An L2 learner’s pragmatic competence is an inseparable part of his communicative competence.Large quantities of aspects of pragmatic competence are teachable.Classroom is the place where an L2 learner’s pragmatic competence can be developed.Though classroom instruction has some negative effect,efforts could be done to arrange relevant awareness-raising and communication-practice activities.     

Analysis of Higher Tourism and Hospitality Education in China

Tourism education plays an important role in supporting tourism development and providing qualified employees to meet the great demands in China. A lack of high quality educators and employees is a common concern of Chinese tourism and hospitality education. The role of higher tourism and hospitality education has become more and more important for Chinese tourism and hospitality education. The purpose of this study was to analyze the situation of Chinese higher tourism and hospitality education and to identify the constraints and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of it.The results suggest three main existing problems of current Chinese higher tourism and hospitality education: lack of practical training occurred both in teaching activity and the quality of teachers; poor curriculum design particularly the unbalance of theory and practice; and teachers require further study especially practical training and work experience.

情感过滤因素在外语学习中的作用

利用Krashen和Bialystok的相关理论,分析情感因素对可理解性输入和输出的作用:在输入过程中,由于学习者的个体差异,个体情感在不同程度上对可理解输入进行过滤,造成了个体学习效果各异;在输出过程中,由于学习者语言学习装置中显性知识和隐性知识的性质不同,情感因素对它们主导的输出也具有不同的过滤作用。最后,在上述分析的基础上进一步分析教学中如何降低情感过滤负效应。

An Analysis of Foreign Language Learning Styles from the Cognitive Perspective

From the 1970s,learning styles began to enter the domain of foreign language learning researches.Foreign language learning style is often regarded as a significant factor attributing to individual differences among language learners.Nowadays,many researchers begin studying individual learners’characteristics and exploring how different learners interact with external factors from cognitive perspective.The field-independence/dependence construct became a focus.Based on previous studies,the paper is committed to analyzing the nature of FID learners.It is expected that this research can establish a well-grounded basis for following studies.
