Promoting teachers’ algebraic reasoning and self-regulation with metacognitive guidance

This study investigates algebraic reasoning and self-regulation skills among elementary school teachers who participated in a professional development program either with IMPROVE metacognitive questioning (PD + Meta) or with no metacognitive guidance (PD). Sixty-four Israeli teachers participated in a 3-year program designed to enhance mathematical knowledge. Results indicated that the PD + Meta teachers outperformed the PD teachers on various algebraic procedural and real-life tasks regarding conceptual mathematical explanations. In addition, the PD + Meta group outperformed the PD group in using self-monitoring and evaluation strategies in algebraic problem solving. We discuss educational and practical implications.     

Infusing assessment into mathematics content courses for pre-service elementary school teachers

The present study aims to explore the use of assessment in mathematics content courses for future elementary school teachers. Analysis of self assessment data on mathematical understanding and peer assessment data on oral mathematical presentation showed that pre-service teachers had a balanced understanding of procedural knowledge and problem solving. Conceptual understanding was not in the structure of pre-service teachers’ mathematical knowledge. Understandings of conceptual knowledge, procedural knowledge, and problem solving had no meaningful effects on gains in mathematics performance. Aspects of oral mathematical presentation were associated with improved understanding of procedural knowledge and in particular conceptual knowledge. The result of the study calls for a conceptual approach to mathematical knowledge and sufficient mathematical problem solving in college-level mathematics content courses and in particular the infusion of assessment into college-level mathematics education for pre-service teachers.     

六安市第三产业内部结构和竞争力分析

利用2004—2007年六安第三产业统计数据与钱纳里标准比较,表明六安第三产业还存在一定差距,选取具有代表性部门——运输邮电仓储、批发零售、餐饮住宿、金融、房地产、旅游等——作为研究对象,采用偏离份额分析法,详细分析了六安第三产业的内部各部门结构和竞争力。分析得出结论,六安第三产业部门中,只有房地产增长速度和竞争力较强,而金融业发展速度慢,无竞争力,其他部门发展速度较慢,有一定的竞争优势。     

高职专业结构与区域产业结构的对接研究——以湖北职业技术学院为例

文章论述了高职专业结构与区域产业结构对接的重要性和必要性;分析了湖北职院专业结构现状及湖北省和孝感市三大产业结构现状;针对区域经济、社会发展的要求,结合学院背景、发展过程和专业特色,提出专业设置和发展的一些建议。

在比喻的深层有思维结构和信息结构,以此为基础,用演绎法可推导出表层有15类64种基本的结构模式;比喻的深层结构和表层结构形成了五个不同层次的比喻同义世界系统,其中有潜比喻和显比喻、零度比喻和偏离比喻。     

应用型课程改革实践——以“数据结构”为例

应用型课程是应用型高校转型的关键,是实现应用型人才培养的主渠道。“数据结构”是计算机专业的核心课程,在整个专业课程体系中处于承上启下的核心地位。通过分析目前“数据结构”课程教学中存在的问题,遵循“应用型课程建设七要素”,提出基于“工作过程系统化”的应用型本科院校“数据结构”课程体系教学改革,并从课程定位、课程设计、课程实施、课程考核与评价几个方面阐述了应用型教学改革实践。

新加坡十分注重道德教育并取得了较好的效果,通过分析新加坡小学《公民与道德教育课程标准》（2007）的主要特点,进一步指出新加坡小学道德教育对推动我国小学道德教育课程改革和发展的积极作用。

数学是一门与生活紧密相连的学科,俗语有云:“学会数理化,走遍全天下。”其中数学位于首位,足以见得数学知识能够很好地解决实际问题。利用生活化教学策略进行数学教学,能够让小学生对数学内容产生一定的学习兴趣与好奇心,并且能够有效提升学生对数学知识的重视程度,学生愿意主动学习数学,其综合能力才能够有效提升起来。为了实现上述教学效果,本文主要研究小学数学教学生活化的有效策略。
