"草根书评"的文化现象研究

通过阐述"草根书评"的释义和兴起原因,分析其种类形式和对读者的引导情况,与常规书评进行优劣势比较,点明"草根书评"是书评文化新兴的、重要的组成,应与常规书评互为补充,共同推进书业发展和提升国民阅读.     

我国文化金融研究领域文献分析——来自2002-2016年CSSCI来源数据库的证据

随着文化产业的快速发展,文化金融成为新兴的研究领域。本文选择2002-2016年CSSCI数据库收录的文化金融相关研究文献,运用词频统计法、可视化知识图谱法、内容分析法等多种文献计量研究方法全面分析国内有关金融支持文化产业发展的研究现状。研究发现:现阶段有关金融支持文化产业发展的研究文献逐年增加,分布期刊和研究机构众多,研究范围较广,研究内容包含国际经验比较、经验分析和实证分析;但目前该领域的研究主题相对分散,研究不够深入,缺乏微观数据支撑和模型研究,缺乏构建金融支持体系操作层面的分析,缺乏对具象产业的差异化分析,这些是未来进一步研究的方向。     

北美中国研究图书馆员共同体的形成与维系

北美中国研究图书馆员专业知识的积累和对中国文化的认同,形成了他们进行知识服务、学术研究与文化传播的核心竞争力。他们既在北美图书馆界提供中文文献资源服务,又在海外中国研究领域进行学术活动,对中国文化在海外的传承与发展起到了积极作用。北美中国研究图书馆员在职业身份、学术追求和文化背景等方面的共同认知,促生了中国研究图书馆员学会,这一专业组织的出现,标志着北美中国研究图书馆员共同体的正式形成。本文立足于海外中国研究和“文化中国”的学术背景,从共同体的形成和维系角度,对中国研究图书馆员及中国研究图书馆员学会进行了系统考察,希望在呈现北美中国研究图书馆员共同体发展历史与现状的同时,揭示出这一共同体对于中国图书馆服务转型和文化软实力提升的学术价值与现实意义。图3。表6。参考文献40。     

End of the English (British?) Empire? Or Something Else?

The paper analyzes best-seller lists in seven major European book markets between April 2008 and March 2009. The paper’s authors introduce the concept of an impact factor for best-selling authors that shows how influential an author is in a given market and across the analyzed markets overall. The paper’s authors discovered that a new generation of European best-selling authors appeared in major book markets of Europe such that those not writing in English have an impact of almost twice that of the English writers. Furthermore, the authors have discovered that only veteran English or American best-selling authors tend to be published by big media conglomerates; the majority of the European best-selling authors were published by a surprising mix of big and small, independent and international publishing houses. It is striking that English as the most popular second language in the world did not play a stronger role as an intermediary language in the transmission of books from one European culture to another, as European publishers in major markets still employ editors who read a variety of languages and thus play the role of intermediaries in how books travel from one culture to another.

Enacting Cultural Identities in Conversation: Managing Collaboration in Two Nonprofit Organizations

As they conduct the practical work of collaborating during meetings, nonprofit stakeholders construct, negotiate, and manage identities. In this article we use membership categorization analysis to explore how meeting participants avow and ascribe cultural identities during collaborative meetings in two nonprofit organizations. Examination of identification practices, including employing labels for ethnic categories and implicating cultural identities through category-relevant predicates—which are part of the practical work of collaborating in nonprofit organizations—can serve as an aid to understanding how stakeholders negotiate interorganizational collaboration in social interaction.     

Selection models in the music industry: How a prior independent experience may affect chart success

The is article analyses the two main approaches for artists’ selection in the recording industry: the direct model in which large major companies directly choose new artists from the supply market, and the agency model in which small independent labels realise the first choice and, subsequently, large organisations pick their new artists among those pre-selected by independents.An empirical analysis of chart sales reveals that artists selected through the agency model exhibit a longer presence on the chart due to repeated successes, while they are slower to reach heavy success once they have entered the chart. Conversely, the direct model leads to artists with a faster path to a strong success, but the same artists have a shorter presence on the chart due to the sporadic nature of their success. The profile of artists selected through these two models is also found to be different: big international soloist stars are more frequently selected through the direct model, while national bands are more frequently selected through the agency model.The insights suggest important implications for management in the cultural industries and especially in the recording industry. Color characterization of roofing slates from the Iberian Peninsula for restoration purposes

Substitution of slate roofing tiles is a conventional operation during building restoration, since tiles are very difficult to restore or clean because of the high degree of alteration they suffer. Criteria for replacement of historical building stones must be based on geological, geotechnical and esthetic parameters, among which color is of great importance. In this sense, this paper constitutes a comprehensive and useful colorimetric study of roofing slates from the Iberian Peninsula, for the purposes of restoration. The color of 50 commercial varieties of roofing slate mined in quarries from the 12 mining districts in the Iberian Peninsula was analyzed with a spectrophotometer device, by considering the CIELAB color space. The results of the study were used to develop a protocol for characterizing the color of roofing slate and to define the color range of roofing slate from the Iberian Peninsula. In addition, the similarities and differences in the color and microstructure of the different commercial varieties of Iberian roofing slate were established and the limit of acceptability of replacement of one type of slate by another was determined. Parameter h_ab was found to be the most important CIELAB color coordinate as regards the formation of homogeneous color groups, and the specular component excluded (SCE) mode was most sensitive as regards detecting color differences between two samples.
