师范英语教育专业听力课教学模式初探

听力课是英语教育专业的一门重要课程。学生的听力理解能力直接影响着他们英语知识的学习能力和语言技能的应用能力,而传统听力课程教学模式中诸多问题的存在使听力课教学模式的改革迫在眉睫。就传统听力课堂教学中的教学氛围、教师角色和教学模式进行了分析,并对新型听力课堂教学模式进行了探讨,以达到提高英语听力课堂教学之实效。

英语听力是大学英语教学的主要任务之一,高校对大学生英语的教学都重视培养学生的听力。听力既重要又难以掌握。通过探讨英语听力教学中的几点建议,帮助大学生科学、系统地克服困难,提高他们的英语听力水平。     

The link between basing self-worth on academics and student performance depends on domain identification and academic setting

Two studies showed that the link between how much students base their self-worth on academics and their math performance depends on whether their identification with math was statistically controlled and whether the task measured ability or not. Study 1 showed that, when math identification was uncontrolled and the task was ability-diagnostic, basing self-worth on academics was unrelated to the students' math performance. When math identification was controlled, however, the more students based self-worth on academics the worse their math performance. Study 2 showed that, when math identification was uncontrolled and the task was ability non-diagnostic, the more students based self-worth on academics the better their math performance. When math identification was controlled, however, students' level of basing self-worth on academics was unrelated to math performance. These results held for females and males even when gender was made salient. In both studies, higher math identification linked to better math performance.     

Cognitive biases in the interpretation of autonomic arousal: A test of the construal bias hypothesis

According to Bandura’s construal bias hypothesis, derived from social cognitive theory, persons with the same heightened state of autonomic arousal may experience either pleasant or deleterious emotions depending on the strength of perceived self-efficacy. The current study tested this hypothesis by proposing that college students’ preexisting efficacy beliefs may affect how physiological arousal during exams is construed as a valence of positive emotion. Survey data were collected from 172 students in a statistics course at a large research university in the Midwest. Students provided self-reported intensity of autonomic arousal during previous exams, statistics self-efficacy, and positive affect toward a proximal final exam. The construal bias hypothesis was supported by a significant interaction between autonomic arousal and self-efficacy on the dependent variable positive affect. Results revealed that as autonomic arousal increased, so did the moderating effect of self-efficacy. Specifically, as physiological arousal intensified, students with high or low self-efficacy reported divergent levels of positive emotion. Implications for theory, research, and practice are discussed.     

瑞典学能测验初探

瑞典位于北欧斯堪的纳维亚半岛东半部,是世界经济发达国家之一,以全民高福利著称。实施全民免费教育,对国际学生也不收费。国民人均受教育年限很高。统合高中教育和高等教育都很有自己的特色。而作为进入瑞典大学接受高等教育的三种方式之一的瑞典学能测验(Swedish Scholastic AssessmentTest,SweSAT)已有30多年的历史,为学生选择适合自己的大学,大学选择适合自己专业领域的学生,提供了重要的参考依据。本文首先对瑞典学能测验的历史、测验的组成、实施过程等方面做一个概要性的阐述。然后介绍了瑞典学能测验面临的问题及其对中国考试的几点启示。     

外语自主学习模式中词汇随机性测试系统的开发与应用

文章探索了用微软office工具Excel实现外语词汇随机性测试的方法,提出的词汇随机测试模型包括测试词语抽取随机性和受试学生选择随机性两个维度。提出的周期性随机测试模型遵循人类大脑记忆原则,符合大脑的记忆遗忘规律,可以用作外语自主学习模式中学生形成性评价的一个重要工具。     

理解性学习与倾听式教学——“二阶控制论”的启示

学与教的理论是教育技术学乃至教育学的核心理论基础。文章基于建构主义的研究方法论之"二阶控制论",深入探讨了一种新型的教学理境——理解性学习与倾听式教学,意即学生的学需要从"接受"转向"反思",教师的教需要从"灌输"转向"倾听",以期促成传统学与教理念的转变,逐步在实践中形成全新而有效的教学观。
