高校图书馆人才管理的不利因素及应对策略

目前高校图书馆的人才管理与其他行业一样,存在着诸多问题。总的看来,无非是管理者、被管理者、管理机制三者之间的不协调。该文就这三个方面进行分析,以便清楚地发现图书馆人才管理的症结出在何处,并提出对策。

从分析重点学科在高校发展中的地位、重点学科与图书馆的关系入手,以作者所在的省属地方高校图书馆为例,着重从构建重点学科文献信息资源体系、建设重点学科信息服务体系、技术安全保障三大方面,探讨地方高校图书馆为重点学科建设服务的途径与方法。

书院、王学与宗族社会——以明清安福县识仁书院为中心

明代中叶,在王阳明学说的带动下,各地兴建了大量的书院,使学术广为流播,成为地方显学。安福县作为江右王门学派的重要阵地之一,此一时期讲学活动十分活跃。位于安福县西乡的识仁书院,由刘元卿倡建。该书院最大的特点是与乡族社会有紧密联系。它的兴建端赖于当地各大宗族的积极参与。书院并不以学术见长,其宗旨主要是围绕着“化民导俗”、整合乡族秩序而展开。此外,识仁书院虽名为书院,但其对地方社会的意义并不仅在于其“学”,各大族捐的田产能以书院的名义而免役,是其得以维继的根本;书院的祭祀系统则不仅加强了各族的认同感。并且进一步整合了乡族的力量。清代以后,识仁书院多次重建,然而书院也基本上由原来的学术教育组织,而完全演变为乡族社会组织。     

Educational decentralisation in Zimbabwe and Malawi: A study of decisional location and process

Debates about decentralisation, involving questions such as who should make decisions about public schooling and who should pay for it [Caillods, F., 1999. Preface. In: McGinn, N., Welsh, T. (Eds.), Decentralization of Education: Why, When, What and How? UNESCO, Paris] have permeated and affected educational planning in the last 20 or so years. This paper reports on and draws lessons from two pieces of work: an empirical study on the locus of decentralised decision-making power among Zimbabwean school heads, teachers and parent school governors in the areas of school finances, human resources and curriculum; and on a review of one article on the process of educational decentralisation in Malawi. Cross-national studies are necessary in this age of the internationalisation of education. The paper reveals that the process of educational decentralisation, and stakeholders’ perceptions of the locus of decentralised decision-making power are contested issues. There is no automatic link between decentralisation and the improvement of quality. The level of clarity of the guiding policy (ies), the capacity of the stakeholders, and the availability of resources are important deciders of the success or failure of educational decentralisation.     

Merit-Based Student Aid and Freshman Interstate College Migration: Testing a Dynamic Model of Policy Change

This study examines how state merit-based scholarships individually and simultaneously with prepaid tuition plans influence the interstate migration of college-bound freshmen. State freshman migration percentages were examined over a 10-year period. Results of an interrupted time-series model suggested that students generally respond to merit-based tuition aid in accordance with our initial prediction based on factors influencing student choice in attending postsecondary institutions. More specifically, many students choose to attend an in-state college in order to be eligible for state merit-based scholarships. Moreover, for home states that adopted both merit-based scholarships and prepaid tuition contracts, student out-migration was further reduced over time.

关于多媒体在大学英语教学中的应用

大学英语的发展已进入全新的时期,单一的传统教学手段已不能满足社会对人才素质要求不断提高的现状。在这种情况下,多媒体辅助教学被大量地使用。怎样才能最有效地使用这一现代教学手段？这是当前教育界和学术界极为关注的问题。本文认为,在多媒体辅助教学实践中,应根据多媒体教学的特点,并结合教学目标和学生特点将它与传统教学方式有机的结合,这样才能使其在大学英语教学中发挥真正的作用。
