In support of sport: Examining the relationship between community sport organizations and sponsors

Sponsorships are a critical resource for nonprofit community sport organizations (CSOs) that are increasingly experiencing pressure to generate funding beyond their traditional source of membership revenues. In order to optimize this alternative source, it is important to understand the nature of the relationship between CSOs and sponsors and its impact on those clubs. Scales were developed, and presidents of CSOs (N = 189) completed a corresponding survey that measures the extent to which clubs’ relationship with their key sponsor was characterized by various elements of the relationship process and relationship outcomes. Operational competence was a consistent predictor of the impact of the sponsor relationship on club program/operations and community presence, and further enhanced the impact of long-standing sponsorships. Notably, operational competence was perceived to be required to a lesser extent in CSO–sponsor relationships than in the other process elements. Implications for effective CSO–sponsor relationships and directions for future research are presented.

Factors influencing electronic health record adoption by physicians: A multilevel analysis

In Canada, the healthcare system remains paper-laden, and EHR adoption by physicians lags behind many other industrial countries. Recent reviews identified individual and organizational factors as having the most important influence on EHR adoption and proposed taking a multidimensional perspective to study these adoption determinants. However, most studies have focused on physician EHR adoption measured at the individual level.ObjectivesFirst, we used a multilevel regression model to assess whether organizations' characteristics influenced physician behavioral intention to use EHR. Second, we sought to identify individual and organizational factors that explain physician intention.MethodsWe conducted a prospective cross-sectional study among physicians in 49 primary healthcare organizations in four regions of the province of Quebec (Canada). We first analyzed relationships between individual and organizational variables and intention. Second, we performed multilevel modeling to explore organizational characteristics' impact on physician intention to use EHR.Results278 completed questionnaires were returned from the 31 organizations that had at least 5 participants (response rate: 39.8%). Questionnaires showed satisfactory psychometric properties. The multilevel modeling found no significant overall influence of organizational level on physician intention to use EHR. Second, six of the individual level constructs had a positive and strongly significant impact on physician intention.ConclusionIn the Quebec context, organization-level seems to have no significant impact on EHR adoption by physicians. Hence, particular strategies are more likely to succeed if they target individual physicians rather than organizations.     

Determining factors in the success of R&D cooperative agreements between firms and research organizations

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the impact of a series of contextual and organizational factors on the success of 800 cooperative agreements between Spanish firms and research organizations, run between 1995 and 2000. Findings show that the most outstanding factors are, in the case of firms, commitment, previous links, definition of objectives and conflict, whereas for research organizations previous links, communication, commitment, trust and the partners’ reputation are more relevant. These study not only provides a comprehensive theoretical model to analyze the success of these agreements but is useful both for improving management of cooperation and for fostering collaboration both at a national an international level.     

中国非政府组织立法60年回顾与反思

新中国成立后,中国非政府组织立法从单纯的行政法规发展到宪法、法律、法规、规章等多层级立法体系,从单纯的社会团体规范发展到社会团体、民办非企业单位和基金会规范等多类型规范,从单纯的非政府组织登记管理和日常管理发展到非政府组织登记管理、日常管理、税收管理、内部治理、社会监督等多维度管理,从单纯的监督管理发展到培育发展和监督管理并重的机制。但同时也存在诸多问题。其中既有立法理念上的,也有立法框架和技术上的。因此,有必要在树立非计划思维的理念以及权利本位理念的前提下,在完善管理法的基础上,实现上下位法的配套衔接,加强非政府组织激励立法,优化非政府组织监督管理立法结构。     

中共90年来领导人民抗灾救灾的经验研究

我国是一个自然灾害频繁而又严重的国家,中国共产党从成立至今,领导人民群众抗灾救灾也一直没有停止过,其中基层党组织在抗灾救灾中始终发挥着战斗堡垒作用,并且积累了丰富的经验。本文在对90年来基层党组织抗灾救灾的经验进行分析梳理的基础上,从指导思想、根本方法、组织模式、内在动力、制度保障等方面对经验分别进行了归纳总结。     

广西农民合作组织一体化发展研究

针对目前广西农民合作组织遇到的发展不足的问题、农民合作组织的外部发展战略问题,以及广西农民合作组织之间的联合发展问题,探讨了广西农民合作组织的外部发展战略,通过农民合作组织的横向一体化和纵向一体化的发展方式,解决现阶段广西农民合作组织发展的资金问题、人力资本的投资问题、合作社内部治理问题。     

试论党组织在高校危机管理中的作用

在高校危机管理中如何发挥党组织在思想政治工作的作用已成为目前高校迫切需要研究和解决的问题。文章从发挥党组织在高校危机管理中的引领作用和保障作用等方面分析了高校危机事件发生的原因,提出了以高校党建思想政治工作为载体,加强危机意识教育,在思想上构筑起应对各种风险的“防火墙”,在管理上构建起快速高效的政治保障、组织保障和思想保障等对策。
