清末蒙古族现代高等教育之滥觞

清末内忧外患的清廷被迫改变治蒙政策,使得长期处于封闭状态的蒙地得以解禁,与内地同步开始向现代转型。在清末新政的教育改革过程中,在满清朝廷、蒙地官吏以及各部蒙古王公的共同努力下,蒙古民族教育也开始由传统走向现代。清末新政中创办的满蒙文高等学堂是西学东渐的产物,是蒙古民族第一个具有现代高等教育性质的综合性高等院校;同期举办的陆军贵胄学堂与贵胄法政学堂由部门举办,开启了蒙古民族专科高等教育的帷幕;而殖边学堂则是由在京蒙古王公发起和组织的一种公办官助性质的高等学校,是速成边政人才培养模式的有益探索。这三类高等教育机构的诞生标志着蒙古族现代高等教育的滥觞。     

The relationship between peak height velocity and physical performance in youth soccer players

Longitudinal changes in height, weight and physical performance were studied in 33 Flemish male youth soccer players from the Ghent Youth Soccer Project. The players' ages at the start of the study ranged from 10.4 to 13.7 years, with a mean age of 12.2 +/- 0.7 years. Longitudinal changes were studied over a 5 year period. Peak height velocity and peak weight velocity were determined using non-smoothed polynomials. The estimations of peak height velocity, peak weight velocity and age at peak height velocity were 9.7 +/- 1.5 cm x year-1, 8.4 +/- 3.0 kg x year-1 and 13.8 +/- 0.8 years, respectively. Peak weight velocity occurred, on average, at the same age as peak height velocity. Balance, speed of limb movement, trunk strength, upper-body muscular endurance, explosive strength, running speed and agility, cardiorespiratory endurance and anaerobic capacity showed peak development at peak height velocity. A plateau in the velocity curves was observed after peak height velocity for upper-body muscular endurance, explosive strength and running speed. Flexibility exhibited peak development during the tear after peak height velocity. Trainers and coaches should be aware of the individual characteristics of the adolescent growth spurt and the training load should also be individualized at this time.     

Teachers' perspectives on the challenges of teaching physical education in urban schools: the student emotional filter

The purpose of this study was to analyze how the challenges of urban schools influence physical education teachers' emotional understanding and connections with their students and the implications on their teaching. Sixty-one elementary physical educators from an urban school district in the midwestern U.S. were interviewed multiple times (N = 136) over 3 years using interpretive methodology. Teachers reported five unique challenges that significantly shaped their thinking about students and their careers, along with strategies they used to overcome or manage those challenges. The challenges were: (a) insufficient instructional resources, (b) implementing culturally relevant pedagogy, (c) dealing with community violence, (d) integrating more games in curricula, and (e) teaching in a culture of basketball. Implications centered on the guilt-inducing nature of urban teaching, developing an informed and realistic vision of urban physical education, and the role of teacher preparation and professional development.     

The angiogenetic effect of intramuscular administration of b-FGF and a-FGF on cardiac muscle: the influence of exercise on muscle angiogenesis

Although angiogenetic therapy using recombinant growth factors holds much hope for the treatment of ischaemic diseases, there are still many unanswered questions, including the method of administration, the correct dose of these factors, and the duration of the therapeutic approach. Exercise has also been suggested to induce neovascularizaiton in muscles. We evaluated the angiogenetic effects of the intramuscular administration of basic-fibroblast growth factor (b-FGF) and acidic-fibroblast growth factor (a-FGF) in rat heart, compared with rats who exercised daily. In conclusion, both the intramuscular administration of b-FGF and exercise increased significantly angiogenesis in the heart in contrast to the intramuscular administration of a-FGF, which was ineffective.     

Special populations: the female player and the youth player

Females and youth are frequently described as "special" populations in football literature, but together these two populations outnumber male players. What makes females "special" is that they tend to eat less when training and competing than their male counterparts, leading to lower intakes of energy, carbohydrate, and some nutrients. Youth football players are special in regard to energy and nutrient requirements to promote growth and development, as well as to fuel sport. There is limited research on the dietary habits of these two populations, but the available literature suggests that many female and youth players need to increase carbohydrate intake, increase fluid intake, and develop dietary habits to sustain the demands of training and competition.     

The relationship between shoulder alignment and elbow joint angle in cricket fast-medium bowlers

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between shoulder alignment and elbow angle during the delivery action of fast-medium bowlers. The elbow and upper trunk alignment were recorded for 13 high-performance bowlers (mean age 20 years) using a 12-camera Vicon motion analysis system operating at 250 Hz. The three highest velocity trials for "good" and "short" length deliveries were analysed. Results showed that bowlers with a more front-on shoulder alignment at back-foot impact and when the upper arm was horizontal to the ground experienced a significantly greater elbow flexion--extension range when compared with those who had a more side-on orientation at the same point in the delivery action. Bowlers with greater shoulder counter-rotation also recorded higher elbow flexion and subsequently extension during the period from upper arm horizontal to ball release. Shoulder alignment and elbow angles were similar for "short" and "good" length deliveries. It was concluded that bowlers with a more front-on shoulder orientation at back-foot impact demonstrated a higher elbow extension from upper arm horizontal to ball release and are therefore more likely to infringe International Cricket Council elbow tolerance levels, compared with those who adopt a more side-on shoulder orientation at back-foot impact.

教师与学生关系的性质对学生自觉性和自尊心的形成有极重要的意义.教育工作的实际经验指出,假定教师能对个别学生表扬他的任何积极方面,那末,学生就能开始注意并培养自已的这些优点. 在很多情况中,学生对自己力量没有自信心的原因,就是在教师方面对他们的能力估计不足。这个事实指出了教师与学生建立的关系上所产生的感化作用是多麽巨大,它不仅能够破坏个别学生,而且还能破坏全级学生对自己力量的信任.女教师纳·克,为了对自己的工作做得不好作辩护,经常向学生们说,他们没有能力,总是不肯好好学习等话。结果,学生们本来能够学习得很好的,丧失了自信心,这样,他们就学习得更坏,成为学校里成绩最坏的一班。这就是说:女教师纳·克只看见了学生的弱点。但是在某一时期内,这个女教师的位置上派来了另一位新教师,她很有经验而且也富有钻研心.最初几天,她注意了学生思想上已有的习惯,和他们一班所以在“学校中最坏”的原因。她就在班上开始培养学生对自己力量的自信心.她从思想上去影响学生,告诉他们,如果能够坚持和系统地工作,便会学习得很好.女教师与学生们的新的关系和正确地组织教学工作,获得了非常良好的成绩.学生们对待自己也不同了,他们信任了自己的力量,对未来的发展前途表现了无限向往.这一班“眼看着”有了转变。过了几个月,学生们自己     

语文课中自然知识的综合复习

在教学过程中进行经常而有系统的复习是学生进步条件之一。在语文课中的自然知识也应当进行综合复习的。在这种课上,只是复习已教过的最基本的和最重要的材料:明确学生的概念,扩大学生的理解力,补足学生的知能。一至三年级的综合复习课大概每一堂课可以复习一课。进行综合复习课时,必须尽量利用过去所应用过的一切教材(例如:实物教材:“活的和干燥的植物和动物标本”、图片、表格、模型、自然历、地图等等)。
