企业社会责任的本质、形成条件及表现形式

企业社会责任不是抽象的道德和义务．而是社会环境和企业互动关系客观变化的历史趋势。以往被看作单纯追求利润最大化的企业现在何以自动地通过“生产守则”等形式“承担起”社会责任,其原因应该从企业利益实现机制的客观变化等因素中寻找。本文在此方法基础上定义了企业社会责任的本质。充分发育的市民社会、充分发展的垄断以及共有制的普及是企业社会责任的形成条件,三者关系的不同格局产生企业社会责任的三种表现形式;企业社会责任是历史性的存在,在其发展的第三个阶段将扬弃其自身。这时,企业的边界与社会大众的边界重合或融合,作为外部压力的企业社会责任最终成为企业自身的追求。     

A critical reflection on codes of conduct in vocational education

The contemporary cultural context may be seen as presenting a moral void in vocational education, sanctioning the ascendency of instrumental epistemology and a proliferation of codes of conduct, to which workplace actions are expected to conform. Important among the purposes of such codes is that of encouraging ethical conduct, but, true to their informing instrumental epistemology, they tend to assume that ethical conduct is a formal matter: a priori, extrinsic, deductive, universal, determinate, unproblematic, incontestable, constraining and selfless. However, the context may, conversely, be seen as presenting grounds for a very different view of moral conduct as situated: immanent, intrinsic, cultural, contextualised, underdetermined, problematic, contestable, challenging and authentic. There is suggested, then, a need for vocational educators and trainers to develop the knowledge, capability, commitment and confidence to work as situated moral agents in workplaces of codified expectations to which they may be held accountable.

基于变长Turbo码的联合信源信道译码通过构造联合译码平面网格图,具有比比特级译码更好的性能.但平面网格图复杂,使变长Turbo码译码复杂度高.基于此,构造了一个空间网格图,提出基于变长Turbo码的低复杂度联合信源信道译码方法.仿真结果表明,该算法比平面网格图计算复杂度减少约3.8%,在SER(symbol error ratio)为10-4时,获得Eb/N0增益约为0.2dB.     

Enhancing the government service experience through QR codes on mobile platforms

Digital government is universally gaining acceptance as the public becomes more technologically advanced. It is critical for the government to embrace new technology for minimizing costs and maximizing utility of services to the taxpayers. While administrative services have been easily ported to the digital world, there are still many important citizen-centric services that have not yet been effectively migrated. Quick Response codes (QR codes) provide a means to effectively distribute many different varieties of information to the public. We propose to integrate QR code systems and corresponding smartphone applications into existing government services with the goal of providing a new level of interactivity for the public. We illustrate this through two case studies, examining the National Park Services and the Mobile Environmental Information Services (MENVIS). The focus is on developing a QR code waypoint system for park navigation, as well as incentivizing park use through gamification of site attractions. The system provides increased safety for park goers, disseminates information more effectively and accurately, and improves feedback.     

Writing for Publication and the Role of the Library: “Do Have a Cow,Man!” (“Don't Have a Cow,Man”-Bart Simpson)

The aim of this small-scale research project was to identify the main concerns of editors, academics, researchers, and librarians involved in the writing for publication (WfP) process. This would provide library and information services (LIS) staff with a clearer understanding of the process to enable them to articulate and develop their own role in supporting this activity. A novel “one thing” approach was used to determine the perspectives of editors, researchers, librarians, and research students on key issues surrounding WfP. The results indicate that there are many opportunities for LIS staff to contribute to the WfP process. One major concern which emerged was just how isolated researchers could feel. Suggestion: Having a CoW (Community of Writers) in the library could provide a potential LIS role. Another best practice to support WfP is also identified.     

Tracking the History of Romani Publications: Challenges Presented by Flawed Data

Romani is a language of northern Indic origin spoken natively by an estimated 2.5 million people, primarily in Eurasia but also in North America. The history of publication patterns in Romani has not been well documented. Extracting data about this history based on available information in large bibliographic databases such as OCLC WorldCat has been hampered by unfortunate misapplication of certain language codes, making it all but impossible to filter search results efficiently using Romani language as a parameter. The author discusses how he was able to correct much of this inaccurate data in OCLC WorldCat.

文章以卡尔维诺的小说《如果在冬夜,一个旅人》为研究文本,以佛克马的后现代主义理论为理论支撑,从语义场这一特定视角来论述小说后现代叙事代码的运用。通过存在于文本中的五个语义场——同化、加倍与排列、感觉、运动、机械化,探索卡尔维诺对小说形式创新所做的努力及其意义。
