The issue of bilingualism has been widely explored in the past decades,showing that there are multiple positive effects of"additive bilingualism".Such positive factors are closely linked with children’s cognitive development and intelligence.This paper gives a detailed review on how bilingualism plays a role in children’s divergent thinking ability.Fully taking advantage of such positive effects in language education should be a significant part for bilingual education and foreign language programs.Thus,this paper further discusses the educational implications of these theoretic findings,suggesting that an additive bilingual environment should be cultivated through multiple ways of curriculum and program planning.

The Language Features of Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

As a unique feature of literature, poem brings readers music beauty, image beauty, visual beauty as well as symbolic beauty. Robert Frost is an American contemporary poet who is good at stylistic feature of poems, especially in macroscopic organization, rhetorical methods, grammatical metaphor, vocabulary, rhythmic feature, and semantic relations. Generally, sound is related to phonetics and phonology. Patterns of sound can create melodious effect in poetry, and sometimes a single vowel or consonant will make the verse or even the particular poem significant. Sometimes musical or incantatory effects are achieved through devices such as onomatopoeia, alliteration, assonance and rhythm. A stylistic analysis of Robert Frost’s famous poem"Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening"is given, which mainly focused on its language features. Through the excellent choice of words and organization of sound, Frost makes the simplest pieces into meaningful poems with beautiful melody and brings readers refreshing sense, flatus of life, tranquility and geniality.

目前IT行业的主流语言仍是英语,而整个行业又急需大量既懂专业知识又熟悉英语的复合型高技能人才。在这样的行业需求背景下,为促进计算机专业教学工作,培养具备较强编程能力的高级人才,高校开设C语言程序设计课程双语教学就显得尤为必要。结合黄山学院实际情况,对计算机专业C语言双语教学中教材选取与课时安排、课程考核和双语教学网络平台构建方面进行深入研究与探讨。以期为促进双语教学实施、提高学生的专业素质和英语交流能力起到一定的参考作用。     

内陆开放高地外语人才培养对策探索———以重庆为例

随着内陆开放高地由“大开发”转向“大开放”,重庆经济正在快速国际化,正在形成向西、向南全面深入的对外开放格局,这给区域外语人才培养带来了极大的机遇与挑战。内陆地区外语人才培养相对保守封闭,严重滞后于区域经济发展变化。因此,重庆高校应相应地调整外语人才培养模式、培养理念、语种设置等,当地政府也应制定区域经济快速国际化背景下的外语人才中长期发展规划,实施多元化外语教育政策。重庆是内陆典型中心城市,其案例可以为其他内陆开放高地提供示范和借鉴作用。     

On Translation Errors and Culture Deviations in China English from Angle of Language Inclusivity

Any language must have the inclusivity of its own,otherwise it can hardly get developed. The English language has got the most powerful inclusivity, which makes itself the lingua franca of the world. However, as one of language varieties, China English develops with a lot of translation errors and culture deviations, which makes itself doubtful. As a result, a view comes into being that none errors can be permitted in China English, otherwise China English couldn’t exist. But finally, it turns out that translation errors and culture deviations in China English are acceptable due to the language inclusivity.     

从需求层次理论看外语学习需要——经典理论与本土研究的融合

玛斯洛把人的需求分为五个层次,即生理需求、安全需求、社交需求、尊重需求和自我实现的需求等。这种需求中的某些因素对外语学习动机有一定参考价值,也就是说,外语学习中的主要影响因素是情感需求和认知需求。在外语学习环境下,英语的应用相当有限,无法满足低层次的工具性需求。因此,学生学习的主要驱动力量足由内在兴趣带动的多层次求知需求,即审美需求和自我实现需求。     

Development of German reading comprehension in two-way immersive primary schools

Two-way immersion (TWI) is a variant of the increasingly popular bilingual instruction. Most TWI research lacks longitudinal data or the consideration of background variables to control for possible selection effects. This article examines the development of German reading comprehension of TWI students (N = 984) from fourth to sixth grade compared to conventionally taught students (N = 992). The latent growth curve models showed that immersion students reached the same level of German reading comprehension over the three measurement points, even if background variables like first language, socioeconomic background, and cognitive ability were included. Despite reduced instruction in German, TWI students showed the same reading comprehension level as students in regular instruction while having the advantage of learning an additional language. Although the level of reading comprehension differed between language groups (L1 German speakers, L1 partner language speakers, simultaneous bilinguals), the learning trajectories of reading comprehension were similar.     

基于体认语言观的中小学英语教学

英语教学的最终目的是帮助学习者习得英语语言知识和学会使用英语,学习者对语言学习材料的体验和认知是习得英语的根本路径。体认语言观强调语言兼具体验性和认知性,体验是基础,认知是对体验的高级加工。鉴于小学、初中和高中不同学段学生的体认能力和特点存在差异,中小学英语教学要依此安排教学内容和运用教学方法。小学英语教学要让学生更多地体验语言本体和语言使用,获得对英语的感性认识;初中英语教学要基于对英语语言本体和语言使用的体验,帮助学生形成语言知识,学会使用英语;高中英语教学要加强学生对英语语言本体和使用的认知,探索其中的理据性。
