Social network perspectives reveal strength of academic developers as weak ties

Social network perspectives acknowledge the influence of disciplinary cultures on academics’ teaching beliefs and practices with implications for academic developers. The contribution of academic developers in 18 scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) projects situated in the sciences are explored by drawing on data from a two-year national project in Australia within a case study research design. The application of a social network lens illuminated the contribution of eight academic developers as weak ties who infused SoTL knowledge within teams. Two heuristic cases of academic developers who also linked across networks are presented. Implications of social network perspective are discussed.     

Academic Life-support: The Self Study of a Transnational Collaborative Mentoring Group

In this paper, we examined the collaborative mentoring processes of a transnational network. A narrative approach was employed to explore the mentoring practices and experiences of 19 women involved in the CURVE-Y-FRiENDs (C-Y-F) network. Their mentoring practices go beyond transnational, ethnic, discipline, and university borders. The processes employed in the network can be conceptualized as pathways to professional relationships. The narratives of C-Y-F members illustrated collaborative mentoring as an expression of the personal and professional dimensions of support, which must be part of academic life. Collaborative mentoring relationships and discourse provided a response to the current inconsistencies in faculty mentoring practices and have implications for the ways in which administrations and faculty in general initiate more empathetic structures and procedures that better meet the mentoring needs of women and minority faculty in academia.     

Support for Engaged Scholars: The Role of Mentoring Networks with Diverse Faculty

As internationalization initiatives on university campuses have increased in the past decade, the practice of mentoring diverse scholars has increased. In an exploratory study conducted at a doctoral/research-extensive university in the Midwest, researchers investigated the nature and functions of mentoring and the role of mentoring networks in nurturing the careers of engaged scholars in the teaching and human service professions. The twelve participants in the study self-identified as engaged scholars who (a) have been mentored within a mentoring network throughout their professional careers, and (b) are currently involved in mentoring diverse engaged scholars within mentoring networks. The study findings suggest the benefits of mentoring networks for diverse, engaged scholars and outline the nature of effective mentoring.     

基于等级保护的地方政府网络信息安全告警设计研究

政府网络是在物理通信网络连接的基础上,采用符合Internet技术标准的面向政府机关服务的网络,分为政务内网、外网、WEB网站。政府网络信息安全告警体系建设是具有战略性意义的项目,它的实施对政府机构转变管理职能和工作方式,提高服务管理水平,打造24小时服务型政府、建设高效规范的工作机制产生重要的影响。地方政府网络信息安全告警结合等级保护制度,采用人工神经网络计算模型及建立贝叶斯网络,并运用大规模并行处理和自学习自组织非线性动力学方法,探索出一套统一归一化的、具备五级告警机制的、可量化分析的政府网络信息安全告警体系。     

旅游型社区公民社会责任培育的教育模式与在地实践

当前我国的社区教育注重公民经济利益诉求和技能培训,忽略了公民社会责任的培育,导致一些社区环境破坏、垃圾污染和文化庸俗化问题开始凸显。以公民社会责任培育为任务的社区教育模式,具体有三个实施阶段：社区再学习阶段、社区探究阶段、社区行动阶段,具体论述其教育内容和方法,并以旅游型社区郎村为例进行了在地实践探索。     

Secure and efficient multi-message and multi-receiver ID-based signcryption for rekeying in ad hoc networks

In this paper, the security technology of ad hoc networks is studied.To improve the previous multi-receiver signcryption schemes, an ID-based multi-message and multi-receiver signcryption scheme for rekeying in ad hoc networks is proposed.In this scheme, a sender can simultaneously signcrypt n messeges for n receivers, and a receiver can unsigncrypt the ciphertext to get his message with his own private key.An analysis of this scheme indicates that it achieves authenticity and confidentiality in the random oracle model while being of lower computation and communication overhead.Finally, for the application of our scheme in ad hoc, a threshold key updating protocol for ad hoc networks is given.     

一类非线性复杂网络的混沌动力学行为研究

基于系统最大李雅普诺夫指数的数学计算方法,从网络本身的拓扑结构出发,给出了一类非线性复杂网络对初始状态敏感的充分条件,同时仿真出网络所有李雅普诺夫指数随着时间推移的变化趋势图以及系统状态的相轨迹图,成功实现了网络的混沌反控制。
