Introduction to this Special Issue

In 2001, for the first time in the history of the International Association for Counselling, International Conference was held in a developing Asian country–India, with the theme Families in Transition–Counselling in Transition–Meeting the Challenges Ahead. This special issue contains some of the presentations made by Indian participants during this conference which best reflect the challenges and diversities of counseling efforts with families in India. The first article was specially written for this issue in order to give an international relationship of this journal an in depth contextual understanding of Indian families in transition and the challenges they pose to the contemporary Indian counselor. Two articles are reflected to counseling families affected by socio-politial and economic changes. Five authors have written on counseling related to physical and mental disability/addiction and last two articles are reflected to authors experiences as family counselors.     

‘Approaches to the Teaching of Special Relativity Theory in High School and University Textbooks of Argentina’

In this work, we presented an analysis of the representation of the special relativity theory (SRT) in the most used texts in high school, Polimodal level and university level in the teaching in the Argentine Republic, from a historic, epistemological and didactic perspective. The results show that none of the analyzed texts would allow a contextualized approach on such theory.     

Kinetics study on biomass pyrolysis for fuel gas production

Kinetic knowledge is of great importance in achieving good control of the pyrolysis and gasification process and optimising system design. An overall kinetic pyrolysis scheme is therefore addressed here. The kinetic modelling incorporates the following basic steps: the degradation of the virgin biomass materials into primary products (tar, gas and semi-char), the decomposition of primary tar into secondary products and the continuous interaction between primary gas and char. The last step is disregarded completely by models in the literature. Analysis and comparison of predicted results from different kinetic schemes and experimental data on our fixed bed pyrolyser yielded very positive evidence to support our kinetic scheme. 全球化语境下的中国现代文论

对中国知识界来说，全球化问题带来的期待与困扰只是中国现代化追求与焦虑的持续延伸而已。伴随着经济、技术的全球化而来的，是全球各种利益集团的权力与利益的摩擦与冲突。在这其中，文化传统既成为潜在的资源与优势，也成为某种维护群体生存的壁垒，因而中国现代文论家们力图在西化、现代化与复归传统之间寻找某种平衡与协调。他们在文学理论领域所做的沟通中、西的工作就是这种平衡意图的一种表现。这是一个艰难的工程，至今尚未完工。而且，这种仅仅停留于理论层面上的兑换与沟通容易导致对自我生存境遇的忽略。因而，在面对西方理论话语的时候，必须在理论思考之中引入第三个雏度——民族自我的当下生存境况，以此使得我们的理论思考成为民族传统的动态建构过程的一叶。

一、问题的提出 我们认为,学生的创新意识是在主动探索知识的过程中得到培养的,学生的实践能力是在应用知识,解决问题的实践活动中得到发展的.基于小学数学教学适应培养创新型人才的需要,笔者提出了"小学数学研究性学习的探索"的课题.
