岳阳市城乡中学生健康危险行为的比较研究

为了了解岳阳市城乡中学生健康危险行为发生对比情况,制定相应的中学生健康政策,为岳阳市城乡中学采取干预措施提供科学依据。采用分层整群抽样方法分别抽取岳阳市5所中学31个班级约1860名学生进行无名问卷调查。危害中学生健康的危险行为主要为伤害、吸烟、饮酒、网络成瘾、不良膳食行为、缺乏体育锻炼。结果显示:岳阳市中学生健康危险行为城市和农村在不良饮食行为(X2=34.21);意外伤害行为(交通违规行为X2=8.85、不安全游泳行为X2=6.64);物质成瘾行为(吸烟、饮酒X2=16.74);精神成瘾行为(X2=31.43)均存在显著性差异,有统计学意义(P0.05)。结论:应针对城乡不同人文环境,提出相应的干预措施,促进城乡中学生的身心健康。     

野外露营的价值探讨

随着科技的不断发展,人类已经进入了现代化发展阶段,休闲已经成为人类社会的重要特征,带有积极、自由的主观态度的野外露营,进入了人们的休闲生活。本文运用社会学、文化学的知识和方法,从休闲产生背景出发,多角度地分析了这种原始而又时尚运动的休闲价值,认为野外露营运动是以愉悦、休息、放松为主要目标,是亲近自然,积聚能力并投入崭新生活的一种状态,是强身养心、繁荣经济、促进社会和谐的多功能的健康生活方式。     

近10年我国信息伦理学研究的实证分析

论文利用EXCEL和SPSS作为分析工具,采用文献计量和因子分析方法,分析了我国2001-2010年信息伦理学研究现状及热点,得出我国信息伦理学的研究趋势和重点主要集中于信息伦理规范、网络环境下的信息伦理学研究、图书馆与信息伦理、特殊人群的信息伦理教育、信息伦理道德教育与技术教育研究五个方面,旨在为信息伦理学的发展提供借鉴。

"985工程"大学图书馆学科服务实践的现状代表了我国大学图书馆学科服务的最高发展水平,但其仍在组织机构、管理体制、学科馆员数量、综合素质、评价制度、激励机制、服务深度、服务广度诸多方面存在不足,应通过建立管理机制、组建学科馆员队伍、构建绩效激励体系、建设学科服务平台、深化学科服务层次等措施来完善其学科服务。     

Library 2.0: The New E‐World Order

This article explains why Library 2.0 is nothing less than a new world order. The author, who is the manager of the Strategic Planning Office of the National Library of Singapore, argues that libraries must stop trying to change the behavior of their users. Instead they must give up control and make use of collaborative tools and technology to engage and share information rather than just provide it. He highlights three areas where change is imperative if libraries are to have a bright future.     

Measurement Properties of Two Innovative Item Formats in a Computer-Based Test

Many innovative item formats have been proposed over the past decade, but little empirical research has been conducted on their measurement properties. This study examines the reliability, efficiency, and construct validity of two innovative item formats—the figural response (FR) and constructed response (CR) formats used in a K–12 computerized science test. The item response theory (IRT) information function and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were employed to address the research questions. It was found that the FR items were similar to the multiple-choice (MC) items in providing information and efficiency, whereas the CR items provided noticeably more information than the MC items but tended to provide less information per minute. The CFA suggested that the innovative formats and the MC format measure similar constructs. Innovations in computerized item formats are reviewed, and the merits as well as challenges of implementing the innovative formats are discussed.     

When Nature of Science Meets Marxism: Aspects of Nature of Science Taught by Chinese Science Teacher Educators to Prospective Science Teachers

Nature of science (NOS) is beginning to find its place in the science education in China. In a study which investigated Chinese science teacher educators’ conceptions of teaching NOS to prospective science teachers through semi-structured interviews, five key dimensions emerged from the data. This paper focuses on the dimension, NOS content to be taught to prospective science teachers. Among a total of twenty NOS elements considered by the Chinese science teacher educators to be important ideas to be taught, five were suggested by no less than a half of the educators. They are (1) empirical basis of scientific investigation, (2) logics in scientific investigation, (3) general process of scientific investigation, (4) progressive nature of scientific knowledge, and (5) realist views of mind and natural world. This paper discusses the influence of Marxism, a special socio-cultural factor in China, on Chinese science teacher educators’ conceptions of NOS content to be taught to prospective science teachers. We argue the importance of considering ideological traditions (mainly those in general philosophy and religion) when interpreting views of NOS or its content to be taught in different countries and regions and understanding students’ conceptual ecology of learning NOS.

Integrating lifelong learning in university management

Universities in a capitalistic society have been expected to produce graduates for the labour market which in turn contributes to the economic development of the nation. In today's environment where the social spending on education grows faster than the economy, it becomes increasingly difficult for the education system to maintain an existing level of provision. Hence, institutions are required to legitimate themselves through the value they provide. The capitalistic process in Hong Kong has generated the demand for lifelong learning in the higher education system. The resulting evolution of the system has compelled the policy makers of higher education to redefine the purpose of higher education and re-evaluate the university management. This paper discusses Liu's (1997) holistic approach of evaluating and planning for the university academic programmes as well as building an ‘enterprise culture’ at the institutional level with a Hong Kong case analysis. When strategically planning for the future in a volatile and transient environment, university management plays an important role in integrating continuing professional education (CPE) and mainstream academic programmes and in cultivating a market-oriented ‘institutional enterprise-culture’ which responds to environmental changes more proactively.
