Objektorientierter Entwurf eines flexiblen Workflow-Management-Systems

Zusammenfassung.   Dieser Beitrag enth?lt die wesentlichen konzeptionellen überlegungen zur Entwicklung eines flexiblen Workflow-Management-Systems. Ausgehend von einer Diskussion m?glicher Modellierungsalternativen wird unter Verwendung objektorientierter Modellierungstechniken ein Workflow-Meta-Schema entwickelt, das die relevanten Entit?ten klassifiziert und ihre Beziehungen abbildet. Anhand eines Beispiels werden die getroffenen Entwurfentscheidungen ausführlich begründet. Schlie?lich werden Zust?nde und Zustandsüberg?nge von Workflow-Instanzen beschrieben, und es wird diskutiert, wie dynamische Ver?nderungen von Workflows zur Laufzeit durchgeführt werden k?nnen, um laufende Workflows dynamisch an ver?nderte Umweltbedingungen anzupassen. The Online Market for Illegal Copies of Magazines: A German Case Study

A few years ago, publishing companies started to sell digital copies of their magazines. This study investigates a consequence of this change: the increasing online trade with illegal copies. We collected data on almost 10,000 issues of German magazines that are illegally offered online. The files are distributed in a three-sided market, in which a small number of platforms bring suppliers of illegal copies, consumers, and advertisers together. The market has been growing rapidly—between 2009 and 2012 by a factor of 10. In contrast to the legal magazine market, the illegal trade mostly concerns IT and consumer electronics magazines.

Spannungsfeld Polyvalenz in der Lehrerbildung

The Bologna Process of higher education reform has led to a vast array of different programs of study in German teacher training. In this article, we firstly analyze the implementation of Bachelor programs in teacher training, comparing profession-oriented programs (i.e. those aiming to train students for the teaching profession from the beginning of studies) to polyvalent programs (i.e. those aiming at broad qualifications and including a late decision to become a teacher). Secondly, we investigate whether students enrolled in these study programs differ systematically in their subjective certainty about their career choice. To answer these questions, we analyze portfolios of documents related to teacher training programs from nine German universities that prepare students for teaching in the academic track. Additionally, we analyze data from N?=?2585 Bachelor and N?=?928 Master degree students. We found that most programs, even when they espouse polyvalence, require an early decision to become a teacher. Moreover, our data confirm findings from earlier studies indicating that student teachers are highly certain about their career choice from the very beginning, with students in polyvalent programs being slightly less certain than those in profession-oriented programs (d?=?0.32).     

Entwicklungsförderung im außerschulischen Kinder- und Jugendsport

The concept “Psychosocial Resources in Sport” (Sygusch, Ein sportartenorientiertes Förderkonzept für Schule und Verein. Schorndorf: Hofmann, 2007) substantiates methodical measures to systematically promote resources such as self-concept, self-efficacy, group cohesion, and social competence. In the PRimus-study this concept was implemented in handball and apparatus gymnastics over 7 months in 29 training groups (age: 12–16 years). The aim, amongst others, was to evaluate whether the concept is effective in child and youth sport. For this purpose a mixed-method design was chosen. The development of resources were measured through qualitative trainer interviews (n?=?39) as well as quantitative surveys of athletes (IG: n?=?374; KG: n?=?270) over three measurement times. The trainer statements show that the intervention initiated resource strengthening processes which indicate a promotion of resources. The quantitative measurements, however, do not reveal substantial changes throughout the intervention period. The change in behavior of coaches and athletes – regardless of the intervention measures – influences the development of resources. Overall, it must be noted that broad-based intervention concepts, which are also feasible, had difficulty proving the effects and the effectiveness.     

DNA-Computing – ein funktionales Modell im laborpraktischen Experiment

Zusammenfassung.   Im Zentrum der Betrachtungen zum DNA-Computing steht die Frage nach den Chancen und Grenzen dieses neuen Berechnungsmodells, nachdem in den letzten Jahren eine rasante Entwicklung auf das Thema aufmerksam machte. Neben beachtlichen theoretischen Untersuchungen zum “Rechnen im Reagenzglas” werden auch laborpraktische Implementierungen favorisiert. An der TU Dresden wurde in interdisziplin?rer Arbeit ein Integer-Rucksackproblem mittels eines DNA-Algorithmus im Labor gel?st und dabei eine Vielzahl molekularbiologischer Operationen analysiert. Mit Hilfe dieses Satzes von Operationen gelang eine universelle und labornahe Modellierung des DNA-Computing. Hierbei angewandte Techniken und Methoden werden vorgestellt und bewertet. Die Beschreibung des DNA-Algorithmus zeigt, wie sich Einzeloperationen vorteilhaft zu Operationsfolgen zusammensetzen lassen und gemeinsam mit einer geeigneten DNA-Kodierung der Eingangsdaten zur L?sung des Problems im Labor führen. Erstmalig wurden hierbei natürliche Zahlen verarbeitet. Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft DNA-Computing Dresden konzentriert sich auf Aufgabenstellungen, die formale Modelle des DNA-Computing mit überzeugenden Laborimplementierungen verbinden. Eingegangen am 14.
