正交频分复用光通信实验系统设计与实现

设计了基于直接检测的正交频分复用(DD-OFDM)光通信实验系统,能够反映出OFDM光通信系统的主要特征,且离实用距离较近。DD-OFDM光通信系统包括OFDM信号的构造、OFDM信号的析构以及光纤传输3个部分功能,在实验中分别由任意信号发送器、数字系列分析仪以及自行搭建的光纤传输链路实现,实现了10 Gbit/s二进制序列经16QAM映射、64载波传输、在25 km单模光纤中的可靠传输。给出星座图和不同接收光功率条件下系统的误码性能的实验结果。为OFDM高速光通信的教学与科研提供实验平台和实验样板。     

基于两种算法的天然气管网运行优化技术

为了保证管网能够安全、高效、经济地运行,建立了基于两种优选算法的天然气管网优化模型。在对比了现有各种优化算法的基础上,选用改进线性逼近法和序列二次规划法作为天然气管网运行优化研究的算法,分析了两种算法的原理,并以运行能耗最低为目标进行优化计算研究。为了既能满足生产需求,降低算法本身对目标函数和约束条件的依赖性,又能够保证计算效率和稳定性,优选出序列二次规划法,从生产实际出发建立一套通用性较强的天然气管网稳态运行优化模型,也为软件开发提供前期的数据分析。     

层次分析法在《绩效管理》课程的教学思路及案例解析

《绩效管理》课程是人力资源管理专业的专业核心课程之一,该课程的重点内容是利用定性和定量方法对组织内的人员进行绩效考核与评价。由于此部分内容涉及较多的统计学的综合评价分析原理及步骤,在教学过程中师生普遍反映有一定的难度。究其原因,主要在于学生未能将综合评价分析方法与绩效考核流程相结合。文章归纳总结了综合评价方法在绩效考核课程的运用思路,其中关键点是构建评价指标体系和估算权重,并通过案例展示了层次分析法(AHP)在绩效考核中的教学思路及步骤以便于教学。     

Drama to Enhance the Speaking Skills of EFL/ESL Learners

The paper starts with introducing the definition of drama. Then, many drama techniques are introduced. Next, Advantages of using drama techniques are discussed. Nonetheless, some problems in using drama in ESL/EFL are pointed out. The paper concludes that drama offers a useful educational tool to support communicative language teaching for EFL/ESL learners.

Test-Run of the Live Global Classroom

How can we make it possible for instructors and students from different countries and regions to meet"face-to-face"and experience live teaching and learning?The most economic and efficient solution is the"live global classroom".This paper provides an example of the live global classroom approach conducted cooperatively by the American Alliance for International Education and the University of Science and Technology Beijing,which was aimed at educating undergraduate engineering students over the Internet.In this paper,we introduce the background for the live global classroom,the demands of the"Plan for Educating and Training Outstanding Engineers"in China,the operational model,the technical requirements for the project and its current organizational challenges.Internationalized e-learning is expected to lead the trend of remote teaching,not only in language learning but also in engineer educating in China.     

The effect of mastery goal-complexes on mathematics grades and engagement: The case of Low-SES Peruvian students

Recent research anchored in achievement goal theory suggests mastery goals are more adaptive when endorsed for autonomous rather than controlled reasons. We report on two studies (N = 622) in which we explored whether the combined effects of goals and reasons on academic outcomes were different for a sample of low-SES youth than for other older higher-SES samples in the literature. Participants were low-SES high-school students in Lima, Peru. The results show that autonomous reasons for endorsing mastery goals positively predicted students' collective engagement and mathematics grades above the effect of mastery goals as such. Second, controlled reasons negatively predicted end-of-the year math grades. Finally, mastery goals’ relations with mathematics grades and behavioral engagement were attenuated when endorsed for low autonomous reasons. The findings extend the knowledge on mastery goal-complexes and show they apply to low-SES students.
