level, and identified the impact that these have at a micro-analytical level on teachers’ practices in relation to inclusion. 相似文献

Pluto is a celestial object that had caught the imagination of increasingly ‘sky-aware’ people all around the world, perhaps
due to the inspiring story of its discovery by a young amateur astronomer. It was celebrated as the ninth planet of the solar
system for decades. A question mark hung over its nomenclature as a planet from the time of the discovery of its moon Charon,
when a good estimate of its very small mass in comparison with other planets was obtained. The discovery of UB 313, a body
in the outer regions of the solar system that was more massive than Pluto, magnified this question mark and compelled the
International Astronomical Union to review the definition of the word ‘Planet’. A new and physical definition was given to
this word and Pluto was categorized as a dwarf planet. The beauty of this physical definition of a planet is something that
would definitely have been appreciated by Clyde Tombaugh — who once made this beautifully simple statement about Pluto, while
its status was being questioned — “It is there, whatever it is”. Yes, whatever it is, Pluto is one celestial object that is
somehow very endearing to everyone around the world and is also an object whose studies are compelling certain paradigm shifts
in our understanding of the structure and evolution of the solar system.
N Rathnasree is the Director, Nehru Planetarium, New Delhi. She is deeply interested in archeo-astronomical field work related
to the history of astronomy in India. She is currently working towards a complete observational calibration of the masonry
astronomical instruments of the Jantar Mantar observatories at Delhi and Jaipur.
Anurag Garg is working as Educator at the Nehru Planetarium New Delhi. He has a very keen interest in observational astronomy

Total cholesterol, total bilirubin, calcium, oxalate, inorganic phosphate, magnesium, iron, copper, sodium and potassium were
analyzed quantitatively in gallstones, bile of gall bladder and sera of 200 patients of cholelithiasis (52 cholesterol, 76
mixed and 72 pigment stone patients) and their contents were correlated between calculi and bile and sera and bile in these
three type of stone patients. A significant positive correlation was observed between total cholesterol, total bilirubin of
calculi and bile, copper of bile and sera of cholesterol stone patients, copper of calculi and bile, total bilirubin, oxalate,
magnesium, potassium of sera and bile of pigment stone patients and oxalate and iron of stone and bile, total bilirubin, oxalate,
sodium of sera and bile of mixed stone patients. A significant negative correlation was found between magnesium of serum and
bile of cholesterol stone patients, oxalate of calculi and bile of pigment stone patients and magnesium of serum and bile

Alloxan administration in male Swiss albino mice, induced diabetes by increasing blood glucose concentration and reducing
hepatic glycogen content as compared to normal control group. Besides, serum lipid profile parameters such as total-cholesterol,
triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein and very low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol were also elevated, whereas, the level
of high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol was reduced significantly (P<0.05) in diabetic mice. Treatment of diabetic animals
with crude ethanolic extract of bark of Prosopis cineraria (P. cineraria) for 45 days, significantly lowered blood glucose
level, elevated hepatic glycogen content and maintained body weight and lipid-profile parameters towards near normal range.
Declined activity of antioxidant enzymes and concentration of non-enzymatic antioxidants were also normalized by drug treatment,
thereby reducing the oxidative damage in the tissues of diabetic animals and hence indicating the anti-diabetic and antioxidant

Twenty years after UNESCO's Salamanca Statement enshrined international action for provision for children, youth and adults with special educational needs within the regular educational system, this article presents the current underpinning international and national UK context for developing inclusion in vocational education and training and workplace settings. This context is explored through the justification for developing an EU‐funded project entitled ‘Towards Inclusive Learning Environments (TILE)’ and the creation of an associated audit tool, the ′Roadmap for Inclusion′, by a partnership group consisting of universities and VET settings from Finland, the Czech Republic, Estonia and England. 相似文献
