For the record: document and record sensibilities of art conservators in the Philippines

In this article the authors present a study of the use of documents by a small group of art conservators in the Philippines. Documents are important for these conservators, but not just, or even primarily, for their role as memory devices. Also important are the functions they play in creating a sense of professional identity, for mediating the tensions created by a bureaucratically structured workplace and an occupation traditionally organised around notions of craftsmanship, and as creators of persuasive evidence for clients.

虚拟社区是互联网使用户互动后产生的一种社会群体,它利用Web2.0技术为社区用户提供信息交互平台。虚拟社区作为目前最流行的交流互动系统,被应用到多种社会领域。但是,在虚拟社区给个人和企、事业单位带来便利与发展优势的同时,可能产生如信息超载、责任不明确、可操控性差等问题。因而,从完善管理制度、正确引导网络舆论、营造良好社区文化、注重社区成员均衡发展、提高社区凝聚力、加强社区个性化舞台建设这六方面来改善虚拟社区状况能更好地促进其发展。

We See a Rainbow: Resource Sharing and Reference Services Working Together

The University of Massachusetts Boston, Joseph P. Healey Library, Resource Sharing and Document Delivery Department and Reference, Outreach and Instruction Department, established a cross-interdepartmental collaboration resulting in enhanced customer service and increased Interlibrary Loan (ILL) fill rate. This case study will review the rationale and the events that necessitated the establishment of the cross-interdepartmental collaboration. The collaborative partnership resulted in higher fulfilments rates increasing dramatically from 83% to 91.5%, knowledge sharing across departments, and heightened research skills. Future plans include extending the ILL/ROI collaboration model and piloting an Open Access initiative.     

Edge pattern based demosaicking algorithm of color filter array

An efficient adaptive approximation demosaicking algorithm based on the sampled edge pattern was presented for mosaic images from Bayer color filter array. The proposed algorithm determined edge patterns by four nearest green values surrounding the green interpolation location. Then according to the edge patterns, different adaptive interpolation steps were applied. Simulations on 12 Kodak photos and 15 IMAX high-quality images showed that the proposed method outperformed the other four demosaicking methods (bilinear, effective color interpolation, Lu’s method and Chen’s method) for average color peak signal to noise ratios and maintained a relatively low complexity owing to constant color-difference interpolation step and a reasonable terminating condition of iteration.

多管落球法测量重力加速度

介绍了多管落球法测量重力加速度的新方法。采用外推法设计实验,实现了斯托克斯公式所要求的横向和纵向均为"无限广延"的条件。测得的重力加速度值与公认值相比相对误差为2.3%。     

浅析小学科学教学的四个坚持

小学科学课程是以培养学生科学素养为宗旨。本文从小学课程教学的实际出发,结合笔者自身教学实践经验,提出了实现小学科学教学目标的"四个坚持"。     

"学法"在健美操教学中运用的实践研究

健美操对学生的灵敏性、协调性、音乐的感受力等方面要求较高,运用传统的教学方法施教,教学效果不够明显。因此,在健美操教学中运用常规教法的基础上,注重运用“学法”进行教学实践,结果表明,教学中正确的运用“学法”,可以使学生在学会动作的同时,提高学习能力,其教学效果明显优于传统的教学方法。     

高校虚拟参考服务的用户可用性评估

对高校虚拟参考服务的用户可用性的评估标准进行了初步探讨。论述了该评估标准的建立方法,在此基础上建立了用户可用性层次分析法评估模型,进而利用评估模型进行了实例分析。
