钱钟书致周采泉书札一通

钱钟书先生腹笥之丰，文笔之美，古今罕匹，其著述中卓荦大者已汇集成册，流布于世。三联版《钱钟书集》，皇皇巨著，凡十种十三册，嘉惠士林，泽被后学，固不待言。然“集”而未“全”，难免为人“求全责备”。如钱先生妙语隽永的书札一概未收，实在让企慕仰止的“钱迷”们感喟遗珠之憾。据说“按照原先的筹划，《钱钟书集》本拟推出书信卷。

为了适应高职院校高技能人才的培养要求,浙江广厦建设职业技术学院提出了“以信息化平台建设为依托的实训基地教学考核模式创新与实践”的思路,将信息化平台建设与实训基地教学考核相结合,发挥实训基地的作用,提高基地利用率,减轻管理人员工作量,提高工作效率,促进学生实践能力提升,提高实训基地教学效果。     

在线商品虚假评论形成路径研究

以淘宝为例,通过对43万条评论语料进行分析以及乔装淘宝店主获取的事实数据,从在线商品虚假评论实际解决需要出发,为在线商品虚假评论界定了新的含义,归纳了在线商品虚假评论的影响,最后全面分析了由在线评论者、在线销售商家、在线商品交易平台、虚假评论中介四大主体所组成体系中在线商品虚假评论的六大形成路径、形成动因及特点.本文对下一步的在线商品虚假评论识别技术等相关研究有极强的理论和实践指导意义.     

Polyethylenimine-cyclodextrin-tegafur conjugate shows anti-cancer activity and a potential for gene delivery

Polyethylenimine-cyclodextrin-tegafur (PEI-CyD-tegafur) conjugate was synthesized as a novel multifunctional prodrug of tegafur for co-delivery of chemotherapeutic agent tegafur and enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) reporter plasmid DNA. Conjugation of tegafur to PEI-CyD via chemical linkage was characterized by ¹H NMR spectrometry and ultraviolet (UV) spectrometry. PEI-CyD-tegafur was able to condense plasmid DNA into complexes of around 150 nm with positive charge at the N/P ratio of 25, in accordance with electron microscopy observation of compact and monodisperse nanoparticles. The results of in vitro experiments showed enhanced cytotoxicity and considerable transfection efficiency in B16F10 cell line. Therefore, PEI-CyD-tegafur may have great potential as a co-delivery system with anti-cancer activity and potential for gene delivery.

Parental Cultural Socialization of Mexican‐American Adolescents’ Family Obligation Values and Behaviors

The current study examined how parents’ cultural socialization efforts contribute to adolescents’ family obligation values and behaviors and how these processes may depend upon the relational climate at home. Utilizing survey and daily diary methodologies, 428 Mexican‐American adolescents (50% males; M_age = 15 years) and their parents (83% mothers; M_age = 42 years) participated in the study. Adolescents reported on their family obligation values and engagement in family assistance tasks across 14 days. Parents reported on their cultural socialization practices. Results indicated that parental cultural socialization was associated with adolescents’ family obligation values and behaviors when parent–child relationships were low in conflict and high in support. Findings suggest that the transmission of cultural values and practices is best facilitated through positive parent–child relationships.     

Identifying teaching groups as a basis for academic development

Academic development recognizes the strengths of communities, such as communities of practice or learning communities, in providing academics with supportive environments for the development of teaching. The problem academic development faces is that not enough academics are involved in these communities. Instead of trying to interest academics in joining communities, this research looks at the existing contexts around academics, which it refers to as ‘teaching groups’. It is proposed that every academic involved in teaching belongs to at least one teaching group, formed by colleagues teaching in the same course, degree or subject and that teaching groups form relevant contexts for engagement with teaching. The research investigates how teaching groups compare to communities and finds that less than half of teaching groups named by participants have strong community characteristics, indicating large space for improvement in the remaining majority of groups. The suggestion is made that identifying teaching groups across an institution might provide a promising starting point for engaging a majority of academics and working with these academics towards increased interaction on teaching in open and trusting collegial atmospheres.     

Modeling Growth in Electronic Learning Environments Using a Longitudinal Random Item Response Model

In educational environments, monitoring persons' progress over time may help teachers to evaluate the effectiveness of their teaching procedures. Electronic learning environments are increasingly being used as part of formal education and resulting datasets can be used to understand and to improve the environment. This study presents longitudinal models based on the item response theory (IRT) for measuring persons' ability within and between study sessions in data from web-based learning environments. Two empirical examples are used to illustrate the presented models. Results show that by incorporating time spent within- and between-study sessions into an IRT model; one is able to track changes in ability of a population of persons or for groups of persons at any time of the learning process.
