ABSTRACT

This study explored preservice teachers’ (PSTs) perceived competencies and weaknesses in regard to working with a diverse range of students’ families, as well as what contributes to their level of preparedness to serve different family types. A sample of 25 Elementary Education PSTs completed surveys and participated in interviews related to their family-related coursework and experiences, memories of home-school connections, and future plans to connect with students’ families. Numeric frequencies of responses showed that PSTs felt the most prepared to serve traditional (‘nuclear’) families and the least prepared to serve divorced, single and same-sex parents. A thematic analysis revealed a contrast between participants who simply desired to serve and those who felt ready to serve different family types. Participants also rejected the notion of a ‘normal’ family, while simultaneously using heteronormative language when discussing different family types. 研究采用情景对话、重复、强化等方法,对一名自闭症儿童进行了为期三个月的代词使用训练,以培养其对代词的理解与运用能力,发展其口语表达能力。研究结果发现:经过针对性的训练,自闭症儿童能够获得代词运用能力;自闭症儿童对“我”、“你”等需要转换成“你”、“我”等来回答的代词及对“怎么样”、“谁”等需要判断才能回答的代词掌握起来相对缓慢,对“他”、“这”、“那”等不需转换可直接使用的代词则掌握较快;自闭症儿童对人称代词、疑问代词及指示代词的掌握是同步的。  相似文献

在道教文化的影响下,李白从神仙道教的角度驾驭神仙题材来传达其思想感情,吸收《楚辞》游仙的精神内核与表达形式,突破了六朝以来一味升登求仙而企慕长生的游仙题材与颇为单纯的游仙意象,结合自身遭遇,融合现实时事,在浓烈的性情中涂抹上相当个性化的梦幻色彩。在诗人“仙”气弥漫的梦幻世界里,别具三种游仙文化形态,即:超凡之人、奇幻之境与至诚之情,同时又创造了“以幻写仙”、“以梦写仙”与“以游写仙”的三种抒写游仙世界的新异模式,呈现出丰富多彩的游仙面貌与深刻意境。其才力之大、想象力之丰、个性之显,无愧“诗仙”之名,而其广阔的堂庑,既为道教神仙世界努力拓展人性化的空间,也为游仙诗史竖起了一座继往开来的丰碑,具有不朽的诗学价值与审美意义。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

This study explored the experiences of communication and collaboration of parents with the teachers of their children with special educational needs (SEN). In this investigation in the Bhutanese context, 26 parents (13 fathers and 13 mothers) of children with SEN, either fully or partially included in 3 schools with SEN programmes in Bhutan located in urban, semi-urban, and rural regions in Bhutan were individually interviewed. The interview data were recorded, transcribed, and analysed using both manual thematic coding semantic mapping and text mining analysis (Leximancer). The majority of parents (n?=?21/26) were found to have either minimal or no communication or collaboration with the school. It was mainly a few mothers (n?=?4), and no fathers, who reported consistent communication and collaboration with the school, whose children were partially included in the schools and had high support needs. The findings have implications for building channels of communication and collaboration between parents and school staff in order to support their children with SEN in Bhutan.  相似文献

Abstract

Purpose: Communication for Development (C4D) is a new academic discipline and profession for addressing human dimension concerns in development, such as local participation, integration and capacity building, which are the main issues limiting aid effectiveness. However, my experience in Malawi, one of the poorest countries in Africa and where a multitude of international development experts attempt to bring about change have, perhaps, never heard about C4D. When the concept was explained, these officials felt C4D was precisely what Malawi and developing countries, need. It left me feeling that the success rate of poverty-reduction programming could be greater if C4D education was provided for development decision-makers and field staff, especially agricultural extension workers.

Design/methodology/approach: The paper is a critical review of the literature on the role of agricultural extension education in development, focusing on how C4D can strengthen extension performance.

Findings: The study found that development policymakers in Malawi, governmental, nongovernmental, bilateral and multilateral, support the C4D idea once they become knowledgeable about it.

Practical implications: Therefore, the practical implication is that educating policymakers about C4D will increase donor investments in pilot C4D projects, a strengthening of agricultural extension systems, and success of poverty-reduction programs.

Originality/value: It is hoped that readers will find the C4D strategy stimulating, the author's experience enlightening, and the C4D proposal an innovative way of improving aid effectiveness.  相似文献
