Mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University: professional curriculum development and teacher training

This paper offers a multi-perspective view on engineering education at RWTH Aachen University: curriculum design, examples of newly developed teaching methods for engineering curri-cula, and teaching competencies and teacher qualification. It is based on the theories of student-centred learning, project learning, social skills, etc., but the paper covers the practical implications and ways of implementation of these items in a current design process of a new study programme: In the course of the Bologna process the mechanical engineering study programme of RWTH Aachen University has encountered a complete and thorough revision responding to the need of present-day technical students and—accordingly—to the fast-growing requirements of the engineering industry. This change process will be presented. A case study from engineering informatics shows concepts for modern teaching methods, responding to the requirements of students and industry, especially regarding social skills. Teaching competencies have to change and grow accordingly. Thus, a concept for the improvement of educational skills and abilities of engineering teachers—integrated into their work process—is demonstrated.     

基于混合学习的《远程教育》课程教学改革研究

教育技术学本科专业《远程教育》课程的教学一直是值得探讨的问题。在多年教学实践和研究的基础上,我们采取混合学习方式对该课程进行了教学改革,得到了较好的效果。在分析学生学习特征并进行调查的基础上,我们进行了在线课堂的设计与开发,最后对混合学习的效果进行了分析。     

网络环境下混合式教学的探索与实施——高校"现代教育技术"公共课教学改革案例

各级学校对教师现代教育技术技能要求的不断提高也对高师院校现代教育技术公共课的教学提出了更高的要求,但由于这门课程带有公共课的性质,多年来教学效果一直不理想。基于此,本文提出了网络环境下混合式教学的探索与实施的改革思路,经过一年多的实践,构建了高师院校"现代教育技术"公共课教学新模式。     

基于智慧树平台的“创造性思维与训练”课程混合式教学实践

依托智慧树平台,该文作者在所在学校选修课"创造性思维与训练"课程教学中采用了混合式的教学,从翻转课堂的应用、课程知识体系的图形化、课程素材资源建设、制作了常用创新方法应用流程表格和考核方式的多样化尝试等方面展示了混合式教学实践过程,对混合式教学过程中存在的问题进行了分析,并提出了有效解决现存问题的措施。     

混合教学模式下教学质量评价研究

随着教育信息化的发展,混合教学模式成为教育领域研究的热点,也成为高校教学改革探索的一种教学模式。本文在简要介绍混合教学模式的基础上,重点对混合教学模式的教学质量评估进行了分析阐述。 综合考虑面授与线上自主学习、过程评价与结果评价,建立混合教学的教学质量评价体系,包括教师质量评价体系和学生质量评价体系,并分析影响教学质量的主要因素。     

《现代教育技术》公共课“混合整合式”教学模式探索

在探讨《现代教育技术》公共课教学现状的基础上,把混合学习应用于课程教学,整合传统课堂教学、网络教学和课内外实践教学三个平台及各种教学资源成为一个有机的整体,尝试提出了"混合整合式"教学模式,并进行了多年的教学实践探索,该模式对《现代教育技术》课程教学具有一定的理论与实践意义。     

基于境脉感知的移动混合式学习系统设计

针对我国现有的混合式学习模式普遍存在适应性不足的问题,本文提出利用移动与无线通信技术和境脉感知技术构建移动混合式学习系统,对系统的结构、功能和关键技术进行了探讨,得出移动混合式学习系统可以利用境脉感知功能获取有关学习者的境脉信息,从而以智能的方式为学习者提供适应性的学习内容与服务。     

Integrating collaborative PBL with blended learning to explore preservice teachers’ development of online learning communities

This study integrated collaborative problem-based learning (collaborative PBL) with blended learning to explore the emerging process and function of online learning communities among preservice teachers. Thirty-two preservice teachers participated in a 16-week instruction program. Analyses of online group discussions and portfolios found that (a) the integrated approach facilitated the preservice teachers’ formation of online learning communities; (b) the preservice teachers’ online learning communities emerged via four stages: motivation and acquaintance, socialization and belongingness, information exchange and consensus, and tacit understanding and development; and (c) six factors influenced the development of the preservice teachers’ online learning communities.     

Optimising the blended learning environment: the Arab Open University experience

This paper will offer some insights into possible ways to optimise the blended learning environment based on experience with this modality of teaching at Arab Open University/Jordan branch and also by reflecting upon the results of several meta-analytical studies, which have shown blended learning environments to be more effective than their face to face and online only counterparts. Three key elements will be presented as important ways for improving the blended learning environment: forging genuine collaborative partnerships between institutions in terms of the team-writing of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) material, adopting a more theoretically based instructional approach, such as the cognitive apprenticeship (CA) model, which emphasises making thinking visible and developing a comprehensive understanding of blended education in order to help students achieve their educational goals.
