中国常常“错失”世界大奖的理性思考——以中西方文明与文化的差异性为视角

中国文明是从内部因素和理性的推理来求证世界,西方文明是从外部因素和实践的求证来理解世界。因此,决定了它们各自传承延展的思想文化内容和特征不同,导致了生长在不同地域与社会关系、文化氛围中的中西方人对生命和人性的本质理解之描述也就必然出现差异,进而决定了文学艺术与影视艺术在追求与表现上的差异性。     

Developing ‘active citizens’: Arts Award,creativity and impact

Creativity has become the new watchword in UK academic and policy circles. Within this context, policy discussions about the arts and their impact emphasise economic benefits over educational value, drawing clear distinctions between quantifiable or ‘hard’ measures of impact and those described as ‘soft’, less tangible and lacking a strong evidence base. Departing from the binary logics often underpinning notions of arts impacts, this article is novel in exploring the entwined relationship between impacts seen as ‘hard’ and ‘soft’. We draw on research examining the links between arts education and young people's future trajectories and use the concept of ‘active citizenship’ to show how informal, softer skills fostered through creative learning are an important part of citizenship-making for some young people. Participants’ accounts show how improvements in soft skills can give young people opportunities for agency, which shape progression pathways leading to measurable change. This finding is directly relevant in the context of evaluations of arts impacts in the UK and abroad, and should encourage further examination of the impact of creative learning on transfer of skills as well as policy developments in this area.

日知先生从60年代初受部分苏联学者的影响,深陷"苏联学术窠臼"之中,不仅相信中国先秦时代也有民主政治,而且为之坚持和论证了一生,甚至越到晚年越是执迷,认为其民主政治程度比之西方古典民主政治不仅绝无愧色,而且还要丰富,还要典型。他的博学,无人堪比,他的坚持,精神可嘉,但他的论证,却问题多多。     

Does teaching children about human rights,encourage them to practice,protect and promote the rights of others?

The purpose of the article is to demonstrate how the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Rights Respecting Schools Award makes positive contributions to children’s lives and experiences at school. Within the overall context of education as a right, the Award supports children to learn about their rights and the rights of others. By learning through a rights-based framework, children experience a rights-based approach to education and start to become active rights thinkers and rights holders. This article presents findings regarding the lived experiences of children participating in a rights education programme from a primary school in England. The results are consistent with previous rights education research and confirm that teaching and supporting the human rights of children to children, through a rights education programme, encourages children to practice, protect and promote the rights of others within their school.
