AbstractThis study analyses whether narrative skill and the perception of values/countervalues among students in primary school vary according to the structure (narrative vs non-narrative) of the episodes of fiction viewed, the grade age (third and sixth, 8–12 years old), sex and attentional level. With this purpose in mind, quantitative and qualitative methodologies were implemented. The most noteworthy results include the higher narrative skill and perception of values/countervalues of students in the sixth grade of primary school and those who viewed an episode with a narrative structure. The conclusion is that when addressing narrative skills and the education in values/countervalues from the formal and informal spheres, special importance should be attached to the structure of the fiction contents, given that it can to some extent help students make the messages meaningful in terms of values and countervalues. 相似文献

ABSTRACTThis study aims to investigate the change blindness and cognitive processes with eye-tracking method in multimedia learning environment. For this purpose, a multimedia animation which had some changes was designed. The eye movements were examined during the process of detecting the changes in multimedia via eye-tracking technics. The research model was defined as controlled experiment and survey methods. Twenty-one ungraduated students participated in the experiment. Attention and perception levels of participants were determined by d2 Attention Test and Group Embedded Figures Test. Change detection numbers of participants were analyzed according to their attention level and field dependence. The appearance of a major object on the scene was the most detected change and the change on the detail object was detected less. According to findings about the attention level and change detection, the participants at high attention level were more successful at detecting change in multimedia. It was observed that field-independent individuals could detect the change much more compared to the field-dependent individuals. 相似文献

ABSTRACT The role and importance of peripheral vision have been discussed across various sports. Yet, its functionality remains unclear and the terms employed in the literature to characterize the use of peripheral vision are not well defined. We present a review of 29 studies focusing on the use of peripheral vision in sports. We focus on the methodological approaches employed to study its use and identify the mechanisms that may underlie the effective use of peripheral vision in sport. We define key differences between ‘gaze anchors’ and ‘visual pivots’ and introduce the concept of a ‘foveal spot’. All three gaze behaviors, while being characterized by a consistent, dynamically adjustable gaze location, have different functionalities. A gaze anchor is a cue-optimized position used for the monitoring of peripheral cues and avoiding the negative consequences of saccades (i.e. information suppression), especially under time pressure. A visual pivot is a distance-optimized location between relevant cues which allows athletes to optimally initiate saccades to those cues, especially if the costs of eye-movements are low. A foveal spot is primarily used for information processing via the fovea. Finally, we highlight suggestions for future research to improve our understanding of the functional differences between these gaze behaviors. 相似文献

This article illustrates some ways in which observations of typically-developing infants can inform music therapy and other
work with children with disabilities. The research project that is described examines typical infant development with special
attention to musical relatedness and communication. Videotapes of sessions centering on musical play with typically-developing
infants and of music therapy sessions of children with multiple severe disabilities are examined in light of developmental
issues, conceptual frameworks, and relationships between typical development and developmental issues of children with disabilities.
Greenspan’s model of psychosocial development is used as a basis for analyzing observations.
This research was conducted over a period of several years. Portions of what is reported here were presented at the European
