Interaction of the originality of peers’ ideas and students’ openness to experience in predicting creativity in online collaborative groups

There has been growing interest in the possibility that peers’ ideas can stimulate students’ creativity in group contexts. However, empirical research on this issue is limited. This study tested the hypothesis that peers’ ideas and students’ openness to experience would predict student creativity and attention to peers’ ideas. Undergraduate students (n = 60) completed creative tasks in an online collaborative group in which the ideas of “peers” were pre-programmed. Mixed ANOVAs showed support for the hypothesis. Specifically, students with higher (but not lower) openness, when exposed to a high (but not low) rate of peers’ original ideas, paid greater attention to those ideas and were more creative. The implication for education is that teachers should encourage students to share more of their original ideas and to pay more attention to peers’ ideas in online collaborative groups.     

关于民亦高校固定资产管理的几点思考

民办高校的固定资产是提高教育教学质量和科研水平的重要物质基础。如何管好、用好固定资产，保证教学、科研以及各项工作的顺利进行，防止固定资产浪费和流失，不断提高其使用效益，都有着十分重要的意义。本文就目前固定资产管理工作中遇到的问题进行了分析，并提出了解决这些问题的一些经验体会。     

Teachers’ attitudes towards tracking: testing the socialization hypothesis

The paper examines how teachers’ attitudes towards tracking (separating pupils into groups with different curricula on the basis of their abilities and results) differ among various generations of teachers. Fundamental and quick changes in the educational system occurred in the Czech Republic after the Velvet Revolution in 1989 as a unified educational system moved to a system strongly accenting tracking practices. We use this ‘policy discontinuity’ to validate teacher socialization theory and test three alternative socialization hypotheses based on different key periods in teachers’ development: the pupil experience hypothesis, the pedagogical preparation hypothesis and the pedagogical experience hypothesis. We work with a data-set from 2009 covering 1002 Czech teachers. The mean tests and the logistic regression analysis support the socialization theory, however only the pedagogical experience hypothesis was found to be most influential.

An intelligent electronic capsule system for automated detection of gastrointestinal bleeding

In clinical practice, examination of the hemorrhagic spot (HS) remains difficult. In this paper, we describe a remote controlled capsule (RCC) micro-system with an automated, color-based sensor to identify and localize the HS of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. In vitro testing of the detecting sensor demonstrated that it was capable of discriminating mimetic intestinal fluid (MIF) with and without the hemoglobin (Hb) when the concentration of Hb in MIF was above 0.05 g/ml. Therefore, this RCC system is able to detect the relatively accurate location of the HS in the GI tract.

幼儿教师课程理解的差异是导致当前幼儿园新课程实施不理想的一个重要因素.从社会文化建构的视角探究影响幼儿教师课程理解的深层原因,可以发现不仅幼儿教师自身的认知会对其课程理解产生影响,而且文化、制度、专业和资源的支持等也是影响幼儿教师课程理解的重要因素.幼儿教师的课程理解是教师自身在与文化、制度、专业和资源支持的互动过程中建构而成的.     

浅谈电子档案信息安全管理

电子档案是由数字电子计算机处理的档案。一般而言,电子档案是由电子文件转化而来的,只有具有归档保存、备查、凭证作用的这一部分电子文件,才构成电子档案。目前电子文件所采用的介质主要有磁盘、磁带和光盘。电子dangan归档主要用磁带和光盘。电子档案是将实体档案信息以字节、比特方式表示并使之在电脑网络上流动,只有引入正确的软件、硬件与足够的背景细节。
