I explain,therefore I learn: Improving students’ assessment literacy and deep learning by teaching

Partnership in higher education emphasises an active role for students in both teaching and learning. This pedagogical culture is likely to make students assessment literate and engage them in deep learning. In this study, Iranian students experiencing learning-by-teaching (LbT) in private language institutes were interviewed to compare their perceptions toward assessment and learning with their counterparts without this experience. Findings show that LbT fosters students’ assessment literacy and deep learning. Results also reveal that by teaching other students, quasi-teachers promote a broader understanding of assessment and grade practices in comparison to other students. Unlike their counterparts, quasi-teachers de-emphasised grades and showed a greater focus on learning. Moreover, explaining the materials to other students provided them with a deeper cognitive process resulting in deeper learning. These results underscore the perceived importance of partnership in higher education.

《计算机网络》课程是一门不断发展的应用型课程,针对当前《计算机网络》教育面临的新形势和新任务,结合宿州学院《计算机网络》教学的实际情况,提出在《计算机网络》课程教学中开展基于混合式学习的教学模式,以推动《计算机网络》教学的深化变革。     

‘Birth work’ accompaniment and PhD supervision: an alternative feminist pedagogy for the neoliberal university

In this paper, we discuss how ‘with-woman’ midwifery and doula care provide resources for rethinking the theory and practice of academic supervision from a feminist perspective. We identify how the tradition of accompaniment in both birth work and academia is under threat given the economic reforms facing public sector education and health care. Despite these pressures, we suggest that the practice of focusing on the pregnant woman as an ‘expert’ on her pregnancy rather than on the foetus or the delivery – that is, the ‘product’ of her pregnancy – would help transform how we theorise and practise academic supervision. The aim of the supervisory relation would mean supporting the student’s direct relation to the intellectual, embodied and emotional process of completing the PhD. Such an approach suggests ways in which the pedagogical practices of contemporary midwifery and doula care can inform academic supervision in the neoliberal university.     

Information and knowledge assessment – Results from a multinational automotive company

This article reports the results from an information and knowledge assessment (IKA) to identify information and knowledge needs and, their coverage by information resources to derive recommendations for improvement and proposes a contingeny framework. The approach is based on a review of audit methods from information sciences and management, knowledge management and the engineering discipline and tested with data (N = 580) collected from the engineering domain within an automotive supplier over six European sites. The integrated assessment uses content needs profiles from two complementary perspectives, the coverage of needs by various internal information sources and data on awareness and usage of these information sources. The employment of content categories on a more granular analytical level than information systems sources opens up new possibilities to derive improvement measures and requirements for the design of information systems within an organization. The brief data-gathering instrument also reduces the required resources to implement this approach considerably overcoming weaknesses previously identified in case studies and the IA literature. It makes a contribution to research bridging the gap between research and practice and opens up options to design contingency frameworks for a specific domain.     

AHKC儿童青少年体力活动评估体系研究

全民健身关系人民群众身体健康和生活幸福,儿童青少年是全民健身工作的重点。本文通过对加拿大儿童青少年体力活动评估体系研究,为我国儿童青少年体力活动促进工作提供借鉴。研究认为：加拿大儿童青少年体力活动评估体系注重多学科研究成果的实践转化,评估指标围绕儿童青少年体力活动生态系统进行构建,评估标准采用标准参照与常模参照相结合的方式,以百分数的形式将评估结果分成若干差别明显的等级水平,评估主体采用第三方评估团队,借用逻辑模型理念进行实施。在此基础上,提出我国构建儿童青少年体力活动评估体系的理由和路径。     

美国在网络主权问题上的立场变化及启示

[目的/意义]在网络空间这个新颖而又无处不在的领域中,主权原则如何运作一直是国家实践和学界理论研究中的硬核问题。厘清美国在该问题上的立场变化对我国参与网络空间国际治理具有积极意义。[方法/过程]利用历史分析法、文献研究法和对比分析法对美国《情报活动中的国际法律问题评估》(1999年)、《网络行动国际法塔林手册2.0》和《在军事行动中使用网络能力的国际法框架》(2017年)进行法律考察。[结果/结论]研究表明,为应对美国在网络主权问题上的立场转变,我国应坚持领土主权原则的拘束力,平等地尊重各国网络主权,并积极参与网络空间国际规则制定的实践,推动网络空间命运共同体理念的国际法构建。     

融资制度运行机制的政府主导特征分析

多年市场化导向的改革使中国许多领域成功地摆脱了计划经济,市场机制对资源配置正在发挥基础作用,但在一些关键领域仍然由国家进行调控,转型经济中融资制度的运行机制就属于这些关键领域。由于国家对计划经济手段的路径依赖以及行之有效的市场手段的缺乏等原因,融资制度的运行机制呈现出典型的政府主导特征,集中表现为信贷计划(信贷总量控制)、价格控制、准入控制和其他直接控制的工具等手段仍发挥着强势作用。     

形成性评估应用于大学英语听力教学的绩效研究

实验研究得知,相较于终结性评估,形成性评估应用于大学英语听力教学不仅能够更为有效地激发和提高学生的学习动力,而且更能有效地提升听力学习绩效;形成性评估更能激发学生的听力学习自主性和合作性,提高其听力自主学习能力和合作学习能力.形成性评估能促使教师转变教学方式,改进听力教学,对提高教学质量和教学绩效有一定的意义.
