独立学院英语专业实践教学研究报告——以华中科技大学武昌分校为例

独立学院英语专业的实践教学模式和开展效果,对英语专业优势的突显和在激烈竞争中获得长久生存及发展起到至关重要的作用。本文以华中科技大学武昌分校为例,从英语专业的实践课程的教学模式、教学中存在的问题和对策,以及教学效果等方面展开讨论和研究,旨在进一步完善专业建设、优化专业课程体系、实现人才培养目标,最终将实践教学作为评估英语专业本科教学工作水平的一项重要指标。     

Medical Library Association Diversity and Inclusion Task Force Report

The Medical Library Association (MLA) appointed a Diversity and Inclusion Task Force (DITF) in 2017. Sandra G. Franklin, AHIP, FMLA, chaired the task force and guided initiatives. From 2017 to 2020, the task force completed a review of MLA defining documents—including the mission, vision, values, and code of ethics—resulting in language updates to these documents. As MLA transitioned through the communities process, the DITF contributed to the transition. Other recommended essential changes to MLA profiles to promote awareness included updating pronouns to promote gender inclusivity and suggestions for the Annual Meeting Innovation Task Force. DITF members actively brought diversity and inclusion programming and engagement to MLA members at annual meetings. The task force held a fish bowl conversation, an open forum, and a Diversity Dialogues roundtable discussion; provided interactive discussion boards; and designed an MLA diversity button. Beyond MLA annual meetings, the task force hosted two critical librarianship meetings and a Twitter chat to engage MLA members with diversity and inclusion topics. Task force members promoted diversity and inclusion beyond their task force appointments with presentations at chapter meetings and other non-DITF MLA annual meeting programming. A notable task force accomplishment included completing a survey of MLA members to gather baseline demographic characteristics, including never before collected data about disability, socioeconomics, and caregiver status. This report provides an overview of DITF activities from 2017 to 2020.     

Toward intelligent manufacturing： label characters marking and recognition method for steel products with machine vision

Correctly coding materials and identifying characters marked on materials are very important for steel manufacturing industry to realize informatization management and intelligent manufacturing. However, the steel products manufacturing is often in a high temperature environment, and there are a lot of material storage and retrieval processes, workers are not easily close to the environment and complete tasks, so it is a great challenge to automatically mark and identify characters on the steel products. This paper presents a framework of label characters marking and management for steel materials, furthermore, a kind of marked characters online detection and tracking method has been provided based on machine vision. In addition, some experiments have been done in BaoSteel to mark characters on hot billets and recognize them in multi situations, and the results show that the proposed method is practical, and has provided a helpful exploration in obtaining accurate fundamental data for the intelligent manufacturing system in steelworks.     

C2C视角下馆外图书流通服务研究与实践

[目的/意义] 图书流通服务是图书馆的基础工作之一,随着数字化阅读的发展,纸质图书借阅量逐年下降,同时受限于场地、资金问题,图书复本数减少,导致图书流通过程中读者体验感降低。本研究旨在通过简化图书流通过程中的部分环节,缩短读者借阅的等待时间,提高图书流通率。[方法/过程] 在调研国内外相关研究与实践的基础上,提出C2C（Consumer to Consumer）视角下馆外图书流通服务,通过该服务读者间可以不通过图书馆的流通系统和工作人员,在实体图书馆之外完成图书的转借。本研究从具体实践出发,并结合问卷调查,了解该服务存在的问题并提出相应解决措施。[结果/结论] 实践表明,C2C视角下馆外图书流通服务减少了传统图书流通过程中"一还一借"流程,尤其是在馆藏资源复本有限的情况下,能节约读者时间,提高读者阅读意愿和满意度,同时可以盘活馆藏资源,提高图书流通率。在一定程度上推动了图书流通服务创新和图书流通服务模式变革。     

基于OpenBTS和Asterisk的移动通信实验系统设计与实现

为了满足通信工程专业移动通信实验教学的需要,提出了基于OpenBTS和Asterisk的移动通信实验系统。该实验系统不但能完成基于移动通信的基本通话和信令的分析,而且能使学生方便地进行二次开发,实现移动通信的智能业务。经过测试,该实验系统相比目前已有的系统具有价格低廉、操作灵活简单、可扩展性好、方便部署等优点,为学生学习移动通信架构和原理起到了重要的作用。

Strategically aligning a mandala of competencies to advance a transformative vision

Objective:

This paper offers insight into the processes that have shaped the Eskind Biomedical Library''s (EBL''s) strategic direction and its alignment to the institution''s transformative vision.

Setting:

The academic biomedical library has a notable track record for developing and pioneering roles for information professionals focused on a sophisticated level of information provision that draws from and fuels practice evolutions.

Strategy:

The medical center''s overall transformative vision informs the creation of a fully aligned library strategic plan designed to effectively contribute to the execution of key organizational goals. Annual goals reflect organizational priorities and contain quantifiable and measurable deliverables. Two strategic themes, facilitating genetic literacy and preserving community history, are described in detail to illustrate the concept of goal setting.

Conclusion:

The strategic planning model reflects EBL''s adaptation to the ever-changing needs of its organization. The paper provides a characterization of a workable model that can be replicated by other institutions.     

在普通高中生物教学中开展职业教育

在普通高中生物教学中开展职业教育,不仅可以激发学生的学习兴趣,而且可以帮助学生树立正确的职业观。本文探讨了在普通高中开展职业教育的必要性、策略以及注意事项,以期为普通高中生物教学改革提供参考。     

Maternal Leptin,Adiponectin, Resistin,Visfatin and Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha in Normal and Gestational Diabetes

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a common medical complication associated with pregnancy. The present study evaluates the changes in maternal adipocytokines (leptin, adiponectin, resistin, visfatin and tumor necrosis factor-alpha; TNF-α) in pregnancy complicated with GDM compared to normal pregnancy at 2nd and 3rd trimesters. The study included total number of 142 pregnant women classified into 4 groups: normal pregnancy (n = 33) and pregnancy with GDM (n = 24) both at 2nd trimester and normal pregnancy (n = 38) and GDM (n = 47) at 3rd trimester. Both GDM groups were significantly presented with elevated body mass index, fasting blood sugar and abnormal oral glucose tolerance test compared to their matched control. Results indicated reduction in maternal serum leptin and adiponectin in GDM compared to normal pregnancy at 3rd trimester. Elevated resistin and TNF-α were evident among pregnancy complicated with GDM at both tested trimesters. On the other hand, significant elevation in maternal visfatin was noted between GDM and matched control at 2nd trimester only. Significant increase in maternal leptin and visfatin and resistin was noted by advances in gestational period in healthy pregnancy. On the other hand, reduced adiponectin and elevated visfatin mean values were noticed in GDM at 3rd compared to 2nd trimester. It could be concluded that increased insulin resistance accompanies GDM is associated with suppressed leptin and adiponectin and increased resistin and TNF-α which might suggest their involvement in the development of GDM.
