在1997年3月的一个雨天,我们第一次来到了浙江省。我的丈夫将参与建造中国最特殊的发电厂之一——天荒坪抽水蓄能电厂。从杭州机场出来后,我们的汽车在崎岖不平的道路上颠簸了一个小时后终于抛锚了。我站在路边雨雾中,在离家千里之外的偏远的中国野外,沮丧地四处张望。     

欧洲肥皂剧:多元化类型及意义解析

80年代起 ,美国肥皂剧涌入欧洲 ,激起欧洲影视制作人们制作本土肥皂剧来进行“欧洲反击”和达成文化认同。本文认为欧洲肥皂剧是多样化的 ,存在着三种基本模式———王朝剧、社区剧和二元模式剧。文章从权力结构、社会地位和两性关系等方面解析其特征 ,并将之与美国肥皂剧相比较 ,认为欧洲肥皂剧并非美国格式的本地翻版。不同的欧洲国家流行不同的肥皂剧模式 ,其背后有着深厚的文化、政治和社会原因。本文检视了欧洲肥皂剧与现实社会的关联 ,及其未来的发展趋势。     

浅谈在汉语教学中培养学生的审美素质

在双语教育教学实施的过程中,如何加强民族学生的汉语教学,提高少数民族学生的汉语水平,并在语言教学中培养学生的审美素质,是从事该教学的教育工作者需探索的重要课题。本人承担的是中职学生的汉语教学。经过近两年的摸索,有一些初步的感悟。中职学生尤其是少数民族学生,有特殊的年龄特征,此时他们的性格还没有定型,对问题的看法往往失之偏颇,审美也处在发展变化过程之中。他们对周围的新事物充满了强烈的好奇,抽象的思维能力还不健全,分析问题能力也不强,容易被表面现象所迷惑,所以常常会忽略很多美好的东西,而较高层次的美难以体味,甚至…     

烟斗

道先生开的铺子,远邻近舍,家家熟知。这家小店,出售各种各样的零星百货,老老少少,都来光顾,选购各自所需的用品。货架和店柜上的商品,琳琅满目,美不胜收。小乔伊每天放学以后,就逛进这家小店东张西望。他爱看那些烟斗,其中有一只特别惹他注目。每当他回家路过这里,总要盯它一阵,而且一见了它就目不转睛,心想:“总有那么一天,我会长大成人,可以抽抽烟斗,就像这只。”他记不起父亲是啥模样,但是他知道父亲准是抽烟斗的。小乔伊伸出手去摸了摸那只烟斗,又用一根手指在烟斗杆上轻轻地摩挲(māsā)着。他老是在想:他长大了,就可以去工作,他的母亲…

Introducing computer literacy skills for physicians

Computers are integral to medical practice, education, and research. While medical students learn computer skills during their training, many practicing physicians do not have the same computer experience. To familiarize this group with the exciting developments in medical informatics, the Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library and Department of Computer Medicine at the George Washington University Medical Center organized a workshop "Introducing Your Office Computer!" for attending physicians. The workshop featured a short lecture/video presentation on computer applications in medicine followed by a "computer fair" of five computer applications. Eleven physicians attended the workshop. Feedback was very positive; many called later to request more detailed instructions on using the programs demonstrated. It was a valuable experience for the staff, and new bridges were built between departments and clients.     

Advances in the phylogenesis of Agaricales and its higher ranks and strategies for establishing phylogenetic hypotheses

We present an overview of previous research results on the molecular phylogenetic analyses in Agaricales and its higher ranks (Agaricomycetes/Agaricomycotina/Basidiomycota) along with the most recent treatments of taxonomic systems in these taxa. Establishing phylogenetic hypotheses using DNA sequences, from which an understanding of the natural evolutionary relationships amongst clades may be derived, requires a robust dataset. It has been recognized that single-gene phylogenies may not truly represent organismal phylogenies, but the concordant phylogenetic genealogies from multiple-gene datasets can resolve this problem. The genes commonly used in mushroom phylogenetic research are summarized.
