精品课程,贵在参与,重在建设——来自国家精品课程“英语写作”团队的报告

2003年,教育部启动了国家精品课程建设项目;2007年,结合"质量工程"项目,继续推进精品课程建设工作。2010年,《国家中长期教育改革和发展规划纲要》发布,明确提出提高教学质量,是高等教育未来十年的发展方向。在此宏大背景之下,文章采用回顾的视角,总结了清华大学外语系申报国家精品课程"英语写作"(1-4级水平)的情况,介绍了在建过程中取得的阶段性成果,旨在加强互相交流,体现"人文关怀"视角下的"技术精巧"路线,促进写作课程的改革,实现优质教学资源的共建共享。     

Research and policy on the language of instruction issue in Africa

Since 1995 I have been engaged in consultancies and since 2001 in research dealing with the language of instruction policies in Africa. To what extent are the policies being implemented? What is the role of research and consultancy when it comes to language policy? What happens when researchers or consultants come up with recommendations which do not please donors or the people of power? My paper builds on a consultancy on the language policy of Namibia from 1995, the stock-taking exercise of ADEA/GTZ/UIL of 2006, as well as on research results and experiences gathered within the LOITASA (Language of Instruction in Tanzania and South Africa) project. In the first part of the article I give two examples where the policy recommendations by the consultants/researchers have not been followed up. I give an example of a consultancy that has had some impact on the policy formulation in some African countries. Recommendations from only one of the four studies/consultancies looked at have been thoroughly followed up. These recommendations were in line with what the donors wanted, but did not logically follow from the research done. In the second part of the article I deal with the challenge of making policy research relevant for those most greatly affected by the policy. This means working for a paradigm shift in the research and consultancy on language policies in Africa. It also means looking at the power of misconceptions held by lay people. Towards the end of the article I discuss changing a belief system which has become common knowledge. I show examples of how Tanzanian colleagues in the LOITASA project are trying to do this.     

Changing views and perceptions: the impact of the Australian Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program on students

The Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program has been delivered at 2 prisons in Victoria, Australia, Dame Phyllis Frost Centre and Marngoneet Correctional Centre, since 2015. Selected university (outside) students and prisoners (inside) engage in a collaborative learning environment, studying Comparative Criminal Justice Systems. Students critique complex criminal justice material and undertake university standard assessments. The programme was evaluated through pre-test and post-test surveys and focus groups. This paper outlines this evaluation, including the similarities and differences between inside and outside students’ experience, their knowledge of the criminal justice system, the stereotypes and the values, and challenges of the Inside-Out programme. Student views of the criminal justice system and each other were challenged and changed, often in unexpected ways. The knowledge from this evaluation will contribute to the improvement of Inside-Out processes and outcomes, nationally and internationally.

运用文献资料法、实验法等研究方法研究,指出民族传统体育作为中华五千年丈明象征的一个重要组成部分目前正面临着被遗弃和灭绝的边缘,而阳光体育运动的启动无疑为拯救濒危的民族传统体育提供了发展契机;在高校阳光体育活动中开展民族传统体育运动的效果是显著的,而且只有进一步对其项目进行整合、创新和研发,才能满足当代大学生对民族传统体育不同方位的需求。

“Intel未来教育”教师培训,以它基于项目,以问题为驱动,强调学员主动参与,重视掌握方法和亲身体验,重视训练学员的自我学习和自我发展能力,重视让学员之间交流合作、相互支持的培训特色,取得了高效优质的培训效果,这种培训的成功之处,对其他各种培训活动具有重要的启示作用,值得在各种培训活动中学习借鉴。

C语言中for循环语句教学研究

《C语言程序设计》是一门理论与实践相结合的课程,理论教学是实践教学的基础。理论教学的目的不仅在于取得良好的实验效果,更是为了让学习者在实践教学中更好地掌握和理解知识点。因此,在理论教学中,要尽量避免空洞的理论讲解和“满堂灌”的教学模式,而应该采用“案例式”的启发教学模式,实例切记大、难、繁,应选取实用价值高、趣味性强、容易理解的简单例题。for循环语句是整个C语言程序结构中的一个重点内容,也是学好《C语言程序设计》的基础条件之一。采用案例教学法对C语言for循环语句的运用进行了研究。     

DVD在线租赁

通过建立一种比较新颖的网站在线DVD租赁模型,合理安排了网站购买DVD的数量和分配其会员租赁的DVD,在满足会员偏爱程度(权重)最大的基础上,依据基本概率论、0-1规划的方法,从已知表格的数据中导出权重,制定了DVD的租赁计划,然后综合考虑网站的最大收益和会员的最大满意度,得出最优的分配方案,并对模型做出了评价和改进.

学困干预尤其是在学校层面实施学困干预需要配套的实施系统,多元干预突破学困温情教育计划下的实践操作系统提供了平台与载体.本文对组成该计划实践操作系统的操作模式、课程结构和训练设备三个核心部分进行初步的分析与评介.     

Using Targeted Distributed Collections to Enhance Government Depository Collections at a Regional Level: The ASERL Collaborative Federal Depository Program

The Association of Southeastern Research Libraries is exploring options for collaborative services and collection analysis for federal government publications in order to improve public access to those collections. The Collaborative Federal Depository Program has developed “Centers of Excellence” (COE), representing multiple complete collections of publications for each federal agency. Working together to create a distributed print retention program, southeastern depository libraries agreed to collect, maintain, and provide access to publications for specific government agencies. The authors discuss the development of the COE model and the expected impact of a regionally based distributed print archive for government documents, and provide an implementation case study.
