本文从当代文献检索课存在的问题着手,指出信息素质教育与文献检索课整合的必要性,提出如何按L.Dee Fink的整合课程设计模型进行整合设计及整合过程中应注意的一些问题。

Theoretically Speaking: An Examination of Four Theories and How They Support Writing in the Classroom

Writing is complex, and the more researchers understand the cognitive processes and engagement for writing, the more complex the relationships between cognition and producing writing appear. Writing theory is constantly shifting from a focus on mechanics and form to a focus on creativity and sociability. This literature review analyzes four leading theories for writing instruction: the cognitive processes theory, the sociocultural theory, social cognitive theory, and ecological theory. To demonstrate how these theories develop into practice, strategies supporting each theory and classroom examples are provided.     

Education and the working-class girl of the 1970s: reconstructing the theoretical field of Carolyn Steedman’s The Tidy House

This article asks historians of education to think about the influences that we bring to bear on our work. It uses, as an example, Carolyn Steedman’s book The Tidy House: Little Girls Writing (1982). The Tidy House set out to interpret a short story written by three primary school girls in Britain in 1976. Steedman contextualised this source against the backdrop of modern children’s writing and childhood experience in nineteenth- and twentieth-century Britain. Viewing the book itself as a source, this article explores the intellectual background (the ‘theoretical field’) that gave its ideas meaning. This involves looking at the historiographical surroundings of the author, such as Marxism and feminism, in a wider lens. It also entails a consideration of how The Tidy House relates to educational thought today – as well as to key issues tackled by some of the most celebrated historians of education in the last 40 years.

巧用摘抄,彰显文采

改变中学生文辞贫乏毫无文采的有效途径之一是摘抄。指导学生摘抄,首先要教会他们摘抄哪些内容,并学会判断、辨别摘抄句主要用于哪些方面的题材。巧用摘抄句的窍门是：1.直接照搬,2.加前缀或者后缀,3.灵活运用适度删减和变化,4.仿句式套用。引用摘抄句时的注意事项：1.一定要有一根线把摘抄的内容引到自己的文章中来。2.加前后缀时,句子一定要注意和摘抄句的衔接自然。通过这种方法的指导,学生能在摘抄时有方向、使用时有方法。在有效运用摘抄的同时,自己加以细细体会,斟酌、增减,久而久之,无形中就能慢慢地把原来简单地照搬换化为一种语言能力,写出自己的感悟来,有效地提高了作文文采。

认知心理学研究的图式理论已被广泛应用于高中英语阅读和听力教学之中,并且取得了良好的教学效果。文章试从语言图式、内容图式、形式图式等三个维度来探讨高中英语写作教学中图式理论的应用,以期切实提升高中学生英语写作的总体水平。     

Which components of working memory are important in the writing process?

This study investigated the relationship between components of working memory (WM) and the macrostructure (e.g., planning, writing, and revision) and microstructure (e.g., grammar, punctuation) of writing. A battery of WM and writing measures were administered to 160 high-school students. Overall, hierarchical regression analyses showed that the central executive component of WM significantly predicted planning, writing, and revision as well the majority of microstructure measures. The results further validate the importance of WM in the writing process, but indicate that writing process is more intricately tied to the controlled attention component of WM when compared to storage of information.
