Gaming motivations,avatar-self identification and symptoms of online game addiction

This study conducted a survey of 217 adult game players in Hong Kong to explore the effects of gaming motivations and avatar-self identification on symptoms of online game addiction. Results show that avatar-self identification is positively associated with the problems and salience dimension as well as the uncontrollable game-play dimension of game addiction. The motivation to relax is positively related to perceived avatar-self identification and uncontrollable play; the motivation to socialize in online games is positively linked with the avatar-self identification and both symptoms of online game addiction. The motivation to escape is positively related to the symptom of problems and salience. The drive to achieve virtual accomplishment in online games is negatively associated with the problem caused by gameplay and the salience of online games.

以新加坡李光前参考图书馆为例,重点介绍其绩效管理体系以及评估参考咨询服务的关键绩效指标。通过分析我国公共图书馆参考咨询服务构建绩效管理系统的必要性,结合绩效管理体系构建的前提、方法等,应用平衡计分法从财务、专业服务、内部管理以及团队发展4个维度,提出我国公共图书馆参考咨询服务绩效管理体系以及绩效评估的关键指标体系(KPI)。     

港生内地升读大学的诉求与回应——基于问卷与访谈的分析

为了更好地促进香港学生赴内地升读大学,为了让内地大学及时了解香港考生来内地升学的情况,以便更有针对性地回应他们的诉求,本文基于问卷与访谈的实地调查,以第一手资料梳理了当下港生来内地升读大学的动机、路径和基本诉求,分析内地高校对香港学生招生与就业政策的执行情况,探索在"一国两制"下内地高校对港招生工作的着力点及配套政策的跟进。     

港台地区高校创业教育的特点及启示

自创业教育兴起以来,港台地区高校就积极参与并形成了独具特色的创业教育体系和模式。大陆和港台地区同文同种,在文化传统、大众观念等方面有很大程度的相似性,通过对港台地区高校创业教育特色的梳理分析及合理借鉴,对我国高校创业教育体系的完善具有一定的启发意义。     

Education in Hong Kong: Histories,Mysteries and Myths

This article analyses the varied characteristics of histories of education in Hong Kong and discusses the perspectives that an acquaintance with them can provide. Such a focus encourages consideration of the use of incomplete sources by historians of education, as well as attempts to make sense of past educational developments through periodization. The author adopts a periodization scheme associated with colonialism, which facilitates the identification of mysteries (questions derived from incomplete evidence) and the explanation of myths (answers based on incomplete evidence). He anticipates that a similar approach to other societies could stimulate similar insights into both mysteries and myths.     

Crossing the binary line: the founding of the polytechnic in Colonial Hong Kong

Using the case of the Hong Kong Polytechnic (HKP), this paper examines academic drift in colonial settings. The HKP, like polytechnics in the UK, was supposedly a service sector institution. Under the binary system in the UK, schools in the service division were governed by the state educational bureaucracy, while the universities – the autonomous sector – were under the University Grants Committee (UGC). When the HKP was being founded, however, it became an institution under the UGC of Hong Kong. This article argues that the HKP could cross the binary line because a polytechnic unsubordinated to the local colonial state would be more serviceable to external agents’ interests. This finding suggests that researchers of academic drift – who have hitherto studied exclusively sovereign nations and the impacts of internal factors – should also examine the cases in dependent territories as well as the effects of external influences on such shifts.

通过文献法对香港20世纪50年代至今中小学体育课程内容改革与发展的研究,理清香港中小学体育课程内容自50年代以来的两个发展阶段的特点和构成、今后的基本走向。以期对大陆新体育与健康课程内容的改革与发展提供一定的借鉴与启示。
