约翰·雷《英语谚语集》展示的生活世界

在西方社会中,人们很早就认识到谚语的功能和意义,并有意识地收集谚语。然而随着近代理性主义的兴起,谚语传统一度受到忽视,不仅＂谚语＂（proverb）一词的语义缩减,谚语的语境范围也从广阔的生活世界退守至狭隘的文学与民俗学研究。近年来谚语研究出现新的进展,谚语中包含的博物学思想也逐渐受到重视。本文拟从英国博物学家约翰·雷编写的《英语谚语集》入手,在博物学语境下探讨谚语中展现的生活世界,剖析谚语与博物学的关系。

The passage that John of Joinville, faithful companion of Louis IX, devotes to the Mongols in his chronicle of the Seventh Crusade, known as “La Vie de Saint Louis”, cross-conceives two structures under the sign of hope: historical facts and legends on the one hand, and Christian sensibilities on the other, giving way to a set of “ethnological” observations about what are presented as “barbarian” customs. The text gives a faithful reflection on sentiments which agitated the Crusaders and their King: hope and disillusion. But Joinville's testimony goes far beyond that: it is first and foremost a testimony of love upon which history could be re-written.

Cronus and Their Respective Endings in Disgrace

John Maxwell Coetzee is the winner of Nobel Prize for Literature in 2003 and the winner of two Booker Prizes.Disgrace is one of his great works which depicts a series of disgraceful events between the white and the black in post-apartheid South Africa.The novel is the epitome of analyzing the postcolonialism.The essay uses"cronus",a new concept adopted by Coetzee himself in the novel to analyze various kinds of cronus behavior in it.     

辜鸿铭汉译英诗中的归化翻译———以《痴汉骑马歌》的翻译为例

研究了辜鸿铭的汉译英诗的经典之作《痴汉骑马歌》,分析了辜鸿铭在汉译西方诗歌中的归化翻译,从而揭示了归化策略是译者对读者关照的体现,同时也发现辜鸿铭在英译儒经中的翻译原则同样也存在于辜鸿铭汉译英诗的翻译中。     

形式和内容的统一——约翰·邓恩《歌与短歌集》节律研究

约翰·邓恩作为英国玄学派的代表诗人之一,其诗歌在主题和节律上与其他文艺复兴时期诗人有明显不同。他的诗歌不遵守十四行诗的诗节规范,在音律上大量使用扬抑格和爆破音。正是因为这一独特的写作技巧,邓恩表达出强烈的个人情感,他的诗作在形式和内容上获得了完美统一。     

杜威道德教育理论及对高校德育工作的启示

杜威的“教育即生活”、“学校即社会”等教育观点已经被中国广大教育工作者所了解,但是他的道德教育理论在我国教育界却没有引起足够的重视.实际上,杜威对道德教育的核心问题曾深入进行过探讨,主张道德教育必须贯穿于学校教育的全过程.笔者对杜威道德教育思想的重要理论、主要内涵和现实意义进行阐释,以便发挥其对当前高校德育的积极作用.     

Effects of administrative scheduling and directions upon student ratings of instruction

Using temporal proximity of instructor/course evaluations to critical in-course events, together with psychological set provided via directions, the present investigation sought to assess (1) the appropriateness of within-course time-series analyses for instructor ratings, and (2) the potency of inducing rater perceptions of the rating process as an interactive variable in course evaluations. A 2 × 2 (temporal proximity by psychological set) factorial design used students enrolled in two sections of an undergraduate course in educational psychology as subjects. Using both midterm and final examination time periods as data collection points, the results of this investigation suggested that preexamination instructor/course evaluations tend to be more favorable than postexamination evaluations, and that a specific positive psychological set prior to evaluations tends to produce more favorable evaluations than very general, brief instructions.     

On inserting questions before or after segments of text

It has been concluded in all major reviews of adjunct question research that a group given questions after related text segments (postquestions) yields greater recall than a group given questions before related text segments (prequestions) or one not given any questions at all. However, closer examination of the earlier research and an analysis of recent research reveals that for certain types of verbatim questions and for certain high level questions, postquestions produce recall equivalent to or less than prequestions. Moreover, in many studies wherein postquestions exceed prequestions, the postquestion group equals the reading-only control group in recall of nonquestioned (incidental) material. Hence, despite frequent pronouncements to the contrary, no firm recommendation can be made regarding the optimal placement of adjunct questions in text material.
