改编的内涵界定及其性质分析——兼与重写、改写相比较

在当下的影视文学评论界中,“改编”常常和“重写”、“改写”等词语混杂在一起,意义纠缠不清。改编的内涵可以界定为：以原著为基础,创作出具有表演性质的新作品（改编本的体裁往往和原著不同）。改编不仅是一种满足性接受和还原式理解,还是一个化雅为俗的通俗化过程和传播过程,一个二度创作过程。总之,改编是一种集接受、传播和创作为一体的艺术活动。改写和重写虽也具有这三种性质,但具体来讲,却都和改编有显著的差别。     

Muscle Soreness Following Resistance Exercise With and Without Eccentric Contractions

The present study reported on translating the Exercise Identity Scale (EIS: Anderson &; Cychosz, 1994) into Greek and examining its psychometric properties and cross-cultural validity based on U.S. individuals' EIS responses. Using four samples comprising 33, 103, and 647 Greek individuals, including exercisers and nonexercisers, and a similar sample comprising 800 U.S. individuals, the concurrent validity, factor structure, internal reliability, test-retest reliability, external validity, gender invariance, and cross-cultural validity of the EIS responses were examined using confirmatory factor analytical procedures. The results supported the concurrent validity, an adequate unidimensional factor structure for the translated EIS and the internal reliability and test-retest reliability over a 6-week interval. Further, cross-gender configural, partial metric, partial strong factorial, and partial strict factorial invariance and cross-cultural configural and partial metric invariance supported the cross-cultural equivalence of the EIS versions. Moreover, the external validity of the translated EIS responses was also supported. Overall, the findings supported the validity of the exercise identity construct outside North American boundaries and the EIS items' equivalence, providing initial evidence for its cross-cultural applicability.     

Happiness as a Goal of Counseling: Cross-cultural Implications

The article examines the construct of happiness within the context of counseling and holistic health (body, mind and spirit). It discusses happiness as a goal of counseling as reflected in selected counseling theories that focus on humanistic principles, holistic health, positive psychology, personal growth and the client’s intentional choice-making in life. Moreover, the article considers within-cultural and cross-cultural implications of happiness, and presents recommendations for counseling professionals who counsel clients or train future counselors.     

Metaphysics and learning

Is it possible to learn and simultaneously articulate the metaphysical basis of that learning? In my contribution to the forum I tell of how I came to recognise that bilingual Yoruba children could articulate the contrasting metaphysical framings of Yoruba and English numbering. The story introduces an arena I call 'ontics' that recognises the contingencies of metaphysical commitments in the present. My claim is that learning to recognise and strategically articulate ontics as enacted metaphysical commitments in the present is useful in cross-cultural and transdisciplinary learning and crucial in inquiring into learning.     

广告语言中的类异化与归化现象

在商品跨国销售的同时,随之出现的是广告语言的跨文化定位问题。广告的价值在于实现其呼唤功能,这一实现过程与目标人群的文化背景,民族情感密切相关。可用类似于翻译中的异化、归化方法来处理广告中的文化问题,不过这里的异化、归化具有更广泛的意义。     

公示语汉英翻译心理世界的顺应分析

依据维索尔伦的顺应论,语言使用过程即选择过程,是在不同意识程度下在语言结构与语境之间做出动态顺应的过程。受顺应论启发,公示语汉英翻译也是一个在语言结构和语境之间做出动态顺应的过程。在翻译过程中,译者不仅要考虑到制约语言选择的语言因素,还要考虑到语境因素,考虑语境因素中的心理世界则要顺应目的语读者的思维模式、审美标准、心理感受和心理需求,这样,才能让翻译出来的公示语达到交际目的。     

A cross-cultural investigation into how tasks influence seatwork activities in mathematics lessons

This study examined how types of tasks influenced student activities/thinking and defined the role of Seatwork in mathematics lessons. It used 60 lessons from the TIMSS videotaped Study. These data indicated that practice was the most prevalent form of tasks in the U.S. In Germany, students completed mathematical calculations after a complex problem-solving segment. In Japan, teachers combined practice of routine procedures in Seatwork with opportunities to prepare material, think about problems, and explore concepts. Findings expand our understanding of how tasks organize learning opportunities and effect how students come to understand mathematics.     

Cultural Adaptation in Tim Winton’s "Neighbors"

As the most productive and prestigious writer in contemporary Australian literature,Tim Winton is noted not only for his novels but also for his short stories.Neighbors is a case in point.The short story describes the daily trivial incidents in the multi-cultural background according to the line of a newly-weds moving to a new neighborhood.The young couple gradually understood and communicated with their neighbors and eventually achieved cultural adaptation.

作为对外交流和宣传的重要工具,新闻报道的翻译变得越来越重要。为了增加新闻报道的可读性和趣味性,新闻报道中经常使用由东西方不同社会经济文化差异而形成的文化专有项,译者在新闻报道文化专有项翻译活动中表现出文本和文化构建的能动性。文章试图从Jef.Verschueren语用顺应理论视角探讨新闻翻译中存在的问题,及译者在新闻翻译中发挥的主体性作用。由于语言具备变异性、商讨性、顺应性的特点,译者在商贸新闻翻译中从可供选择的项目中做出灵活的变通和选择,从而使新闻翻译能够做到既准确传达又让国外受众喜闻乐见。     

国际商务环境下的西方跨文化管理理论评析

商业世界瞬息万变,商业往来使整个世界日益相互依赖。全球性思维模式要求管理者"思维全球化,行为当地化"。同时,企业预期目标的实现情况,在于能否利用文化的融合和能否消除文化差异带来的弊端。只有树立跨文化的思想路线,建立一种多元化、包容性的企业文化,才能使跨国企业的管理顺利进行。这是经济全球化环境下跨国企业面临的共同课题。在目前企业经营国际化的形势下,只有明确跨文化商务管理的理论根源,才能使跨国企业在激烈竞争的实践中立于不败之地。
