Communicating New Library Roles to Enable Digital Scholarship: A Review Article

ABSTRACT

Academic libraries enable a wide range of digital scholarship activities, increasingly as a partner rather than as a service provider. Communicating that shift in role is challenging, not least as digital scholarship is a new field with many players whose activities on campus can be disjointed. The library's actual and potential contributions need to be broadcast to a diverse range of internal and external constituencies, primarily academic staff, university management, library colleagues and related project teams, often with different perspectives. Libraries have significant contributions to offer and a focused communications strategy is needed to embed libraries in digital scholarship and to create new perceptions of their role as enabling partners.     

创新创业教育背景下通信原理课程改革与实践

结合高等学校创新创业教育理念,采用"课堂教学+线上教学"混合教学方式,将教学理论与教学实践相结合,提出通信原理课程改革与实践方法。从优化理论教学内容、改革考试方式、建立多维教学体系和实践改革体系、开展校企合作等方面开展研究和探索。通过对课程教学改革方案的实施,培养学生的应用和实践能力,为创新创业教育与课堂教学相结合提供了可行方案,对其他学科专业基础课程改革与建设也具有一定的借鉴意义。     

EAIT special issue: Valuing individual and shared learning: The role of ICT

This special issue supports the conference ‘Valuing individual and shared learning: the role of ICT’ held by the Working Group 3.5 Informatics in Elementary Education in June 2008 in Prague, Czech Republic. The Editorial describes the focus and context of the conference. It draws attention to the wide variety of presentations by Czech colleagues, and the findings of two recent studies of policy and initiatives in Informatics education in the Czech Republic. The selected articles are described and represent the range of themes, including a theoretical model of teachers’ digital competence; a national study of the use of interactive whiteboards; a study of interactivity and dialogue with digital technologies in classrooms; dialogue in student teachers’ interactions with pupils in online environments; the use of virtual reality to support awareness of dyslexia; and a theoretical framework for the use of mediascapes in the curriculum.     

Creating a model to examine motivation for sustained engagement in online communities

This paper considers factors that influenced long-term engagement in an online community. It draws on a case study of a 6 year online collaboration amongst a group of European teachers. The email interchange between these teachers was, with their agreement, saved and used as research data; intensive group interviews were also conducted, involving all the participants in the online group. Dynamic motivation models and Csikszentmihalyi’s concept of motivational flow were used to create a theoretical framework to analyse the email interchanges and group interview data so as to build an understanding of the teachers’ commitment to the online community. As a result of the analysis, the existing theoretical models were modified to produce a new combined model. This incorporates ideas grounded in the participants’ reasons for their sustained engagement in the collaboration. This combined model could provide a basis for planning future virtual interactions and for assessing their sustainability.     

电机节能控制技术的设计与实现

异步电动机是工业用电的主要拖动设备,实现异步电机的节能控制将有效降低系统总体功耗。本文根据交流异步电机运行过程控制特点,提出基于最小电流的工作电压控制方式,实现电机的能耗控制。重点从软、硬件两个方面进行了探讨,设计了系统的硬件主控单元结构,并就系统的基本原理以及软件的实现思路进行了介绍。     

数字通信教学与实践改革探索

数字通信是计算机和通信专业的重要课程。根据以往的教学观察和反馈,针对学生理论学习理解不透彻,实践动手能力不强等问题,对教学过程进行总结,并从几个方面进行改革探索。在教学内容组织上,注意整个知识体系与章节部分的关系,使其具有较好的逻辑性和系统性。处理好理论教学和实验教学的关系,使其相互融合,互为促进。丰富教学形式,建设好网络课堂,方便学生在课后的学习。经过在教学实践中的尝试,取得了较为良好的效果。     

基于硅基微环10Gbit/sNRZ系统设计及性能分析

硅基光子器件在光通信、光互连以及光计算领域均具有重要的作用。利用载流子色散效应,采用反向pn结构的硅基微环调制器,实现10 Gbit/s不归零码(Not Return to Zero,NRZ)信号的产生。同时,以此光调制器为核心器件,利用Optisystem和Matlab搭建10 Gbit/s NRZ传输系统并协同仿真分析在不同光纤传输长度和驱动信号下NRZ信号的系统性能。仿真结果表明:当加载幅度为5 V方波信号时,产生调幅信号的消光比为25.2 d B,最大传输距离为22.8 km,相应的系统功率损失为7.58 d B。     

移动通信课程建设与学生培养的改革实践

文章通过探究移动通信课程体系内涵,确立教学策略,并结合教学实践,对该课程进行了多媒体与网络教学、双语教学和现代教育技术研究等教学改革。同时,积极开展学术交流活动,了解国际前沿技术。针对该课程工程实践性强的特点,成立学生研究小组,充分利用实验室及产学研基地已有的丰富的软硬件资源,强化专业实践训练。目前,已取得较好的教学效果和实践成效。     

论大众传播对未成年人价值观的引导

在社会信息化浪潮汹涌澎湃的时代,大众传播为未成年人的学习生活和舆论开辟了新的渠道,构成了未成年人价值观形成、发展的重要环境,成为教育引导未成年人价值观的核心力量。大众传播在利用其特有功能及优势引导未成年人认识、认同、践行社会主导价值观的同时,也在一定程度上对未成年人的价值观形成误导。要限制和消除这种误导效应,必须要提高传播者自身素质,选择适宜的传播内容和方式,加强监管部门的监察力度,才能帮助未成年入顺利过渡到价值观的“成熟期”。     

公共危机信息网络传播的政府监控体系构建

论文通过明确公共危机信息网络传播在公共危机管理中的作用,找出我国公共危机信息网络传播中由于缺乏有效监控而存在的许多问题,从我国以政府为管理主体的情况出发,探讨完善政府监控体系的必要性,并以公共危机生命周期的视角,根据公共危机信息存在的三个阶段设想完善的政府监控体系。
