Self-perception of emotional development in individuals attending university programmes for seniors: training needs and answers

In older adults, emotional competencies become the most important reason to preserve quality of life. In this study we focused on Emotional Intelligence in a group of older adults. by means of examining the relationship between perceived emotional competencies and sociodemographic variables. A total of 255 older participants (72.2% women), mean age?=?64.59 years old (SD?=?5.82, range?=?52–83 years old), who attended the University of the Experience in Salamanca (Spain), were evaluated. Information on sociodemographic data, perceived health and motivation to take part in university programmes, and perceived emotional competence was collected using self-reported questionnaires. Results show significant differences, mainly in relation with sex and perceived health in various areas of emotional competence. These results open the way to design and implement quality intervention programmes that enhance social-emotional skills and personal and social well-being to improve quality of life of older people.     

The Egyptian protest movement in the twittersphere: An investigation of dual sentiment pathways of communication

During the course of the Egyptian civil movement in 2011, excessive suppression of the protesters caused a great deal of humanitarian concerns across the world. Egyptian protesters were supported not only in the Arabic-speaking world, but also throughout the English speaking world. The Twittersphere¹ became a valuable arena for individuals to communicate amongst each other regarding important social movement issues. This paper is a study of the communication on Twitterverse consisting of both English and Arabic tweets and the sentiments expressed therein during the Egyptian protest movement. We focus on the research questions: what sentiments of Tweeters relate to signals of protest communication?, and how do protest related tweets in two languages in the Twitter sphere, that are a proxy of two different and important cultural groups, compare with each other? In order to understand the protest communications in Twittersphere, we examine a dual pathways model that relates to emotional and goal related sentiments. We apply this model to examine the online protest in Egypt. Our findings reveal the emotions and goal related sentiments that are fundamental for intention to protest across the two languages. We find that anger, fear, pride and hope were the prime sentiments regarding intention to or support of protest, regardless of language.     

网络舆情监控算法分析与研究

对现有的网络舆情监控算法进行梳理,将其归纳为经典算法和拓展算法,分析这些算法的优缺点和常见算法的性能对比,整理部分专家学者对这些监控算法的优化改进研究情况并对其研究成果进行分析。从技术、管理、应用等三个角度评价现有网络舆情监控算法的优化改进环节和取得的成效,并指出现有网络舆情监控算法存在的问题主要集中在只基于文本、针对单一数据类型、没有考虑事件和用户的差异化特点和动态变化情况、缺乏综合监控体系思维和管理机制等方面。进而从网络舆情的特点、发展规律、驱动因素、现有监控算法不足、监控效果期望等角度探讨未来网络舆情监控算法的发展趋势。

亲社会行为对员工创新绩效的双刃剑效应——基于情绪的中介作用及领导-成员交换关系的调节作用

本研究结合工作要求-资源模型和领导-成员交换理论,基于607份在职员工的多时段配对数据,构建亲社会行为通过影响自身情绪资源的消耗及获取,进而影响员工创新绩效的理论模型,并验证了领导-成员交换关系在这一过程中的作用。研究发现：实施亲社会行为会获得情绪资源从而产生积极情绪,但其也会消耗情绪资源使员工感到情绪耗竭；积极情绪和情绪耗竭中介亲社会行为对员工创新绩效的影响；领导-成员交换关系能够调节亲社会行为与情绪之间的关系强度。
