ABSTRACT

This article provides new insight into the modernization of the monarchy after the First World War by exploring how George VI promoted fitness and outdoor recreation during the interwar years. Sport functioned as a site of cross-class male bonding which formed part of a wider strategy by the monarchy to strengthen social cohesion. The new royal charities raised substantial funds, and they established a national fitness movement during the 1930s which was supported by the National Government, Labour leaders and the Trades Union Congress, but eschewed extremes on both left and right.     

Space and the City

ABSTRACT

Influenced by interdisciplinary studies and the ‘spatial turn’ in social history, this article explores the relationship between space and the construction of gender identity amongst the poor to middling sorts of seventeenth-century Norwich. To this end I have considered gendered interaction in different ‘types' of space: domestic, private space, ‘borderline’ space – such as the alehouse or threshold – and, finally, the public space of streets and markets. Each section explores the relevance of recent spatial historiography in the Norwich context, and evaluates whether men and women inhabited different ‘worlds' in the city, not only in terms of their physical movement or access to certain places but also, more importantly, in terms of how their presence was perceived, and thus their identity shaped by others. The empirical basis is primarily defamation depositions of the Norwich Diocese Court, largely used by the middling sorts, contextualized where appropriate with secular court records.     

"空间转换"思维模式在组合体读图中的应用

读组合体视图始终是制图教学中的难点和重点,但如果能主动使用“空间转换”思维模式,难点就会得以化解。文章结合实例,具体分析了“空间转换”思维模式在读组合体视图中的作用及其对制图教学的意义。     

苏州地区大学生体育生活形式、内容以及时空结构的研究

采用文献资料、问卷调查等研究方法,对苏州地区11所普通高校800名大学生,就其体育生活形式、内容及其时空结构取舍进行调查分析。结果显示,大学生体育生活形式呈现多元化趋势,体育活动的时间主要集中在下午至晚上课余时间,在校园内的一些免费场馆进行体育锻炼;在活动项内容上,男生参与较多的为三大球,女生则以体操类活动为主,小球居次,一些休闲性、时尚性、娱乐性的项目逐渐成为当代大学生体育生活的一部分。     

中国体育用品制造业产业集聚程度变动趋势的定量研究

基于市场行业集中度指标(CRn)与产业空间集聚指数(β),对中国7大类体育用品制造行业2002-2007年的产业集聚水平进行测定及动态分析.结果表明:2002-2007年我国7大类体育用品制造行业的产品销售收入排名前6位的省(市)主要是广东、江苏、山东、浙江、福建和上海,该6个地区均隶属东部,中、两部则榜上无名,说明中国体育用品制造业产业集聚程度的区域差异非常明显.2002-2007年我国体育用品制造业、球类制造业、训练健身器材制造业、运动防护用具制造业、文教体育用品制造业与其他体育用品制造业的产业空间集聚指数均呈增长趋势,而体育器材及配件制造业的产业空间集聚指数却呈下降趋势.按其增幅大小顺序依次为:运动防护用具制造业>文教体育用品制造业>球类制造业>体育用品制造业>其他体育用品制造业>训练健身器材制造业.2007年运动防护用具制造业、球类制造业和其他体育用品制造业的产业空间集聚指数分别位居前三甲(β>0.1),其余4大类体育用品制造行业也均大于0.05,产业空间集聚指数位于0.05及以下的体育用品制造行业则为无,表明我国区域体育用品制造行业的空间集聚程度已非常显著.同时,就国内7大类体育用品制造行业的产业空间集聚指数与工业生产总值展开相关分析发现,中国工业总产值和体育用品制造业空间集聚程度存在较高的正相关关系.     

健美操教学空间的优化设计

空间这一概念的内涵十分广泛,古往今来不知引起多少思辨,且对其的认识一直在变更。当前学术界,研究者们对其认识也在不断深化,并且己经开始就自己的专业领域展开研究。在这里尝试从教学领域对健美操教学“空间”的优化设计进行探讨、研究。研究认为：健美操教学空间的优化设计应从拓展教师内在思维空间、预设学生自我体悟空间、互动师生情感空间、艺术缩短时间距离四方面着手。     

反思与争鸣：缔造中国武术的生存空间

文章采用文献资料法、逻辑分析法,运用文化学、历史学等相关理论,以中国武术为研究对象,从民族文化视角来研究中国武术的发展问题。中国武术作为民族文化的一种符号和身份象征,要走出“文化失语”的困惑,要敢于同历史对话、同现实对话、同自己对话。要调整自己的文化立场,开拓属于自身的生存空间,最终也守护着民族文化的大空间,延续着民族的文明进程。     

‘I'm not going to be in Japan forever’: how Filipina immigrant youth in Japan construct the meaning of home

This article, based on an ethnographic study of five Filipino-born daughters of Filipina migrant workers in Japan, discusses how these young women construct understandings of home as they navigate the borderlands between the Philippines, Japan and the US. The study reveals the ways in which these young women negotiate the possibilities and constraints of their homeland in the Philippines, their new land of Japan and an imagined future home in the US. Their senses of safety, economic security, community and cultural/linguistic affirmation all affected how they understand these countries as potential and possible homes. The study reveals how these youth search for and build homes across multiple spaces and the struggles they encounter within that search.     

立体构成艺术在服饰图案设计中的应用研究

随着国内服装业的快速发展,服饰图案设计显得愈发重要,而国内服装行业的批量化生产和单一的设计,直接制约了服饰图案设计的发展。从立体构成艺术与服饰图案设计的契合点出发,探究通过各种自然材料和人工材料的综合运用去开发具有三维空间的服饰图案的可能性,这些材质变化会给人带来服饰图案视觉上的新感受,满足消费者追求品味、时尚与服饰个性的需求。     

Child‐rearing and Parental ‘Intentions' in Postmodernity

This paper aims at revealing the various meanings of schools as more than built physical environments from a geographical‐phenomenological (or ‘geo‐phenomenological’) perspective. This paper consists of five sections: the first explicates the meaning of ‘geo‐phenomenology’; the second reveals the meaning of ‘environment’ and a dialectics of strangeness and intimacy through geo‐phenomenological analysis; the third examines the meanings of environment as ‘space’ and ‘place’ and the act of naming as the process of constructing meaning between humans and environment; the fourth section attempts to explore the meaning of conceiving school as a particular environment; and the final is the conclusion.
