论媒介地理学的发展历程与学科建构

媒介地理学是一门研究人类同媒介、地理的相互关系及其互动规律的学科。媒介地理学关注地理因素对媒介形态的影响以及媒介对地理样本的建构。一方面,不同的地理环境对媒介的形态与个性有着深刻的影响,另一方面,媒介凭借其对地理的命名与叙述,使真实地理的呈现充满了想象与虚构。从媒介地理学的学科渊源来看,它发端于文化地理学,从文化地理学形成的那天开始,媒介地理学也就诞生了。在研究方法上,举凡实证研究、批判研究、质化研究与量化研究等各种研究方法都应该成为媒介地理学常用的研究范式,借鉴地理学的“空间分析”方法,将有助于探讨媒介的“空间再现”和“地理想象”问题,建构起媒介地理学的学科理论。     

Spatializing higher education: Emirati women learners’ hot and cold spaces

This article is concerned with the types of lived spaces that emerged from exploring Emirati women learners’ spatial experiences in higher education. By conducting an ethnographic qualitative inquiry and by utilizing Lefebvre’s triad of the perceived, conceived and lived space and rhythmanalysis as a theoretical framework, two distinctive categories of the lived space emerged: ‘Hot’ and ‘Cold’ spaces, with their sub-categorizations. These emergent spaces reveal and reflect Emirati women learners’ spatial needs and experiences as manifested through their spatial appropriation and unique rhythms on campus. The findings also extend our understanding and utilization of Lefebvre’s abstract triad, specifically the lived space, and confirm how space is neither abstract nor static, but socially constructed, dynamic as well as culturally and contextually bound. The spatial focus of this study offers a novel way of thinking about women’s experiences and needs in higher education, thus extending the scholarly work on spatializing education.     

弹塑性地基上板壳有限元耦合解法

本文针对工程中常见的弹塑性地基上板壳问题,应用一种有限元耦合计算模型即无界元、三维有限元、板壳单元有限元耦合模型进行分析。在引入一些基本假定后,建立了耦合计算公式,并编制了计算机程序。计算结果表明该模型是合理可行的,可用于工程实践中的实际计算。     

Critical action learning – rituals and reflective spaces

This paper is written to outline our ideas on rituals and reflective places and how this thinking has emerged through our writing, facilitation and reflections around critical action learning and critical leadership. We attempt to show the conceptual framework that underpins our vision of Critical Leadership and how out of this work we have begun to develop new action learning techniques which we believe help to make the action learning we teach and practise, more critical. In describing these concepts of criticality we consider the tripartite elements of each of the three concepts we call Critical Leadership. That is ‘knowing, being, doing’; ‘space, place and pace’ and ‘thinking, feeling, willing’. We then go on to demonstrate how these three concepts helped us to shape our new action learning technique entitled ‘The Coliseum’. We believe that this new action learning technique enhances the likelihood of critical action learning taking place by underscoring key elements such as encouraging feedback, initiating deep listening, promoting challenge and, perhaps, in the end, precipitating enlightenment.
