An Examination of Media Usage among French-Muslims

Media help in the formation of identity. For ethnic communities, ethnic media can play a dual role, aiding in the acculturation process and assisting in holding onto ethnic identities. This study examines media and identity negotiation. Specifically, this study analyzes differences in media usage among French-Muslims. The principal researcher interviewed 42 first and second generation French-Muslims to explore their media usage and the relationships between their media usage and ethnic identification. Analysis uncovered two key findings. First, second-generation French-Muslims prefer to use ethnic media more than French produced media as a form of protest against French assimilationist policies. Second, abandoning ethnic media is equated with becoming French, which is something first and second generation French-Muslims resist.     

Surveying the Aspect of the Medieval West Anatolian Town

The aim of this short article is modest: it means to fill a lacuna in scholarly output by offering a concise and accessible survey of the physical structure of the typical west Anatolian town in the High Middle Ages. Attempts to locate such a study meet with disappointment. If one wishes to look through the eyes of medieval travellers in Anatolia, whether they be merchants, pilgrims or soldiers, and discover what type of construction they witnessed when approaching and entering a typical town, one is compelled to trawl through a great number of specialist articles and monographs dealing with specific archaeological sites or particular narrow periods of history. This laborious exercise will be made somewhat redundant by a brief synthesis of the appropriate evidence which historians and archaeologists have addressed and compiled since the late 1950s when attempting to reconstruct the development of the Byzantine city. The article traces the slow development of the typical Anatolian urban form and aspect from the late fourth century, through the mid-seventh to mid-eighth centuries, and then through to a period of urban recovery until the latter part of the twelfth century. The choice of periods separated by some 800 years is not arbitrary: the physical character (and function) of the typical town began to change in the late fourth century, and the form it obtained during the seventh and eighth centuries continued to be the one retained (with inconsequential variations to the general pattern) during the intermediate periods of Byzantine recovery

基于TCP下多线程WINSOCK编程

本文首先分析了在WINSOCK下具体网络编程过程中的实际需求,利用线程创建函数编写了服务器对多个客户同时响应的例子,即在每一个客户提出请求后,主程序调用CreateThread子函数创建一个线程去服务客户,而主程序返回去等待下一个客户请求,从而实现多个客户与服务器间的通信。     

运动对ApoE基因敲除鼠动脉粥样硬化形成的干预作用及机制

探讨运动对动脉粥样硬化形成的延缓作用及抗氧化作用途径、脂代谢途径,以ApoE建立动脉粥样硬化(AS)模型,观察有氧运动对ApoE-/-小鼠主动脉斑块面积、血脂、血氧化低密度脂蛋白、肝MDA、肝SOD的影响。结果:ApoE-/-小鼠形成明显斑块,存在氧化水平的升高和血脂紊乱,运动可使斑块面积减少,使ApoE-/-小鼠血oxldl、肝MDA降低,肝SOD升高,但运动没有影响ApoE-/-小鼠的血脂水平,且运动均不影响正常状态,即C57小鼠的脂代谢和氧化水平。结论:运动可通过调节机体的氧化抗氧化水平,发挥抗动脉粥样硬化的作用,可能独立于降血脂途径。     

奥运会与大众传媒关系的仪式性分析

电视(大众传媒的代表)在全球范围将奥运仪式分类有序地展现,促成了奥运的“去仪式化”;而奥运作为仪式性的媒介事件,从传播内容方面促成了大众传播的仪式性,从传播形式方面促成了大众传播仪式的再次仪式化(奥运在大众传播这种日常仪式中再次形成了阈限期,即仪式状态),从而促成受众的连续收视行为,特别是奥运期间的超常规收视行为,强化其仪式功能———使受众拥有共享信仰而获得的满足和安全感。奥运和电视形成了良性的互动和双赢关系。同时,奥运和媒体的这种共谋直接导致了第三种客观结果:奥运的“去仪式化”,即仪式和群众场面———民族国家组织场景之间的转化,歌颂、强化了民族国家的整体感以及分类权力的秩序。     

优秀游泳运动员不同训练阶段负荷安排及血清激素水平的变化

目的:将运动员不同训练负荷安排与他们血清激素水平的变化联系起来,探讨不同阶段训练对优秀游泳运动员机体体系统应激水平的影响.方法:追踪国家游泳队10名-线队员,把4月19日-5月17日整一个月作为运动员耐力训练阶段,把6月14日-7月12日一个月作为力量训练阶段.每个训练阶段都在试验前、中、后取3次血样,每次取样间隔为2周.测试指标:血乳酸(B1a),睾酮(T),皮质醇(C),T/C和胰岛素样生长因子1(IGF-1).结果:①在赛前耐力训练阶段中,运动员B1a检测值较低,运动员T值呈下降趋势,C值显著上升,T/C呈下降趋势,IGF-1变化不明显.②在赛前力量训练阶段中,运动员B1a值较高,T值呈上升趋势,C值亦显著上升,T/C变化不明显,IGF-1呈上升趋势.结论:在耐力训练阶段,运动员机体的分解代谢占主导方面;在力量训练阶段,运动员机体的合成代谢占主导方面.     

高原训练对游泳运动员的影响

以湖北省游泳队为期23天高原训练的10名队员为研究对象,对运动员的血乳酸、血红蛋白、睾酮、皮质醇等方面进行机能监测与分析,探讨高原训练对游泳的生理效应。结果验证了高原训练提高机能水平,乳酸——速度曲线右移,血红蛋白回升等,为监控训练提供了科学的数据,具有统计学意义。     

自主运动抑制tau蛋白过度磷酸化改善学习记忆的分子机制

目的探讨自主运动调节tau蛋白激酶和tau蛋白磷酸酶的基因表达,抑制APP/PS1转基因小鼠海马tau蛋白过度磷酸化,进而改善学习记忆能力的分子机制。方法C57系APP/PS1转基因小鼠随机分为运动组(TE)与对照组(TC);C57系野生小鼠亦随机分为运动组(E)与对照组(C)。其中,TE组和E组小鼠从3月龄开始,给予16周的跑轮运动装置,TC组和C组小鼠不施加运动干预,作为相应对照组。Morris水迷宫实验检测APP/PS1转基因小鼠的空间学习记忆能力,Western Blot实验检测海马磷酸化tau蛋白(P-tau)水平,RT-PCR实验检测海马tau蛋白及tau蛋白激酶GSK-3β和CDK-5,tau蛋白磷酸酶PP2A和PP1 mRNA表达。结果(1)与TC组相比,TE组小鼠Morris水迷宫游泳潜伏期显著性降低(P<0.05),平台象限的游泳时间百分比显著性增加(P<0.05),穿越原平台位置的次数极显著性增加(P<0.01);(2)与TC组相比,TE组小鼠海马总tau蛋白mRNA表达显著下调(P<0.05),Ser202位点和Thr181位点P-tau蛋白表达均显著性下调(P<0.05);(3)与TC组相比,TE组小鼠海马tau蛋白磷酸化激酶GSK-3β(P<0.01)和CDK-5(P<0.05)mRNA表达显著性下调,tau蛋白磷酸酶PP2A(P<0.01)和PP1(P<0.01)mRNA表达极显著性下调。结论16周自主运动通过下调tau蛋白激酶表达、上调tau蛋白磷酸酶表达,抑制APP/PS1转基因小鼠海马tau蛋白的过度磷酸化,进而促进海马神经细胞功能,改善转基因小鼠学习记忆。说明自主运动可通过调节脑的分子生物学机制,促进认知功能的改善和提升,预防和缓解阿尔茨海默病。
