我国“择校”现象的教育社会学阐释

义务教育阶段的择校问题不仅是社会各界反映强烈的热点问题,而且是影响义务教育公平性和均衡性的难点问题。教育社会学关注教育获得与社会分层的关系,运用教育选择功能理论、阶层优势与社会选择理论、教育成层理论对择校问题进行分析,可以使人们明确其产生的深层原因。要规范择校行为,使其成为促进义务教育公平、推动教育均衡发展的有力举措,政府必须加大实施义务教育均衡化的力度,改革现行择校制度,同时要大力发展多种类型的中学教育,为人的成才提供多种渠道。     

Improving graduate education to support a branching career pipeline: recommendations based on a survey of doctoral students in the basic biomedical sciences

Today's doctoral programs continue to prepare students for a traditional academic career path despite the inadequate supply of research-focused faculty positions. We advocate for a broader doctoral curriculum that prepares trainees for a wide range of science-related career paths. In support of this argument, we describe data from our survey of doctoral students in the basic biomedical sciences at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Midway through graduate training, UCSF students are already considering a broad range of career options, with one-third intending to pursue a non-research career path. To better support this branching career pipeline, we recommend that national standards for training and mentoring include emphasis on career planning and professional skills development to ensure the success of PhD-level scientists as they contribute to a broadly defined global scientific enterprise.

数据挖掘拥有悠久的历史,它可以追溯到探索性数据分析(Tukey, 1977),且目前已经形成了有效的、可推广的方法.本文将讨论教育数据挖掘研究与实践中逐渐兴起的一些工具,以及在更广泛的层面上数据挖掘和数据科学研究者所使用的相关工具,近40种教育领域数据挖掘与分析的常用工具,包括数据处理与特征工程工具、算法分析工具、可视化效果工具,以及EDM和LA的特殊应用,如贝叶斯知识跟踪工具、文本挖掘、社会网络分析、过程与序列挖掘、PSLC服务站等.本文将为初次接触这一领域的研究者提供有用的信息,以帮助他们找到有用的工具.     

新疆普通高校体育教学现状调查

采用问卷调查法等对新疆普通高校体育教学模式、教学大纲、课程设置、教师队伍、教材使用、体质健康标准的实施现状等进行调查。调查显示,教师专业结构不合理,教学与科研不能协调发展,体育教师的待遇与工作负荷不成正比。具有地方特色、民族特色、学校特色的体育教改新思路在新疆普通高校逐渐兴起。建议:加强对体育教师的专业培训;在教学中注重培养学生终身体育观念,培养学生积极健身意识;要充分体现民族体育和现代体育的有机结合,开展具有少数民族体育特色的教学活动。     

Neuromuscular control and running economy is preserved in elite international triathletes after cycling

Running is the most important discipline for Olympic triathlon success. However, cycling impairs running muscle recruitment and performance in some highly trained triathletes; though it is not known if this occurs in elite international triathletes. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of cycling in two different protocols on running economy and neuromuscular control in elite international triathletes. Muscle recruitment and sagittal plane joint angles of the left lower extremity and running economy were compared between control (no preceding cycle) and transition (preceded by cycling) runs for two different cycle protocols (20-minute low-intensity and 50-minute high-intensity cycles) in seven elite international triathletes. Muscle recruitment and joint angles were not different between control and transition runs for either cycle protocols. Running economy was also not different between control and transition runs for the low-intensity (62.4 +/- 4.5 vs. 62.1 +/- 4.0 ml/min/kg, p > 0.05) and high-intensity (63.4 +/- 3.5 vs. 63.3 +/- 4.3 ml/min/kg, p > 0.05) cycle protocols. The results of this study demonstrate that both low- and high-intensity cycles do not adversely influence neuromuscular control and running economy in elite international triathletes.
