The Home Environment and Asian Immigrant Children’s Early Literacy Skills

Objective. The current study examines how aspects of the home literacy environment were related to Asian immigrant children’s early literacy skills. Design. One hundred and thirty-nine Asian immigrant families and their children (69 girls; mean age = 62.93 months; standard deviation = 3.82) were recruited from kindergarten classrooms at seven public elementary schools in Honolulu, Hawai?i. Trained research assistants assessed children’s early literacy skills in English at the beginning (T1) and end of kindergarten (T2). Parents (16% fathers; 84% mothers) rated their involvement in literacy-related activities in English and in their native language at T1, and classroom teachers rated children’s interest in literacy at T2. Results. Our results showed that parents’ literacy activities in English at T1 were positively related to children’s English literacy skills at T1. Parents’ literacy activities in English and in their native language at T1 were both related to children’s interest in literacy at T2, which in turn was associated with children’s English oral language skills at T2. Conclusion. These findings highlight the importance of examining the languages immigrant parents use during literacy-related activities.

Students’ conceptions of and approaches to knowledge building and its relationship to learning outcomes

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships among students’ conceptions of knowledge building, approaches to knowledge building, knowledge-building behaviors and learning outcomes. A total of 48 primary school students (from grades 3 and 4) who had experienced knowledge-building activities participated in the present study. After analyzing the students’ interview responses using the phenomenographic method, qualitatively different and hierarchically related conceptions and approaches were revealed. The results indicated that the students with fragmented conceptions tended to use surface approaches to knowledge building while those with cohesive conceptions tended to adopt deep approaches. The findings also indicate that the students with cohesive conceptions or deep approaches were more likely to have better learning outcomes than those with fragmented conceptions or surface approaches.

行进间分神识记对动作完成的影响

为探讨行进间分神对运动动作的影响, 本文以自制全身反应时间测试仪测试被试的视（听） － 动全身反应时间和踏地时间。以光电速示器在被试身体运动行进间, 同步呈现１／１０ ｓ的识记数字,要求记忆。然后比较跳跃８０ ｃｍ 插入分神识记内容的反应时间较一般跳跃的变化。结果,跳进中加入分神识内容的反应时间、踏跳时间、准确性都受到显著性影响。另外, 也验证了运动中识记较安静时识记效果大减。     

水稻线粒体DNA的分离纯化及其脉冲电泳分析

为了水稻线粒体基因文库的构建和细胞质雄性不育分子机制的研究,用简化的方法提纯了水稻线粒体DNA,限制性内切酶酶切图谱显示了清晰的带型。HindⅢ酶切产生37条带,Xho酶切产生30条带,该方法重复性好。同时用新技术——脉冲电泳,测定了水稻线粒体DNA的分了量,并就其作为一种新手段,在植物线粒体DNA的异质性、结构和分子大小等方面的研究所具有的优越性进行了讨论。

发达国家资历框架的建设取得了显著的成就,具体表现在架起了职业教育人才培养制度与企业聘用制度之间的桥梁,畅通了技术技能型人才的上升通道;进一步完善了职业教育人才培养体系;有力地推动了职业教育的课程改革和产教融合。总结发达国家资历框架建设的先进经验,可归纳为:基于学习成果导向构建资历框架标准体系、彰显证书整合功能、吸引多元利益相关者参与、注重职业资格与学历资格等值沟通。我国应借鉴发达国家建设经验,建立以学习成果为导向的综合性资格框架标准体系,推进多元主体参与的国家资格框架组织建设,完善非正规与非正式学习认证制度,构建普职等值机制。
