In this critical review of literature, we summarize the major theoretical frameworks that have been used to study teacher mobility. In total we identified 40 teacher mobility studies that met our inclusion criteria. We conclude that relatively few theoretical frameworks have been used to study teacher mobility and those that have been used are lacking in several key areas. Specifically, none of the current teacher mobility theories are able to adequately account for the many teacher- and school-level factors that likely influence teachers’ professional decisions. Finally, we suggest a theoretical framework from the organizational psychology literature that can address the shortcomings of theories identified in this review. 相似文献

当员工离职成为知识经济时代企业的一种常态时,企业要做的不再仅仅是针对个案进行管理,而丛须上升到组织战略的高度,建立一整套针对核心员工保留的战略人力资源管理体系,提高企业核心员工的留职意愿.通过实证研究发现,战略人力资源管理四大构成要素均会对员工的留职意愿产生显著影响,但影响程度和影响途径存在较大差异;而且,战略人力资源管理实践还可以通过提高员工的工作满意度及其组织承诺度对员工的留职意愿产生复杂的间接影响.理眄论分析与实证结果相结合,深入揭示了战略人力资源管理对员工留职意愿的内在影响机理. 相似文献

During the fall of 2012 and spring of 2013, two librarians from the University of Kansas Libraries conducted a citation analysis of faculty publications in three broad disciplinary areas: humanities, social sciences, and science. The main purpose of research was to find out if the library provides adequate support to faculty researchers. The authors confirmed that KU Libraries provide access to the majority of items used by campus researchers. In addition, the findings will be used in collection management decisions, such as demand driven acquisition. This study examines the relationships among workload, news autonomy, burnout, job satisfaction, and turnover intention among Taiwanese reporters. Results of a survey of 1,099 reporters indicate that workload and news autonomy were significantly associated with burnout. In addition, burnout was found to be negatively related to job satisfaction, which in turn had a significant effect on turnover intention. The results not only highlight the important role of workload and news autonomy in predicting burnout, but also extend previous research on journalist burnout by showing that job satisfaction acts as a mediator in the relationship between burnout and turnover intention. 相似文献

对湖北、湖南、浙江、江苏等省部分高等院校的280名体育教师的组织承诺,离职意愿及职业生涯发展阶段进行了调查。有效数据被试247名,男性占68%,女性占32%;平均年龄34岁。对有效数据进行多元回归分析,表明普通高校体育教师职业生涯发展的第2阶段(在适应成长阶段),规范承诺能够有效地预测离职意愿;在职业生涯发展的第3阶段(即在快速发展阶段),情感承诺能够有效地预测离职意愿。因此,在体育教师的适应成长阶段提高其规范承诺、在快速发展阶段提高其情感承诺可降低其离职意愿,这将为高校体育院系的有效管理提供一定的依据。 相似文献

Reflective peer coaching is a formative model for improving teaching and learning by examining intentions prior to teaching, then reflecting upon the experience. The goal of reflective peer coaching is to promote self-assessment and collaboration for better teaching and ultimately better learning. There are obvious benefits to colleagues collaborating and sharing ideas, thoughts, and observations. However, many models of assessing teaching effectiveness focus on summative evaluation in which colleagues observe each other once or twice a year and fill out institutional evaluation forms. Rarely do colleagues engage in formative conversations about teaching that are guided by the instructor's personal goals and objectives. Reflective peer coaching necessitates a ten-minute planning conversation prior to the actual lesson and a ten-minute reflective conversation after the lesson. These conversations happen regularly and frequently to build self-awareness and self-assessment of the personal craft of teaching. The following article outlines the dynamics of the reflective peer coaching process as a formative assessment model that leads to better learning through improved teaching. 相似文献

In order to operate effectively and efficiently, most higher education institutions depend on employees performing extra-role behaviours and being committed to staying with the organisation. This study assesses the extent to which organisational identification and employee satisfaction are antecedents of these two important behaviours. Key objectives of the research were to identify possible antecedents of organisational identification and to discover whether the consequences of organisational identification vary among the employees of multinational universities at home and foreign campuses. We developed a model that was tested using structural equation modelling, which assesses the influences of organisational identification on employee satisfaction, extra-role behaviours and turnover intentions. All of the paths in our model were significant, but employee identification, satisfaction and extra-role behaviours were lower at foreign branches than at the home campuses of universities, and turnover intentions were higher. These results suggest that higher education institutions need to implement different human resource strategies at home and foreign branches, with a focus on improving organisational identification at the foreign subsidiaries. 相似文献
