关于媒体融合的几点思索

“媒体融合”概念越来越频繁地进入人们视线,美国已有新闻传播院系设立“媒体融合”专业或方向,更在研究者在美国佛罗里达进行了一次大规模的尝试,将30多个媒体放在了同一个大平台坦帕(TAMPA)上运作;对这次自觉的试验,我们需要进行理性的思考,即“媒体融合”假设是否成立;是否已形成理论、或在理论上能表述清楚;通过试验能否提供一些数据、定律供研究者检验操作;它将为新闻采写和传播模式带来怎样的变革等等。     

US news magazine images of black‐Asian American relationships, 1980–1992

During the past 20 years, primarily Latinos and Asians have immigranted to these shores and settled in urban areas. Media sources assert that this influx created particularly problematic relations between blacks and Asian Americans. Using Frame theory and textual analysis, we explored the images newsmagazines produced of this relationship. We found that one frame predominated: the nature of group relations had to do with each group's “essential”; qualities. Within this frame there also appeared four media packages: 1) the nature of the urban space, 2) the role of culture in the quality of relationships, 3) the essential qualities of urban residents and 4) the preeminence of class over race. Analysis of black‐Asian American relationships, while not strictly hegemonic, rarely deviated from accepted critiques. The nature of the coverage constrained understanding to personal shortcomings, while poverty and racial strife were rarely associated with historical and structural factors.     

嵌入式交互系统设计方案及其比较

交互系统设计是嵌入式产品开发的重要部分。分析介绍了媒体播放器和网络电视产品中三种主要的交互系统设计的原理和框架:基于QT/MINIGUI的设计方案、基于浏览器的设计方案、基于FLASH技术的设计方案。比较了三种方案在CC1200硬件平台上的评测结果,分析了各自的优缺点和适应性。预测了交互系统设计的发展方向,为嵌入式交互系统的设计开发提供帮助。     

Media Marathoning and Health Coping

This study uses Grounded Theory to analyze interviews with a dozen individuals who media marathoned while going through a health struggle. The analysis addresses five major themes: engaging in escapism that enables emotional and avoidance coping, regulating cognitive expenditure by embracing challenging or comforting content, being still to heal the body, reducing emotional and cognitive strain by engaging a continuous narrative, and tapering from the marathon when feeling better. Findings suggest that media marathoning can offer beneficial cognitive, emotional, and physical regulatory opportunities for those dealing with health struggles. Furthermore, media marathoning when dealing with a health concern is a strategic and active coping strategy that has potential health benefits.     

Informational Sources,Social Media Use,and Race in the Flint,Michigan, Water Crisis

Safe, clean water is necessary for health and well-being. Water issues affect minority and vulnerable populations at disproportionate rates, including the poor and racial and ethnic minorities. An investigation of the relationships of race, social media use, and informational sources during the municipal water crisis in Flint, Michigan, reflects an instrumental view of communication and uses and gratifications theory in this study. Data from 208 Flint residents in 2016 indicated that African American respondents favored interpersonal networks and resources and were more likely than other racial groups to obtain current information about the water crisis via Instagram. Preferred channels and sources to receive additional crisis information varied on the basis of race.     

Learning Politics From Social Media: Interconnection of Social Media Use for Political News and Political Issue and Process Knowledge

Drawing on a national survey of 1,157 South Korean adults, the present study finds that social media use for political news is positively associated with knowledge about political issues, but not with knowledge about political processes. Professional media use for political news is significantly associated with both political issue knowledge and political process knowledge. The impact of social media for news on political issue knowledge increases with the additive role of professional media news use. This study also finds that political talk strengthens the positive association between social media use for news and political issue knowledge.     

传媒视角与策略分析：《文化批判》对“革命文学”的推动

《文化批判》作为后期创造社“方向转换”时期的重要刊物,试图确立一种新的文化意识形态,为青年人的革命实践提供思想武器。文章从文学传媒的视角出发,对《文化批判》推动“革命文学”发展的策略进行了分析,着力从理论与旗帜、出版部与阵地、论战与影响力、读者与互动四个方面展开论述,多方面考察《文化批判》是如何发挥媒介手段的力量,成功推动“革命文学”在中国发展的。

科学技术的发展,尤其是信息技术的突飞猛进,使红色文化传承面临新的挑战,同时也为其创造了新的机遇。文章从新媒体角度探析了遵义红色文化传承所面临的机遇与挑战。     

Distinction on the box: Cultural capital and the social space of broadcasting

The literature on cultural capital has had relatively little to say about television viewing, except insofar as television has served as a negative point of reference in relation to which other cultural practices register their distinctiveness. This article, by contrast, examines the respects in which practices of distinction are operative within the space of broadcast television. Looking first at the ‘internal economy’ of television as expressed in the relations between genre, programme and channel preferences, it then examines how these preferences are related to occupational class, gender, level of education and ethnicity. While showing that divisions within the space of broadcasting are most powerfully articulated in terms of age and gender, the article also shows that occupational class and level of education play important roles in stratifying television audiences along traditional ‘high’/‘low’ lines. A closer analysis of the relations between these variables reveals more complex patterns of distinction, particularly in the place occupied by ‘new drama’ and ‘new comedy’ in the preferences of younger, well-educated viewers.
