Software Use in Psychometric Research

Research on psychometric methods is heavily dependent on software. The quality, availability, and documentation of such software are critical to the advancement of the field. In 2000, an ad hoc committee of NCME recommended that NCME adopt policies that promote greater availability and better documentation of software. This article follows the ad hoc committee's report by examining the use of software in four top-tiered journals in recent years. The results indicated that the most frequently cited programs were those written by the articles' authors. The documentation and availability for these programs are often not clear, particularly for software used for simulations. The use of proprietary software was not widespread in the four journals, but there is still room for concern in the future. This article recommends that NCME form a permanent committee to address software issues.     

清《御批了凡纲鉴》经眼记

2000年暮春，一天好友余朝王来电话，说是他在古玩摊上买到书画20余幅及33册古籍，叫我去欣赏。驱车赶到县城，仔细一看，书画为民国时期的旧装旧裱，属江川本地名家之作，有杨嘉善的书法4条屏带对联、傅铭珍的中堂梅花带对联、张紫宗的书法12条屏等。古籍为《御批了凡纲鉴增补》，有虫蛀之痕迹，但影响不大。该书成书时间为乾隆十一年（1746年）。编者有大学士张廷玉，兵部右侍郎王会汾，日讲官赵居注翰林院侍讲学士杨椿，内阁侍读苏崇阿，国子监司业鹤年，翰林院编修柏谦、张映斗、朱荃、朱佩莲，翰林院庶吉章慢，内阁中书呈麟等。33册的（《御批了凡纲鉴增补》每册都有署签题字，左下角署“竹铭氏”三字，有朱文篆印一枚，印文清晰可辨。从印刷质量、刊刻精细、字迹清晰、边框完整看，属初印版本，是活字木刻印刷的精品，疑为武英殿刻本。武英殿在北京故宫内，乾隆时在这里校刻的书很多，如（《十三经》“二十四史》等，称武英殿本，省称“殿本”。     

《济南市中小学综合实践活动课程的研究》课题开题报告

近年来 ,在我国基础教育课程改革实践中 ,涌现出一种新的课程形态———综合实践活动课程。这门课程在我国新的课程体系中占有重要位置 ,它包括信息技术教育、研究性学习、社区服务与社会实践以及劳动技术教育。按照新课程计划 ,综合实践活动占总课时比例的 6 %至 8%。由市教学研究室申报的《济南市中小学综合实践活动课程的研究》课题已被列为山东省“十五”规划重点课题和中央教科所综合实践活动课程的研究课题的子课题 ,该课题的研究 ,将为济南市的课程改革起到推动的作用     

北京普通高校学生课外体育活动的现状及对策研究

本文为全面、系统了解北京普通高校学生参加课外体育活动的现状以及存在的主要问题,为进一步贯彻实施学校体育有关法规和深化学校体育教育改革提供参考依据,为加强大学生课外体育活动的宏观管理与科学指导提供帮助。研究表明,大多数学生能参加课外体育活动,但有9.07%的学生从来不参加课外体育活动,主要受场地器材不足等客观条件的影响。各校应加大对场地设施的建设,改善运动场地,器材设备和卫生条件,为学生创造一个良好的锻炼环境,使越来越多的学生逐步养成经常进行体育活动的良好习惯。

Normative behavior and information: The social aspects of information access

Information access is central to library and information science, yet explorations of its conceptual nature have been limited. Given the importance of information access to the discipline, there is a need for research to create a better understanding of the concept and its many roles in all activities and behaviors related to information. Drawing on the theoretical work of Elfreda Chatman, this article proposes that the study of information access can be facilitated through the recognition and examination of the physical, intellectual, and social aspects of information access. These types of access are examined through three case studies in terms of different information behaviors and contexts, with a particular focus on the importance of social access. The article also discusses the future roles that considerations of social access can play in research and theory.
