The Kantian idea of hope – Bridging the gap between our imperfection and our duty to perfect ourselves

Abstract

This journal recently published a special issue on Kant, evil, moral perfection and education. The essays included in the special issue discussed the vulnerably and imperfection of human beings and the role of education as facilitating such beings in their pursuit of moral perfection. The contribution of this article is to put forward a Kantian idea of hope as a response to the difficulty of holding imperfect agents to an impossibly high standard (perfect virtue). Hope plays an enabling role for human agents, mediating the seemingly unstable relationship between imperfect moral agents, characterised by radical evil, and their duty to elevate themselves to the idea of moral perfection in an uncertain world. As such, hope can be seen as a response to the editors’ call to bring attention to the need to work with the vulnerabilities and imperfections of human beings through education and social change. One practical way in which education can accomplish this task is through role modelling. A further contribution of this article is to advocate a Kantian idea of impure role modelling (the role model as imperfect but hopeful).     

基于莎士比亚十四行诗汉译本的译者主体性分析

莎士比亚十四行诗是世界文学的奇葩,其在中国的受关注程度也很高。接受美学理论强调文本的未定性和读者的能动作用,认为译文读者对译本的接受过程是对文本的再创造过程,在这个过程中文学作品的文学性得以真正实现。因此在文学翻译过程中,译者需依据原语文本的和译语读者的期待视野来弥补原语文本的空白点,从而达到译语文本的最佳接受度。以接受美学理论为基础,对梁宗岱、屠岸和辜正坤翻译的莎士比亚第12首和第29首十四行诗的3个汉译本进行比较和分析,从主题、内容、形式及风格等方面探讨翻译过程中的译者主体性的实现和实现程度。认为梁译的可信度、屠译的可诵性、辜译的可读性分别满足了不同时期不同读者的审美情趣和心理期待,且3位译者都较大程度地在译本里实现了译者的主体性。     

人生美学的自然之思

人生美学一直是中国现代美学所关注的话题。当代人生美学的研究已经从人生美学的基本理论、审美形态向学科层面推进。在已有的研究中,似乎较少关注自然与人生美学的关系。本文提出人生美学的自然之思,其基本观点是,人生即是"向死之生"的自然过程,人生美学的研究似乎应该首先关注人在这个自然过程中的审美需要。从自然出发来审视人生与自然的审美关系是人生美学研究的主要内容。或者说,人生美学的自然之思的中心问题是建造起审美的自然人生,在顺应天地万物运行规律和社会法则的过程中最大限度地追求人生的自由和超越,以满足人生的审美需要。     

从日常生活形象看《死水微澜》的女性空间建构

服饰装扮、饮食起居深刻地参与到《死水微澜》的人物性格塑造和主题情节之中,与个体的精神存在有着本质联系。日常生活形象不仅构成了小说中女性空间的基础,而且暗示了女性空间的精神潜质和价值取向。作家在对日常生活进行叙述的同时,回避了女性在时代风云的激荡下自我意识的觉醒,虽然在很大程度上偏离了意识形态主流话语,却具有超越特定时空的独特的艺术魅力。     

波德莱尔的美学思想初探

波德莱尔的美学理论强调审美主体与自然的应和、美的独立性、从丑恶中发掘美,希望追求现象背后的美及其表现出的无限、永恒之美;他是较早地提出、运用"现代性"概念的美学批评家,他强调了现实的瞬间的美的重要性,其实质是审美现代性,他的现代性理论是其美学思想的重要组成部分;他把自己的美学思想自觉地贯穿于其审美实践中,致力于从丑恶、现象和现实中发掘并表现恶之美、现象背后的美和瞬间美;他的审美探索具有务实性和浓厚的实践品格,但是,其过激、极端之处也是我们借鉴与评价其美学思想时应该注意的。     

双重任务下我国音乐表演美学的发展及对策

近年来,我国音乐表演美学研究,包括音乐表演美学理论、音乐表演技术、音乐表演美学文献、音乐表演美学学科建设等都取得一定进展。同时,也存在着对音乐表演美学的理解和认识尚处较低层次等方面的不足。基于音乐表演美学专业教育与素质教育的双重任务,我国音乐表演美学必须重视音乐分析,实证研究,借用新的观念和方法,注意传统音乐的挖掘与整理,促使其健康发展。     

Hermeneutics,aesthetics, and the quest for answerability: a dialogic possibility for reconceptualizing the interpretive process in curriculum studies

This study reviews six traditional approaches to hermeneutics and presents a dialogic understanding of hermeneutics. It concludes with specific applications of hermeneutics to curriculum development practices in schools with a focus on inter‐subjectivity. While 20^th‐century access to post‐structural notions of subjectivity through aesthetic experience began to engender a language of possibility rather than a language of certitude for hermeneutic inquiry in curriculum studies, it nevertheless did not fully account for interpretation as a productive and collaborative act in the inter‐subjective sense of being for the other. This study explores the dialogic emergence of this language of possibility through a review of historical and contemporary approaches to hermeneutics, and subsequently proposes an alternative understanding of hermeneutics and aesthetics to offer a reconceptualized vision of the interpretive process for curriculum studies.

元音美学特征对汉语同素异序词的筛选规律初探

从美学角度对语言学领域中的同素异序词做出一些新的解释。透过元音的美学特征,探讨审美因素对此类词的筛选实现怎样的驱动机制,指出审美活动对语言因素的重要影响,从而体现出它们物质层面和精神层面的完美契合。     

健美操美学研究文献综述

通过查阅健美操以及健美操美学的相关文献、书籍,对健美操美学相关概念,即健美操、美学、美的创造、体育美学、体育美等进行了概念的界定;对国内外健美操、美学、体育美学的起源与发展进行了归纳和分析;同时对1992年-2012年间,健美操及健美操美学的科研成果进行分类分析。旨在全面系统的对健美操美学研究进行文献综述,总结存在的不足以及为今后健美操美学研究领域的发展提供理论基础。
